"Aisling..." The trees whispered," It wouldn't be a good idea to approach this boy.. He is in a mood.."

A glow came from Leo as Aisling approached,"No... I'm not meant to be here. The only reason I am hurt is because of him.." Leo's body began to ignite as he sat against the tree. "Pain... Suffering.... Humiliation... Everything in my life, even my wing." Leo said grabbing at his back and screaming. He noticed the footsteps behind him and and turned his head to see Aisling. She walked right up to him and kneeled down hugging him. The flames around the boy went away and his heart beat calmed as well. Aisling's words interrupted the silence. She sat back and relaxed while smiling at him. "Aisling... You came to find me, but what about Tomoya? He must wonder about you.. You two seemed to hit it off really well back there. I thought running away again would have been smart, you should have just let me go. You have targeted yourself dead meat with being near me!" Leo detested looking into Aisling's eyes. "don't you care!?"

"Leo's clothes were still warm to the touch and the tree behind him scorched. "Ah! He gasped. "I burnt the tree! No, no, no! Mother would never forgive me for this..." Leo said turning around to the tree, holding his hands to it and beginning to mend its burns. "I always new I would take after my mother.. I wish my dad had something to do to my genes other than my wing and my heritage.." Leo stopped himself and starred awkwardly at Aisling. He jumped back and landed on his butt waving his hands, back and forth,"I mean it's not like I am some kind of prince! That would be crazy!" He said laughing slightly. Leo lunged forward tackling Aisling in a hug. "Thank you Aisling.. for caring.." He said closing his eyes. Their heart beats echoed against each other, they could both feel the beats getting faster. Leo's eyes opened quickly and he blushed letting Aisling up. "I am so sorry!?" Leo said standing up and bowing to her, as the tree's laughter echoed, not only to Leo, but to Aisling as well. "That's a bit quick to pulling that one aye boy?" One tree called out.

"Care?" She echoed. "Yes... I care about you and if you are alright." She said simply. "Their opinion isn't of any concern to me." Her bright eyes went up to the tree as Leo finally noticed its wound. That was why Aisling felt pain... She was about to touch the tree but Leo was already healing it. Her eyes got wide when she realized he could do things like she could. She watched him in a joyful amazement as he rambled about his parents. There was something about a prince but, she wasn't really sure what hat meant and he seemed embarrassed so she didn't ask.

Aisling squealed when she was tackled in a hug. Small hands clung to him as she felt him heart hammering against her own chest, his face barely an inch away. Pale cheeks turned a bright red as he let her go. She sat up and laughed lightly. "I-it's okay." Her sleeves had fallen down to her wrists exposing the majority of her marks. She pulled them back into place as she smiled, listening to the trees. Her eyes looked up at the large oak before looking over at Leo. "They like to tease you it seems." She told him. Pushing herself to her feet she wiped at the grass clinging to her legs. "You must talk to them often for them to be so comfortable with you." Her smile faded and she looked back towards the school. Something felt wrong. She wasn't sure what it was but there was something going on she couldn't understand.

"And what are you doing here young one?" Another tree asked. "It isn't often we see your kind. You are either humanized, or dead."

Aisling hung her head a bit, digging her toe into the dirt. She had such a respect for the trees, they were so wise and understanding. "Yeah I... I am a bit different than most of my kind." She said nervously, a bit embarrassed, clearly, but her mind was else where... the strange feeling coming from the school.

Leo listened as well as he could, until he felt it, A deep dark aura. Thick with hate and pain that clearly caused something bad to happen. "I know this aura.. Tomoya.." Leo whispered. He took off in a dead sprint ignoring the trees,"Aisling, I will bring you back later! Something has happened!" Leo said out of the forest running back towards the cafeteria. In the distance was Tomoya, walking slowly towards the forest in his usual manor. "Tomoya!" He screamed. After getting to him, Tomoya stopped in front of him with his head down. Leo out of breath also stopped,"Tomoya, what did you do..." He said breathing slightly heavy.

Aisling jumped as Leo ran past her. "Leo!" She called but he was gone already. A frown crossed her face, things weren't good.

"You better get going young one, things aren't going well." A tree told her.

She looked up. "I know that. But it's not like I can fix it. What's done is done...."She sighed. "But I don't want them to get hurt again..." So she took off running in the direction Leo had gone. Legs pumping hard, she had a difficult time stopping when she found them, Blowing past, Leo she collided and half tripped as she smacked into Tomoya's chest, falling down to her butt on the ground at his feet. "Ow..." She mumbled as she tried to catch her breath. Looking up she was still panting for breath. There was something heavy in the air about their other friend, she could feel it just by being near him. A crushing weight in the air. Getting to her feet she put a small hand on his shoulder. "Are you...okay?" She asked him.

Tomoya had just been walking near the forest opening when Leo came running out. As Tomoya went to speak, Aisling also came running out from the forest. As she tried to stop, she fell into Tomoya's chest and then onto the ground. As she got up, Leo asked him "Tomoya, what did you do?" and as Aisling got to her feet, she put her hand on his shoulder asking something similar.

Tomoya looked at the two, with his eyes a deep blue. Both looked concerned about him. "Hm? I'm fine. I just went and talked with that phoenix guy who was giving you a hard time. I think he understands that his actions were unacceptable now" he lied. Tomoya smiled a little bit as he looked at Aisling. "And why are you worried about me? Look at this guy!" he exclaimed while putting Leo in a playful headlock. "He's covered in enough food to feed the three of us for two whole days, and you worry about me?" he laughed wholeheartedly and smiled as he spoke. "I mean, the food here sucks anyways though, so let's go grab food somewhere else, alright?" he asked as he also pulled Aisling in and let Leo out of the headlock. Tomoya put his arms around the two as he smiled some more. "The food will always taste better when you're with friends though. So where do you guys want to go?" he asked.

He was still trying to avoid the subject matter of what had just happened in the cafeteria. He didn't want to scare off his new friends already, but if they were to find out, it might be too late.

Leo stumbled away from the head lock only to be brought back into Tomoya for a kind of half hug. Leo was concerned. Tomoya wasn't telling him the truth. "Right Tomoya, lets go to the Grotto? I hear they have shops there that have great food!" He exclaimed trying to get Tomoya and Aisling away from the cafe. "I think I am gonna have pizza!" He proclaimed. Aisling's bright eyes seemed to be fixed on Tomoya. I wonder if she will be able to handle the two of us... I'd hate to se her go mad. Leo thought. "Aisling, what do you think..?" He said silently with a red face, dwindling his thumbs while he walked towards the grotto.

As the three progressed towards the Grotto Leo couldn't help but wonder what Tomoya actually did. Ignoring his urge to ask Leo moved his wing around trying to stretch it out. "I wish I wasn't half Phoenix..." He said aloud.

Aisling let out a tense breath as Tomoya said he was alright. Pulling her hand away she grinned as she watched him pull Leo into a headlock and pick on him a bit. But then she was pulled in. Her squeal of surprise turned into a giggle. Red faced she looked up at the two boys. Her head tilted towards Leo as he started talking about the next place they'd go to try and eat. "Um, sure?" Then her eyes lit up as she removed herself from under Tomoya's arm. "Oh! Can we get ice cream?" She asked excitedly as she jumped up and down. "I've never had it before but it just looks so good!" Her excitement faded when she saw the sadness on Leo's face.

Stepping between the boy's she hooked their arms with her own again. She tugged on Leo's to get his attention. "You know... I could... help you fly, until your wing grows back, if you want." Her eyes flicked up to Tomoya. "You too... if you wanted to fly, and can't. Because I really have no idea what you can do." The puzzled look on her face quickly vanished as she looked back to Leo to see if her suggestion had improved his mood at all.

He looked at Aisling as she removed herself from his arm. She had a glint in her eye as she asked about ice cream. "You've never had ice cream before? Well then it's decided" he said cheerfully. She then ran in between the two boys and wrapped her arms around theirs. Tomoya's face a little red because of the sudden gesture, but happy to be with friends nonetheless.

Aisling then said something about flying, as she looked at the two boys. "Flying, huh? I've never been, so that would be an experience and a half" he said looking at Aisling. "And as for what I can do, I try and do as little as possible. I can't get in trouble that way" he laughed.

"Flying... It is like a different world. Trying to explain it, in my opinion, is impossible." He proclaimed looking down to the ground. "I feel like I can't even look up to the sky since I can't join it." Leo said walking still. "Ya know guys, I really am a downer sometimes. He said with a smile looking back a Tomoya. "Even more so than you Tomoya." Leo said pointing to Tomoya. A laugh came from Leo as he looked at Aisling. "I think I should find a way to lighten up..." He said, his eyes meeting Aisling's.

A bird flew above them, circling around the group of three. Leo looks up at the bird and smiles. "I truly am envious of you mr. bird..."

Aisling looked up at Leo, poking at his side as she still hung onto his arm. "Weren't you listening? I can help you fly until it grows back silly!" She almost giggled. But her ears twitched, catching the sound of voices approaching as they walked towards the grotto. She swallowed hard as the group came into view, it looked like they were simply going to pass them by for a moment, but then they stopped.

The pixies had spotted her and knew instantly what she was. "Ew, what are you doing here?" One asked in Gaelic, their natural language, in her direction.

Aisling had let go of the boys' arms and stopped walking when she was called out. Every fiber of her being told her to run away from this confrontation but instead she was frozen in place. "What?" She was barely able to ask.

One of the boys in the group stepped up to her, he glared down at her. "You smell like a human. Why don't you go back to them. You want to be one, don't you?" he poked her shoulder.

"What? N-no I don't!" She tried to protest but the other Fae just laughed at her.

"I bet she hasn't even grown into her powers." "Can she even fly?" "I bet she's going to get old and wrinkled!" The faeries were taunting her, making her back up and putting more and more space between her and her friends. One pixie grabbed at her arm cover as Aisling tried to get away, but as they fought, the other Fae succeeded in yanking the pseudo sleeve off and exposed all of her markings on that arm.

"Stop it! I do belong here! I swear!" Aisling cried out. "I don't want to be human!"

They stopped and stared at her. "What a freak." As they walked away and bumped into her with each pass, they laughed and flung more slurs at her in Gaelic.

"Better a freak than an bunch of ass holes like you!" She spat at them. Rubbing her arm nervously, the vine and branch like marks still exposed, she looked up at her friends.

Tomoya looked up at the people walking by as they stopped. They called out to Aisling in a language that he didn't understand. But from Aisling's actions, he could tell that they weren't saying anything nice. But then they started pulling at her sleeves, eventually succeeding in their endeavor. Aisling too, spoke in their language. Almost crying, but angry at the same time. Tomoya looked at her arms and then up to her face. He saw the look in her eyes. The look of helplessness. A look that Tomoya didn't want to see in the eyes of his friends. Tomoya yelled at the group, "OI! Just because you ugly bitches are jealous, doesn't give you the right to treat her like shit! And as for the guys, what are you doing?! Compensating for something?!"

Tomoya looked at them with a devilish grin as they turned around. One of the boys came back and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. The boy pulled his fist back but stopped as one of the others called out from behind. "WAIT! DUDE, IT'S HIM! DON'T DO IT!" his friend called out. The boy holding Tomoya looked at him. Seeing the devilish grin on his face as he was un-phased by the boy who was going to punch him. The boy let his clenched fist fall as he realized just who Tomoya was. Good, I was betting on the fact that at least one of them was in the cafeteria at the time...

Leo unlinks his arm with Aisling and closed his eyes. Listening to her kind words about helping him fly. Leo heard a language he only had heard a few times before. "Gaelic..?" Leo said under his breath. Turning to see a few fae walking towards Aisling. He looked towards Tomoya for a moment his eyes fixed on them as well. I remember a little... My mother made me listen to the fae for weeks... What are they saying...? She wants.. to be human..?

The fae started grabbing at Aisling's arms and pulled off one of her sleeves. Leo looked at her, her bright eyes looking like they may cast a tear at any moment. I may not be able to fly.... But I still have my strength! Leo stepped forward after the fae that began walking away from Aisling. Before Leo could do anything, Tomoya had already been grabbed by one of them. They yelled about something in the cafeteria. Leo knew instantly what they were talking about,Of course... He went after Kai, that's what I felt..

Aisling took a deep breath as she tried to calm her shaking hands. She didn't need to do something by mistake. She jumped when she heard the boys start yelling at the Fae that were leaving. Oh no! Don't start another fight! She thought as she wiped at her eyes, not wanting the tears gathered there to fall. The small woman jumped and gasped as Tomoya was grabbed by one and confronted it, her own heart had jumped to her throat. But nothing happened. The Fae dropped his fist. No punches, they simply parted and he left after another reminded him of another incident. The Cafeteria.

Slowly she bent over and grabbed the cover for her arm. Sliding it back into place she hesitated before walking back over to the boys. She took a deep breath before painting a smile on her face. "So... uh, where are we going to find that pizza?" she asked not wanting to talk about the Fae that had harassed her or what they had said. She just hoped that no one understood Gaelic.

Tomoya just stood there as the fae creatures left. Well, I guess beating up that phoenix kid was worth the trouble after all. I'll use this as long as I can if it means my friends are safe. and happy. He looked back as Aisling was picking up her sleeve. He looked at her arms again and looked away before she could notice. "Are you okay Aisling? They didn't hurt you, did they?" he asked with a concerned tone. I don't see why she hides her arms. She's just hiding a part of herself... And she shouldn't have to do that. He looked at Leo as Aisling asked about pizza. "Yeah Leo, where are we headed. Aisling and I are hungry and she needs to try ice cream too. Haiaku, haiaku" he said. Telling him to hurry in his native tongue as well.

Leo looked at Aisling on the ground and clenched his fist," I'm not letting them get away.." He said under his breath. He took off after the group who were running into the nearby woods. "One of them is coming!?" A fae had yelled. Leo ignored any calls he heard, he didn't want to hear Aisling's voice in pain. Or Tomoya angry with him. I can't let them get away with that! Running into the woods after the fae Leo caught up with one and forced his face into the ground. The fae all stopped at the sound of someone hitting the ground. "It is just one! We can easily..." A fae started to say, but couldn't finish his sentence. Leo's fist came in contact with his mouth. "Leave.. her alone.." Leo had said in Gaelic. The fae's eyes all widened. Once more Leo yelled "Leave her alone!" again in Galeic. The fae realized that he had understood their language and had finally placed a finger on who he was. "A one winged boy.. That lived amongst the faes of the northern great forests... Son of the Forest witch that sheltered them.. The Prince of Magic Forest Rebirth." A fae had said. Leo's eyes came up to meet him,"Hai, I am the the son of Madam Bell, and King Clarion, the fiery bird from the heavens. Thank you for realizing who I am." Leo said taking a bow. The other fae started to run again, but tree roots emerged from the ground to stop them. "Promise me that you won't talk to her ever again, or even come near her unless she asks!" The fae looked into his eyes and quivered. "Yeah my lord!"

Leo had taken off in a blur past them. Aisling watched in shock as he ran the other Fae down. "Leo!" She yelled after him. Her eyes showed the real panic she was trying to hide. Fear for her secret being revealed, fear for him getting hurt. She looked up at Tomoya and then grabbed his hand, pulling him towards the direction they had all ran. "Come on we can't let him fight alone!" Aisling hated fighting. It terrified her. But she would never abandon the only friends she had, even if it meant she'd have to fight.

She hurried after Leo. "Leo!" She yelled again looking for him. Spotting him in the distance she could hear the odd sounds of Gaelic being spoken but couldn't understand what was being said. She slowed her pace and then stopped when she saw the body language of the pixies. They were scared of him, intimidated like he posed an almost grater threat than Tomoya. "Leo?" she asked. "What's going on?" She didn't want to get too close, still scared of what the other's would do to her. Aisling looked behind her to see where Tomoya was, she wanted to cling to him, hide from the other Fae behind him.

Tomoya was pulled forward by the small fae girl and towards the forest where Leo had run off. She let go off his hand and ran ahead. After a minute, he had finally caught up. He placed his hands into his jacket pocket and walked up beside Aisling. She grabbed his arm and hid behind him a little. He looked down at her and continued to walk forward next to Leo. Aisling still clung to his side.

He closed his eyes for a moment. "Oi, you guys really don't know your place very well, do you? Anybody who picks on our friends is beneath us. I thought it was dumb enough that you tried to come after me, but it looks like you guys are afraid of him too." He opened his eyes, looking at them with his now crimson glare. The group of fae stumbled backwards onto the ground. The look in his eye. It was the same one he had before he started walking towards Kai earlier. His aura hadn't appeared yet, but he could will it at any time. With the two boys standing there in front of the fae, they cowered in fear. Pushing themselves against the roots that had blocked their path.

"Tomoya, don't worry about them. I think they have learned their lesson." Leo said lowering the roots and walking away towards the forest entry line. "I think we can go get pizza and ice cream in peace now." He said now in front of Aisling "Are you okay? I think I may have done a bit much since the are only calling out slurs, but I can't stand it when it happens to my friends. Think you can forgive me for running off?" Leo said touching Aisling shoulder. Leo started walking again, I can't believe I slipped like that.. One more of those and I will have the headmaster after my head... "Hoy, Tomoya, Aisling. Let's go."

Aisling looked up at Leo as he came over and touched her shoulder. She was about to nod when what he said finally clicked. "Wait! You understood them?!" She asked him horrified. "You know none of it was true right!" She looked scared like if he knew the truth about her that he would abandon her and their friendship would be terminated. It was a logical fear. It had happened numerous times before. It was why others of her kind treated her so poorly and didn't associate with her. "I'm really not like that..." Her voice was fragile, faltering.

She hung her head a bit as they walked towards the grotto. A small startled sound escaped her as she saw the marks on her arms expanding up past the edge of the covering she was wearing. She tugged them up further but it was no use the vines and leaves could still be seen.

Tomoya looked confused. Was I the only one who couldn't understand them? God dammit.... But the three of them continued back out of the forest and towards the grotto. Tomoya's stomach growling a bit as they got closer. "Are we there yet? I haven't eaten since the assembly" he complained. "And pizza and ice cream sounds delicious. HAI-A-KU!" His stomach growled some more.

After another minute or so they finally arrived at the pizza place. Three of them stood in line waiting. "What kind are you guys getting? I'm getting pepperoni and bacon" he questioned the two.

"I heard them yes.. I understood them too. I am sorry, I should have told you, but I got so angry." Leo said. Once the three reached the pizza place Tomoya questioned them on their selection. "I think I will have the peppers and onions! Extra sauce." He exclaimed. Leo joined the line behind Tomoya. "Aisling, I hope you will forgive me..."

"No forgiveness is needed, I just.... Don't want to be hated." the last part was mumbled a bit as she looked up at the menu. She chewed on her lower lip as she picked at her sleeve. "Pineapple." She said quietly.

The line moved forward and the trio was ready to place their orders. She Stood on her toes and looked at the man behind the counter from behind her red hair. "Just one slice of pineapple pizza please." She requested. It was only a moment before it was handed to her and she waited for the boys to get theirs and join her.

Next in line was Tomoya. "Three slices of pepperoni and bacon please" he waited a moment and paid before the man handed him his pizza. He had already started to eat one of his slices as Leo started to order. "Hurry up Leo, I want to sit down!" He mumbled with his mouth full of pizza. He looked over at Aisling with her one slice. "You don't really eat much, do you?" he asked while taking another bite. "I'm almost like a bottomless pit though." He was already at the crust of his first piece.

"Tomoya! settle down man.. I think I will have.. A pie of pepperoni, bacon and pineapple!" Leo said looking back to his friends. "I want this pizza pie to be a reminder that the three of us came together today. I'll call it the TomoLeoling Pizza! I know it is a bit cheesy, but friendships work that way!" Leo said turning back around and picking up his pie. "Arigatou, how much?"

"Don't worry about it, that platinum card you carry is more than enough proof." The pizza shop owner said at the sight of Leo's wallet.

Leo's eyes went wide and closed his wallet quickly," Thank you! Let's not mention this then alright sir?" He said rushing his friends along to a nearby table.

Aisling managed a smile as she heard the odd concoction that Leo had come up with. Looking back over to Tomoya she nudged him with an elbow. "There's an empty table over there." She motioned to a table across the way that was free and had enough room to seat all of them. Walking over and taking a seat the small Fae waited until the boys were there as well.

She took a small bite before she spoke. "So how does this room mate thing work Leo?" She asked. "I... I don't really know anyone but you two. Are they just going to shove me in a room with people I don't know?" Her ears drooped a bit. "I really don't want to get stuck with any of the people we have... fought... recently..." She shoved the pizza in her mouth.
