[1x1] The Prince's Slave (a prince x female slave and random dice roleplay)

Rayleigh visibly flinched at the term 'slave.' With an awkward smile he said "Well, let's start with the slave thing. I would prefer you don't refer to yourself as that. Servant, aid or maid would be preferable," he told her honestly. He never really liked the 'slave' concept but knew the need for them. It was just a simple way of life. He then smiled as they continued riding.

"As for duties, it's basically attending to my needs. We have a number of chefs within the castle so you won't be required to cook unless you want to. You will be with me basically around the clock. My parents orders unfortunately. If it were up to me I'd just have it so you would only need to do your set duties for the day before spending the rest of the day as you please unless I have need for you again. Some of your duties I suppose will include cleaning my armour, laundry, I prefer maintaining my own weapons so you don't need to worry about that, and running errands. You will be escorting me if I ever leave the castle and you will be by my side at all times when I go on missions. When we get back, I'd prefer you to learn as much as you can about the way things are run at the castle. It'll make life a lot easier," he told her.

"Is there any duties that you'd rather not perform?" he asked her.

When the prince flinched and expressed his dislike for the word 'slave,' Guin tilted her head in slight surprise. "But isn't that what I am?" she asked, slightly confused. "There are similarities between maids, aids, servants and a slave, but they aren't all the same things." She sighed sadly. "The difference is, maids, servants, and aids are paid, they can quit if they want, and they can leave the castle if they want. But slaves are none of those things." She went quiet for a moment. Slaves did what they told whether they wanted to or not. Maid were considered workers, but slaves were only a piece of property. "But I suppose if you want me to call myself our aid, I will," she said with a nod. He was her master after all. She was better off doing what he told her to do.

Listening to his list of duties for her, Guin shook her head. "No, I think I can handle everything you've mentioned. But I have to be by your side at all times? I don't imagine you will always require my aid, especially on missions. Won't I get in the way?" Privately, Quin was a bit worried about being required to go on missions with the prince. She had a very fragile ability that nobody knew about, and she hadn't exactly gotten it under control yet. She was worried that if she was with the prince a lot, she would lose control of it one of those times--like she did occasionally--and he would be around to discover her ability.

Rayleigh kept a stern and solemn look on his face when Guin explained the differences between all the roles. Being of nobility, he too knew the structure of what kept the kingdom he would eventually inherit up and how they worked. He just didn't see people as property. Everyone had their own lives, own thoughts and own stories. It just didn't sit well with him. That's why during raids, adventures and battles, he refused to keep prisoners as slaves. It was a detestable part of warfare. He was pleased when she agreed in being referred to as his aide.

He gave a quick nod to her when she said that she'd be able to handle all of the duties he told her. But listened intently as to when she spoke about always being by his side and missions. She sounded, somewhat nervous.

"Well, you don't literally have to be by my side every waking moment. Just, you will be with me a lot. As my aide, its kind of your duty," he told her matter-of-factly.

"As for the missions, you don't need to worry, you won't be doing any fighting. Just setting up camp, doing cooking, and other stuff," he told her plain and simple.

"All right, I understand," Guin replied, relieved when Prince Rayleigh said she wouldn't have to be at his side every second. That would most certainly make things easier for her. She didn't want to make up excuses to sneak away from him, after all. "Cooking and camp preparation are fine by me, so I will focus on those tasks when we are out."

She glanced up as they rode along for a moment, before returning her gaze to the path ahead of them. "Is there anything I can do for you right now as your aid? If you're hungry, it looks like there is wild fruit growing in the trees around this area," she pointed out. "Or if you have a small injury from the trip, I could bind it for you." Of course, these were little things that could have been taken care of when they returned to the castle, but the young slave still figured she would ask.

Rayleigh shook his head.

"No, there is nothing that I require from you at the moment," he told her lightly. Instead, get some rest," he said to her.

"It has been a rather draining evening for you I'm assuming," he guessed. He then laughed lightly. "I know it has been for me."

If he were being honest with himself then he'd prefer it if he were the one resting, using magic like how he did only a few moments before was some what draining physically. However, he would continue on. He needed to get the both of them back home before dawn otherwise there would be hell to pay from his father and mother.

"Now that you mention it, I am exhausted," Guin replied, reaching up to rub one of her eyes. She had worked all day and gotten very little rest, so she was very tired. She tried to hold back a yawn before speaking again.

"I'll rest, but I know you must be tired too. If you ever want me to take over leading the horse while you rest your eyes for a little while, just let me know," she offered before closing her eyes. She didn't mean to, but as she grew more drowsy, Guin allowed her head to rest against his back.

Shane smirked. He didn't even get a chance to reply before she had slowly started to doze off. It was fine though, he was indeed sleepy. But, he had been on many missions that required him to be awake for many hours on end and they were usually far more taxing than riding a horse. It was nice. Despite it being quiet because it was just him, it was pleasant. The cool evening wind was relaxing. They had been riding for a little while now and he looked back to find a completely sleeping Guin. The wind had blew her hair back up a little and the moonlight shone on her face. Her sleeping face made him blush a little. He concluded, then and there that she was actually pretty cute.

With the hypnotic sound of the horses hooves trotting across the ground accompanied by the warmth from Prince Rayleigh's back, Guin did indeed fall asleep quickly. She slept the entire ride back to the kingdom. The silver haired woman hadn't realized how tired she was. Though her slumber was deep and dreamless, Guin still managed to wake up when Rayleigh stopped his horse after they arrived at the castle. She glanced up after a moment, realizing they had arrived.

"That was a much shorter trip than I had expected," Guin admitted, looking around. "Or perhaps I just slept through most of it." She paused to let a yawn escape her lips before speaking again. "Should we go speak with your father about what happened?" she asked the prince, unsure how they should treat his matter.

They were stationed in front of the castles main gates. He smiled a little when she had asked whether or not if the trip was short or she had just slept through it. It was indeed the latter. They were travelling for a solid hour or so before they had arrived. However, now was most likely the hardest part.

"No," he told Guin, "Going straight to my father would be an incredibly bad idea. At the moment, he thinks I went out on a scouting mission to determine how close our potential enemy could be. If he were to find out I went on a solo mission to go save you at a well known fort, he would not be too happy." he told her.

"We have to make sure that we enter the castle completely undetected and make it so that it appears as if you had been there the whole time. OK?" he said making sure she understood the situation they were in.

Sliding off the horse with the prince's help, Guin was surprised to hear his words. "You mean he never knew about this mission? I suppose, now that I think about it, the king wouldn't send the prince all alone on such a dangerous mission. So why did you do it then? Why risk your life over me?" If prince Rayleigh would have been killed saving her, the kingdom would have been frantic. One slave was hardly worth the life of the prince, at least in her opinion.

"Very well, but will you escort me back to my room then? Slaves have a curfew and if I'm caught alone at this hour I could be punished by a guard," she replied to him, nervous when she thought about it.

"Well, I couldn't just have my new aide be captured like that ya know. What kind of master and man would I be if I just let that happen?" he told her honestly as they started making their way towards the castles secret entrance ways.

"And of course I'll escort you. I'm pretty sure you don't exactly know the way around yet do you?" he asked her.

They continued walking along the side of the castle. It was pitch black but the castle was basically a light due to the amount of guards roaming the perimeters with their torches.

"This feels so weird," he told her "Usually I'm just sneaking out, but to be sneaking in, it kind of feels strange to me ya know?"

"You're definitely not a monster if you think like that. You are a very honorable prince and I am grateful that I now serve you," Guin admitted with a smile. She began to follow him toward the secret entrance. Although she had seen many parts of the castle from working, she hadn't seen this spot.

"I know my way around a bit, so I probably could get back to my room. It's just that most slaves have a curfew and if I'm seen alone in the halls--without a master--at this hour I could get in big trouble." She was relieved that it was pitch black in the castle as they entered, thankful the darkness hid them from any eyes.

She lowered her voice when they were inside and whispered, "I've never sneaked out once," she admitted. Guin had thought about it though. "But I could see how it would be strange. This is strange for me too."

They walked along for a little while. Things seemed to be fine at first. Nobody spotted them, but Guin had another problem. Her "condition" began to act up. She stopped walked and touched her forehead, her eyes starting to glow. She gasped, realizing what was happening and covered her eyes before she took off running.

"I can make it to my room from here!" she called out to the prince, hoping he hadn't seen her eyes. "Thanks again for your help!"

(Feel free to have him follow her. I think after this part we can do the dice roll again. ^_^ )

"H-Hey wait!" Rayleigh shouted out to her.

'Damn, what was she thinking?' he thought to himself as he watched her run off into the distance. For someone that had basically just woken up, she could certainly run. Quite quickly might I add. He sighed.

Well, there no point in him getting so worked up over it now anyway.

'I better start heading off to my own quarters,' he thought.

He continued sneaking around guards and going through secret passages. It wasn't long until he had finally made it to the main palace. From the outside it was a marvel, from the inside, it was something that could only be dreamt of. Even during the night when seeing all of it's finer details were obscured due to the darkness, one could still see the the magnificence of the place. He smiled. He made it with no issues. Well, excluding the fact that he lost his servant halfway through. He shrugged it off, he trusted her judgement and decided to let it be. He made his way towards his sleeping quarters and was nearly there until he heard a mature feminine voice.

"And where have you been this evening young man?" the voice asked in an even tone that promised terrible consequences if it were lied to.

'Mother...' was the only thought that passed through his head before he dared to turn around.

Guinevere rushed off as if fear or some other compelling emotion had overcome her. But in reality that wasn't what had. Her power was acting up. It was something deep inside that had changed her life several times. She didn't want it to happen again. She was just getting used to this kingdom, serving the nobles of the castle, and now had become the slave of the prince. She had a lot of good things going for her. She didn't want to lose everything again.

As fast as she could she rushed into her room, slamming the door shut behind her. Guin quickly went to where a mirror hung on the wall and peered at her reflection, biting her lip when she saw that her eyes were still glowing. She squeezed them shut and turned away from the mirror, holding her head.

Stop glowing. Stop glowing. This can't happen now.

She opened her eyes and looked to the mirror again, letting out a sigh of relief when she saw that her eyes had stopped glowing. Maybe she wasn't going to have problems after all.

Knock. Knock.

Guin flinched hearing the sound of someone knocking at her door. Maybe her problems weren't over after all.

She reluctantly went to the door and opened it, frowning when she came face to face with a castle guard.

"I saw you running through the castle after hours. All slaves are supposed to be in their rooms this late at night. Come with me," he said sternly, grabbing her arm.

"No, wait! I'm sorry! I just had some work I was finishing up!" she lied. The guard said nothing to her though. He would take her to the prince, her master, to find out what she had been up to.

"Mother please," Rayleigh said protesting as his mother dragged him through the dimly lit corridors of the palace like a young child. However, his mother would have none of it.

"If you're going to behave like a child Ray, then I am going to treat you like one. Now march," she said authoritatively. He did so reluctantly. They were making quite a pace and walked in silence for a while.

"Where are we even going?" he asked finally. His mother, not even glancing at him kept walking as she told him.

"To see the lovely slave you had to recklessly save," she told him. Rayleigh stopped.

"Huh?" he asked rather confused. His mother stopped also and looked back at him with an annoyed look.

"I saw the both of you running into the castle with my orb. Then I saw your slave run off. There's something about her that she's not telling us. I've sent for a guard to fetch her and bring her into the throne room. Your father is waiting for us there. Now come," she ordered walking off again. Rayleigh followed suit.

The guard dragged Guin along, intending to take her to Rayleigh's room and ask him what was going on. This wasn't the guard who had been sent by the queen, but the guard who had been quickly walked up to the guard dragging Guin, whispering in his ear and telling him to take her to the throne room. He nodded and changed his course for the throne room. Guin couldn't catch the whispered conversation, but she had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.

It wasn't long before they arrived to the big throne room. It was dimly lit and seemed almost empty, save for the king who sat in the throne dead ahead of them. The silver haired slave girl bit her lip, averting her gaze from the king who sat so far away. She didn't look forward to hearing what he had to say. Did he know that Rayleigh and herself had been gone? Did he know that Rayleigh had come to her rescue? He was the king. He had eyes and ears all over the place, so she had a feeling that he knew.

((Are you going to play the king? Or would you like me to play him?))

(( Cool! I'll play the king then! Sorry it took me so long to reply. I've been busy. Next time you reply I'll write one for the king. :) ))

((Actually, I change my mind. I'm going to go ahead and write my first reply with the king now. And I'll post on your profile to let you know I replied. :) ))

King Tempestpass XVI Storm King of the Dwendor Kingdom

Sitting upon his throne lined with red velvet, his highness King Tempestpass drummed his fingers along his brass scepter, waiting for Prince Rayleigh and his slave girl to be brought before him in the royal throne room. It was late and he was tired, not to mention frustrated that he was called out of bed in the middle of the night to hear about something his son had done. He felt as if the prince was normally a well behaved young man--unless he was just sneaky and the king never caught him--so he was surprised to hear that he had left the castle without telling anyone.

Guinevere, the prince's new slave which had been given to him for his birthday, was the first one brought before the king. He gazed at her with an uncomprehending expression and could tell the girl was very nervous. She was such a puny and fearful thing. The King was surprised that out of all the slaves in the castle, his wife had chosen this one to be their son's gift. Sure she was pretty and had unique colored silver hair, but surely there were more beautiful and reliable slaves in their castle.

"Fear not, I will give you no lecture until the Prince is brought before us," the king said to her nervous girl. "No need to be so jumpy either. It is not you who would be punished in this situation. If anyone is to be punished, it will be my son. But I will decide that once he arrives and I hear his side of the story about what happened tonight," he told Guin. He glanced to the door waiting for Prince Rayleigh to be brought before them.
