Weird at last.
To put it simply; there are a few plots I want to do.
Number 1
When two friends band together to move one of them into his/her new apartment, they find an old book the previous tenant must've left behind. It's a spellbook, and pretty soon they find themselves targeted by people who really want that book. In order to stay ahead, they'll have to start using the book, even though neither of them really feels like that is a good/safe idea. They'll also have to really start looking for answers, because the longer they remain in the dark, the harder it becomes to effectively survive.
Number 2
Muse A recently lost a friend to suicide. A is well-versed enough in the demonic to know that their friend has gone to hell for this. However, this friend was good person and an even better friend, so A wants to change their friend's fate.By getting them out of hell personally. Now, without the assistance of a demon, a mortal can't just go in and out of hell. So, A makes a deal with a demon, muse B. B happens to be a bit impopular among the legions of hell and wants in on the adventure. Meaning that if B helps A get their friend to heaven, A needs to help B complete a ritual that'll allow B to walk the earth again. The two take off into hell, where they need to keep A's identity a secret, while trying to find the friend. While I'm open to all sorts of plottwists, some things that came to my mind that could be interesting are;- The whole mission is impossible and the B lies to use A- A never plans to hold up their end of the bargain at the end and plans to double-cross B- The friend turns out to have been holding some things back from A and this causes troubleBut yeah, basically it can go anywhere; maybe the characters succeed, maybe they fail miserably and get all stuck in hell; who knows. No holds barred there.
Number 3 - Harry Potter based
For a while I've been playing with the idea of a Harry Potter RP that adds muggle technology to the equation. It'd be set around the events of the seventh book and might even take place in an alternate ending where Voldemort wins.
The idea is that the main characters are people who smuggle muggleborns and other vulnerable targets out of England to safer locations. To do this they obviously use magic wherever possible, but contacts with human trafficking rings is also likely, as well of use of technology. They could be communicating mostly via cellphones, on the assumption that no deatheater would ever have the know-how to trace a phone call or hack a computer.
This would put the characters ahead of the game of course, so it'd be fun if their enemies somehow manage to catch-up, despite their lack of knowledge on all things technical. On top of that, keeping the whole magic thing a secret when you work that closely with plenty of muggles is also going to be one hell of a job.
The characters wouldn't be personally acquainted with the main characters from the books. I prefer keeping the whole thing OC only. Among the deatheaters some familiar names are alright with me, however.
Other stuff I'm also up for:
- Elder Scrolls
- Fallout/ general post apocalyptic stuff
- Medieval fantasy (I'd love to combine this with a bit of mystery, action and suspense at some point)
About me and RP:
- While I'm okay with romance if there's chemistry between the characters, I'm not actively looking for it. Even if it does become part of the story, I prefer to keep it as a side-plot.
- As a result of both that and the fact that I'm perfectly cool with same sex couples; I don't care about the rp's gender dynamics at all. If you do, let me know beforehand.
- I'm completely chill with violence and gore. You won't faze me very easily.
- However, if something does bug me, I'll tell you and I expect the same thing in return. I will not judge you for being uncomfortable with certain subjects.
- I'm extremely fond of character development and I don't like deus ex machina solutions.
- I usually post somewhere around 200 words, but my post length depends mostly on what I get back. The more pro-active and creative with the story you are, the more the same will go for me. I can't pull the plot forward on my own.
- I can be hella slow with replying whenever school gets hectic and forgetful as well. Feel free to poke me from time to time when needed.
