1x1 Vampire and Slave Rp

"Now that is what I like to see," Claire said with a smile, giving tony a hearty clap on the back. She then looked up to Lorel, giving her a small respectful nod. "I'll care for the boy when you need me to. Are you-"

"I need him this evening," Lorel cut her off, eying tony. "Father wishes to use his insight into a little... Problem he's been having."

Tony looked up immediately, "W-What problem?!?" He asked, "I-Its not my g-group is it? T-They normally listen to me....." He muttered, hands shaking. He looked between the two with terrified eyes, something he seemingly wasn't aware of, said golden eyes gleaming.

"No, no they- they've behaved exactly as my father wanted them to," Lorel said quickly, speaking quietly. Her mind drifted back to the conversation she'd held with her father last night, to the lies he'd told and those she wished she could believe. Still, there was nothing she could do now, save protect the human boy from the truth. "He's been having an issue with the city humans growing restless, and feels you would know best how to calm them."

Tony let out a sigh of relief, rubbing his hands over his face, "City people?" He finally asked, looking up at her, "I-I don't know how to calm people.....I only rile them up..." He mumbled, shoulders slumped

Shrugging, Lorel lowered her voice. " I believe he may be trying to gain something else from the meeting but I don't know what. Answer his questions, smile when he wants you to, and you'll be fine. You are, afterall, he's daughters blood slave."

"That puts you nice and high up on the human hierarchy," Claire added, although she then re brandished her spoon at him. "But miss nightingale's play toy or not, you're not stealing from my kitchen again. Now both of you, get on your way and stop clogging up my kitchen."

As instructed, Lorel left Claire to her own devices, awaiting tony to follow. "Come on, they'll be waiting for us."

Tony nodded, and grinned at Claire, "Thanks for the delicious food. I'll aim for that next time:" He chuckled, winking at her before hurrying after Lorel. He was nervous, but covering it up with his rebellious mask, ready for the meeting and to follow Lorels instructions, calming himself as they walked

"You're welcome," Claire called after him, returning to preparing breakfast for the awakening humans.

Lorel walked briskly but slow enough to allow tony to keep up, smiling to herself at his donning of his rebellious facade. After last night, she was beginning to understand that there was more complexity to humans than shed been taught, and that they were not the dumb animals vampires portrayed them as, even if they did screw with coffins in a castle full of vampires.

They continued upstairs to her fathers council room, a well furnished location with a gorgeous and ornate black stone table located in the centre. Her fathers council were seated around it, but two chairs remained vacant at the end. Lorel seated herself in one, then nodded for tony to take the other.

They continued upstairs to her fathers council room, a well furnished location with a gorgeous and ornate black stone table located in the centre. Her fathers council were seated around it, but two chairs remained vacant at the end. Lorel seated herself in one, then nodded for tony to take the other.

Tony grinned at Claire as they left, and followed Lorel along the corridor swiftly, his eyes gleaming with his rebellious side. Sure, Tony was a complex creature, with many sides that he hid behind, but really he was more terrified of what was about to happen.

He gulped as they walked into the council room, eyes quickly scanning the people in it and taking the seat that Lorel indicated, not looking at a single one of the members

"Now that we're all here," Lorel's father said, his dry tone reprimanding them for their tardiness. "I'd like to address the issue of the human rebellion in the city. Due to conspiracy theories spread by human extremist and revolutionaries, more and more humans are speaking out against us, to the point where we can't manage them. Tony, you were one of these rebel sorts. How do you think we could best deter them from rebelling?"

Tony blinked at him, "Not scaring them would be a start. No offence by you guys can get....overwhelming sometimes. Let them speak, have their say. They're likely to calm down after a while....unless the certain group is like mine was?" He asked, watching Lorel's father with his rebellious eyes. In truth he didn't really know what would calm them, but he basically put common sense and his human knowledge into one. It was a fact that people got bored with arguing

"Letting them have their say only leads to more mutiny. Humans with hopes and beliefs are rarely compliant," Lorel's father said, his voice frosty, and he was observing Tony far too closely. "We need a way to... Dampen their hope." Beside Tony, Lorel gave Tony a small nudge and whispered, "just tell him what he wants to hear. He has a certain taste for using... Force to deal with humans."

Tony gulped, but shook his head, actually letting out a growl as he stood, hands on the table, "if you would only talk to them and compromise then they'd stop" he snarled, his angry rebellious side taking over fully

Leaning back in his chair, Lorel's father considered for a long moment. "Very well," he said slowly, piecing together his solution. "We shall go compromise with these humans. And you shall accompany us as our middle man. Andrew," Lorel's father said to a human servant behind him. "Go prepare our transport. I want my inner circle transported to the city before sunrise, this human boy too. And the night guard division."

Tony blinked, having expected to be punished for speaking like that to him. He nodded shakily, grinning to Lorel in victory, golden eyes gleaming

Unlike Tony, Lorel was unsmiling, regarding her father with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. "You are all dismissed for now," he said, and she stood quickly, almost rude. Giving him a hurried bow, she stepped away from the chair and motioned for Tony to follow as she left, walking very briskly away from the council room.

Tony bowed head to Lorels father, and scampered after Lorel, wondering what had her so bothered, "What's wrong?" He asked curiously, the smile disappearing from his face

"That wasn't right," she said, frowning at the floor as she walked "my father doesn't back down from a decision he's already made, and he certainly doesn't compromise." Coming to a halt, she turned to Tony, regarding him seriously. "Be careful when we leave. My father has some kind of angle, and you're a part of it now, whatever it is. Don't do anything stupid, or you'll end up getting yourself killed."

Tony blinked at her and shrugged, "I've survived as a rebel for a long time Lorel. I know how to stay alive" he muttered, golden eyes watching her carefully, rubbing his neck where she had previously punctured it with her fangs

"You're not a nameless human rebel anymore Tony," Lorel said, her voice grave. "You're a blood slave, and now my fathers liaison with the human population. This is far more dangerous than robbing or killing us was ever going to be." Sighing, she tried to control her sense of dread, knowin she sounded paranoid. "Just... I feel oddly responsible for you. You know what they say about the lives you save. I don't want to see you hurt."

Tony blinked at her and looked down, looking more depressed than ever before. His golden eyes lost their happy look, replaced with dread and fear.

Looking him over, Lorel couldn't help but feel like his expression of anxiety was well deserved and quite frankly the only sensible response to the given situation, but at the same time felt kind of guilty. If he was going to have to deal with her father come what may, he might as well enjoy his time until then. "No need to look like such a sour puss," she said with a wry smile, more gently this time, the panic eased from her tone. "You've got me, remember? We've just got to be cautious, and we can play this out. Who knows, maybe it will turn out to be to your advantage, and you can make a difference to your kind."

She looked around the corridor, and then exhaled. "Come on, we ought to go pack, I believe we'll be staying in the city for some time. It might also be sensible to find you some form of weapon... I'm not sure who'll you'll need more protection from, my father, or the city humans. Last time I encountered them, they weren't all that fond of Blood Slaves. Goes against their 'moral code' and such," she said with an eye roll, before she began to proceed down the corridor.

Tony sighed and looked at her, "I uh..... Don't like fighting.... It's kinda ironic I suppose....seeing as I was the rebel leader. But if you insist on a weapon...." He replied, watching her with his golden eyes. There we're remains of their former emerald colour, small, almost unnoticeable flecks of emerald glinted in the lift with the gold

Lorel couldn't help laughing at that. "Yeah, just a tadge ironic. It'll be a good idea to keep something on your person regardless though, if only to scare people off." She led them to the armoury, where all manner of weaponry was displayed behind locked display cases. "Take your pick," she said, gesturing with a sweep of her hand to the assortment of weapons. "Remember it's just for self-defence. Most vampires aren't like that guard you nabbed; you start a fight with them, their centuries of experience will whip your ass. There's a reason we're in power."

Tony nodded, and picked up a sheathed katana after a moment, pulling the sheath on so the blade rested safely over his back with the handle by his shoulder, "humans likely won't attack if they see a weapon. And if they do then it's self defence to poke em with it" he told her in explaination

"Nice choice," Lorel said, eyeing the Katana. "I've never been trained with one, but would like to learn some day." She then laughed at the poking comment, rolling her eyes. "Try not to poke anyone who's going to poke you back too much and you'll do just fine." As she spoke, the sound of carriages pulling up outside could be overheard, horses neighing in the distance. "That sounds like our ride. Hopefully the servants will have remembered to pack something for you too." She went to the armoury door, waiting and looking back at him. "Come on rebel boy, we've got some rebels to appease."
