History: he grew up in a small house with his four sisters him being the only boy the youngest. He grew up only wanting to protect those he loved though he had to do more work for being a boy he still was always smiling no matter what.

Personality: Marie is a kindhearted girl who looks for the good in people. She tries to find the bright side of every situation, but can be timid at times. Unfortunately she has a clumsy streak that ends up in accidents that can not only hurt her but can hurt those around her. This 'clumsy streak' is actually caused by a curse that was placed on her when she was younger. She is quite curious and is always up for an adventure.


Appearance: She has a thin frame, long blonde hair, and violet eyes.


History: When she was 10 her curiosity lead her to a strange caravan. A tall woman with white hair was inside and told Marie to make a wish and blow out a strange candle with a black flame. Marie wished for the ability to heal any wounds because she was clumsy and fell alot when playing. Then the woman told her her wish would come try but that Marie would have to pay a price. When Marie explain she had no money, the woman smile and said that she was not talking about money. Afterwards she muttered words that were strange to Marie and cursed her with bad luck but granted Marie wish with a twist. Marie could heal any wound but her own. After this she went on a quest to track down the tall woman and break the curse.

Marie walked down the streets of a small town. She glanced around the villagers and the buildings and smiled. On good thing about being cursed and tracking down the witch who cursed you, was seeing all these new places. She adjusted the bag that was slung over her shoulder and began to explore the town. Each building, each little shop, was like a new little world to her. Some places reminding her of where she had once been, and other reminding her of where she still needed to go.


She batted her violet eyes and ducked into a small park in the center of town. It was a cute little park, surrounded by trees, clean cut grass, tamed bushes and carefully planted flowers. She almost wanted to stay there. In this park, this cute little town. Maybe she could stay a little longer than usual. A small path traced through the center of the park, and she followed it. Suddenly a loud crack came from above her as a tree branch fell. She quickly jumped off to the side before it smashed against the ground where she once stood. Or maybe I will head out a little sooner.
 
Jake had happen to be messing with a few dogs and was chased into the park. There he had climbed a tree and sat until those beast got bored and left him alone. He was going to climb down when..crack! The branch snapped and he fell to the dirty ground with it. He bit his lip and picked himself up from the ground. No one saw him...well that's what he hoped really.


Dusting himself off he sighed. Starting to make his way from the scene hopefully unnoticed. He glanced around no one should have seen him fall so no one could rat him out for messing around.
 
Marie stared, wide-eyed, as she noticed a boy had fallen with the branch. He stood up and had glanced around. She gasped a little, and brushed stands of her golden blonde hair from her face. "Are you Ok?" She asked as she stepped closer to him. This is why she never stayed anywhere to long. This curse not only hurt her but affected random people she happened to walk by, or well under as in this case.
 
Jake looked at her and nodded smiling happily. "Yeah of course I am! I'm used to hurting myself in strange ways." He replied. His face was flushed slightly red from embarrassment of the girl noticing him. His jet black bangs covered his bright green eyes slightly. "I'm Jake, what's your name?"
 
Marie tilted her head and laughed a little at his comment about hurting himself. "I'm Marie." She said. "It' snice to met you, do you hang out here often." She replied hoping he would catch her little joke.
 
Jake chuckled and shook his head. "No I just happen to be running from some dogs..." he rubbed the back of his neck. "I was messing with them then they got mad and chased me." He said softly not wanting to seem like a loser.
 
Marie buried her brows and slight confusion. "You were chased by dogs?" She asked. Suddenly a loud crack errupted and the whole tree began to sway before it came toppling down.
 
Jake was about to speak when the tree fell down. He jumped slightly seeing he almost was hit by a branch. "That's weird..I almost got hit by that branch," he. Mumbled.
 
Marie jumped back but was buried by the leaves. she emerged unharmed and looked over at Jake. "Well It was nice meeting you." She smiled as she brushed herself off.
 
Jake nodded smiling but stopped a moment. The town was kinda small and he knew everyone.." wait if I may ask, are you new here? I don't think I ever seen you around.."
 
"Yes." She laughed a little. " I'm actually just passing through." She glanced over at the tree. "I don't like to stay in a place too long. Hey, do you know a store where I can pick up a few supplies?"
 
Jake nodded. "Yeah there's a nice corner store not far from here, I'll show you the way!" He took her hand and started off to the store. They were on main street so the store was close.
 
Marie looked down at the boy holding her hand, nervously. Now he was defiantly too close. She shrugged and went with him anyway, hopefully nothing would happen. A loud screech confirmed her fears as they began to cross a street. A car had lost control and was headed straight for them.

Jake turned to the screeching sound seeing the car he pulled her close and pushed her to the side other side of the street. He tried to run and barely made it without getting hit. He had escaped with a cut or two maybe five. "Are you alright?"
 
"Oh I'm fine." She shrugged it off and smiled. This was nothing new to her so she remained calm, like nothing had happened. "how about you?
 
Jake nodded slightly smiling. "Im OK just a few cuts but I'll patch everything up at the store." He started walking once more but then came to a stop. "Here we are."
