Hello! Naeva Ami here to try something different. Still a bit new to this place, trying to figure things out. Figured in addition to a regular 1x1 search, I might post a tiny group search. Sorry this thing ain't fancy. I haven't yet figured out fancy.
Its something I haven't done often before but the few times I have, I liked it alot! Though they died quick. I'm hoping we could do better here?
So here's the deal. I'm looking to start a tiny group roleplay, with a total of 3-4 people TOTAL. No more. The idea is more to expand upon the 1x1 concept, than to shrink the group concept. I want a small group of roleplayers to come together to tell a story. A hopefully tight knit group of committed writers, that understand life is busy for many of us. A roleplay where we try to be somewhat consistent on posting, but not strict requirements. A casual paced story. Heres a few of the specifics I have in mind, in bullet point form:
So, hopefully all of that sounds good to you. It sounds good to me! But if you have any questions or concerns, please do ask.
With that said, Its time to discuss what the rp would actually be about. The thing that may kill interest in my idea, sadly. Below I'll present two 'concepts'. These are not meant to be full plots, but ideas on a setting, characters, or story for a roleplay. Its meant to get conversation starting, so we can plan the real story as a group, together. If you're interested in one, or both, please post a reply saying as much. The first idea to get 2 people (other than myself) interested, is what we'll do. If both get enough people interested, I may start up both, but we'll see. So, heres the concepts!
CONCEPT 1:
A small group of young adults is sick of the world. Society's prejudices, judgemental attitude, and out of date rules simply drag the world down. A new order is needed. New laws, new responsibilities, new jobs. New everything. This group believes the world needs a reset. They've met online plenty of times to discuss their ideal world view. However now, they've come together with a plan to make it happen. A brand new city of their own making. The target land is an uninhabited island in Europe that is unclaimed by any country. Here they plan to start their own city state, starting from the dirt and trees, in hopes of building up into a large metropolis. Follow the journey of these young dreamers as they attempt to construct their utopia.
CONCEPT 2:
Its the year 2058. The world is in a state of flux. Technology has progressed to a point where changing an individual's body is no longer limited to plastic surgery, tattoos, implants or haircuts. The procedures certainly aren't cheap, nor quick. But the ability to change who you are from the ground up is now available. The machines and their operators are able to restructure the human body in nearly any way. Height, muscle mass, bone structure, facial structure, voice, eye colour, hair colour, even skin colour. Body proportions are subject to change, as are imperfections. The most controversial change however, is to memory. Those undergoing such changes have the option to erase their memories, and very personalities. To undergo mental conditioning to change who they are. While some people are more than happy to take this approach, it does leave way for a new kind of crime and manipulation to exist in this time. Those who use this technology to erase people entirely. To manipulate and mold someone into someone else.
One rule for the procedure however, is an age requirement of twenty one. An age of legal consent, and time to ensure the body has stopped the majority of its growth. A group of young adults have arrived at the facility for an orientation on their potential upcoming procedure. They may know eachother, or may not. Its time for them to decide if they want to throw away who they are, create themselves anew. Or, are they there to change someone else? Perhaps they have second thoughts.
And there we go. Those are the two concepts I have at this time. If you're interested, let me know! Any questions, I'm happy to discuss or answer!

A roleplay where we try to be somewhat consistent on posting, but not strict requirements. A casual paced story. Heres a few of the specifics I have in mind, in bullet point form:
- 3-4 people total
- Goal of everyone posting once every week, or once every two weeks.
- Romance is fluid. This means, it is not required for the rp to have romance. This isn't about 'pairing up' characters together. If characters look like they'll be a romantic match, we can have romance. But no need to force it, nor focus the roleplay around it. If two characters are going to start in a relationship, thats fine too.
- No strict gender roles. We could all play females. Or all males. Or a mixture. Doesn't matter. Again, this isn't about pairing up for romance.
- Looking to have posts be a minimum of three paragraphs, and a maximum of ten. If you get writer's block and can't write three? Then don't write yet. We're in no rush. This is about fun and storytelling, not pumping out posts because you have to. If you're truly stuck, communicate with the group to get some new ideas, help, or restructure things in a previous person's post. I want this to be a group effort, not just a place to quick post out your fantasies solo.
- While I would like to reserve the right to lead the rp's creation and starting direction, I would like a group effort towards storytelling and plot direction. I may have the authority to start and manage this, but I'm not the dictator of every story beat.
- I reserve the right to accept or refuse anyone into a group, as well as to remove you from the group if you're being a problem for the other members. That said, I hope and doubt it'll ever come to that. So far people seem pretty chill on RPN.
- Respect and communication are HUGE. Come to the table with both, please. No I don't expect you to chat with everyone about your day, but you certainly can if you wish. But I do expect you to be open to discussing the plot, characters, and movements in the rp. I also expect everyone to treat eachother with respect and kindness. If you have a problem with someone, please sort it out in private, not within the rp.
- Looking for long term commitment. The idea isn't to have a 'one night stand' of an rp, or to just casually disappear one day. If you're no longer interested, or life commitments interfere, that's fine. Let us know. But please only join if you believe that you can commit to the group.
- I encourage branched off stories. What this means, is if you and another in the group want to start a 1x1 using the characters, or side characters in the rp, feel free to do so. However, be sure to clue in the group on whats happened, if it affects our main story, and ask permission if anything will be a major effect, or time sink to the story.
So, hopefully all of that sounds good to you. It sounds good to me! But if you have any questions or concerns, please do ask.
