Sometime just after the dawning of Winter, something had seemed to snap in Estellien's mind, for she grew yet more silent, pensive, forlorn, tearful. Perhaps the changing of the seasons, the shortening days, the darkening nights had penetrated her emotional walls and torn them down. Perhaps it was the road on which they travelled, for the girl had become rigid the moment she had turned onto the path, and had later collapsed into a trembling mass of sobs on the ground some halfway to the next...

[Joxel]

Draco sat under a tree, eyes closed. He saw nothing but darkness. The harder he squeezed, the darker it got. He sat in silence letting the void surround him. Rilou sat adjacent from him in the same silence. Even in the complete darkness, Draco could see Rilou. He saw his aura glowing a bright blue in front of him. As they meditated together, a calm breeze danced among the leaves of the tree above bringing peace to the two. Ninetales lay asleep, next to Draco. He could see her aura as well, blazing red and times, but glowing with a soft pink hue. He felt her warmth next to him. When Draco finally opened his eyes, the sun was setting, with the sky blazing an orangish red.
