"Yeah. I figured that."He said as he dropped his hands to his own sides softly.

Niko flinched and looked away, closing his blue eyes and preparing himself for something; anything. A blow, a slap, maybe abusive words.

Alec sighed as he gently pushed Niko off him, so he could go outside.

 

[Jay Windse]

Niko fell to the opposite side of the couch. He curled up and let every barrier that had fallen with Alec rise again in that single motion.


He was starting to think he was wrong about him. That he was like everyone else.


But if it felt so right to be with him...then why would he be like that?

Alec sighed as he watched him. He had gently pushed him off but Alec supposes he didn't like it so he exaggerated it. Sighing once again, he opened the door and went outside to think.

Niko heard him leave and just sat in complete silence.

Alec ran a few hundred yards from his house to the mountain spring to think.

Niko ran a hand through his hair, staring at the ground.

Alec sat down at the edge of the spring with a heavy sigh as he thought.

Niko wondered what was so wrong with him that everyone hated him. It had to be something big, hadn't it?

Alec sighed softly as he looked at the water. He tried to be affectionate towards Niko but every time, he thought he was going to hurt him. Which made it nearly impossible to be affectionate towards him.

 

[Jay Windse]

Niko then sighed. It was probably how he flinched away, wasn't it? It wasn't his fault; he had just lived with it for so many years and couldn't get used to the idea that not everyone was bad.

Alec ran a hand through his hair with a frustrated growl. Why did he do this? He should just stop and not do anything.

 

[Jay Windse]

Niko decided that that was simply it; that it was his fault, and his alone. It was how he acted.

Alec continued to just stare at the water as he thought.

 

[Jay Windse]

Niko got up. Maybe he should just leave. Alec wouldn't miss him anyway. He was always better alone.


He walked to the door at that thought, and then looked around. "I can't just...disappear." he whispered.


But he couldn't leave a note-he'd never learned to even write.

Alec sighed and got up, deciding to head back but not quite rushing back.

Niko flinched slightly as he stepped forward, heading outside and into the forest, staying a few hundred yards from Alec's home-just enough to hear what he would say and do, but to be kept hidden from sight.

When Alec got back to his house and saw that Niko was gone, he growled softly and punched the doorframe before walking inside to the kitchen, cursing the whole time.

 

[Jay Windse]

Niko looked at him from a distance, surprised he acted so strongly.

Alec sighed and shook his head. Of course he left. He was starting to love him and now he was gone. Just like any other guy who he had began to love.

 

[Jay Windse]

Niko sighed, feeling immense guilt flood over him. Maybe he shouldn't have left.


But if he stayed..

Alec left the house once again to go to town. He needed to take the edge off. With some alcohol and human blood."I'll never love again."He said as he walked briskly towards town. He hadn't been this upset to be craving human blood since ge was turned. And killed two humans in the process.

Niko heard his comment, and ran after him, but he knew he wouldn't get far. He stopped about one hundred feet from Alec's position, watching him leave.


"Love?"

Alec could barely hear his voice but continued to walk towards the town. He needed a drink bad, of both alcohol, and blood.
