History (optional): Aiden is the unknown grandson of Tom Riddle. Before he became Voldemort, Tom Riddle had a relationship with a woman named Arrianna. She fell pregnant and took the child far away to America when Tom changed. She gave her daughter, Marie, his last name and in turn Marie gave it to Aiden. Marie also taught Aiden about who her father was and told him all about the war. Aiden has transferred to Hogwarts this year against his Father's wishes. He wants to see the places he came from. He is now the only decedent of the Gaunt line and Slytherin line. So far nobody has confronted him on who he is but he does steer clear of the Potter and Weasley Families.

The fact that he's Riddle's grandson is fine. It wouldn't be accepted if he was his son but since he's not then its fine. Just make sure you don't make him overpowered. Right now you can go to class in Hogwarts or you can sneak out to go to Hogsmeade. There is an auror returning to the castle with a student and a guy, a giant and a girl looking for ingredients to make a werewolf potion.

Still, I think it's better for him to keep his father's last name since I feel like using his mother's last name will cause a lot of problems in the flow of the rp and could change how the rp is currently moving. He can still be a descendant of Tom Riddle, he will just have another last name.

I can make it a middle name, it just seems like for him as a character, knowing who his ancestors were, he'd want to keep something of that legacy with him. And he wouldn't choose Gaunt or Slytherin since those are Pureblood names that have all but died out. Riddle however, wasn't even known as Voldemort's real name except by those who knew him before he became Voldemort and Harry Potter. Gomen, its just something that he would do as a person himself, if that makes sense.
