Greetings Dear Student,
You have been selected to partake in an experiment conducted by a Psychology Graduate. The purpose of this experiment is to help you deal with your problems that might affect your academic standing as well as your interactions with society. You will be transferred to a fully-functioning dormitory funded by several private and reputable institutions as a show of support for the experiment. You will be staying there for the duration of a school year. However, you will still be attending class in your respective school, with experimental sessions held in the dorm either within the weekends or after-school hours. Do not worry about the getting to class on time as the location of the dorm is central to the five institutions funding as well as participating in this experiment offering an equal travel time of 20 minutes on foot to any academy. Your legal guardians or parents have already been informed of this development.
Attached to this letter is a brief dossier on the psychology grad, a brief description of the dorm and its house rules, and your approved psych report which was compiled by your respective guidance councilor.

*You can be as quirky or crazy as you want, hence why I'm only asking for a personality. You can go over the top if you feel like it too.*

Name: Jeremy Sykes
Age: 25
Gender: Male

Background:
Jeremy was born to a high middle-class family living in the province. At young age, he had exhibited much academic aptitude and a spirit of helpfulness when it came to interacting with his friends. He had experienced the loss of his mother after she had given birth to his third sibling, despite the obvious trauma this event had on the youth he had decided to take charge and channel that depression into something more useful to the situation. He did what he could to spend time with his younger sister and walk her through the painful event as their father was visibly fighting his own demons as well throughout the ordeal.
Although he had been an unofficial source of counseling when it came to his friends, his decision to take up psychology was attributed to the fact that he was proud of himself in his efforts to walk his sister through the ordeal of losing their mother. Instead of a typical drop in his overall performance in life, people were surprised to see him energetic and enthusiastic. When asked the reason as to why this was true, he simply responded with the following statement. "My mom is gone, but what she taught me would stick around for a while longer. She did value efficiency and if she was still alive she'd whip me into doing something more productive than mourning over someone who has passed on to a better place." Some people would argue that he was just saying that to keep his mind off of things. Some even say that the scars ran deep and he's just putting on a brave face.
His sister would be the person who would be the reason he took up psychology, his mother's philosophy was his university life revolved around. Jeremy would be doing his absolute best to find the most efficient route through any give problem, oftentimes giving him shortcuts or developing unorthodox approaches to a given problem. He usually thought outside the box and came up with sufficient evidence to defend his approach to several professors, thought not all of them. It was years after he graduated that he proposed this experiment to several local school boards and had a trial run approved using the many connections he had made during his university life and the connections his father still kept in touch with.
Despite the academic aptitude he showed in his childhood, Jeremy was never an achiever during his entire school life. He, ironically, had an inherent laziness borne from his pursuit of efficiency, well less of laziness and more of a desire to expend as little energy as possible in a given task.
Selena Hall is a renovated co-ed dorm that was originally an abandoned boarding house purchased by Sykes with the funding he had received from the five private institutions that supported his experiment idea, he spent another percentage of the funds to expand the relatively small building and added a second floor to it. It is located at the central portion of town nearer to the "Academic Ring" which was the district that housed all the private academies as well as public academies. Sykes had insisted on naming the dorm after his deceased mother, to him it was a reminder of what he was trying to accomplish with this project and experiment.
The Ground floor houses the common room of the dorm as well as the living room, a dining room and kitchen. The common would also be used by Sykes as a sort of study area for when he decides to conduct his personal sessions with the residents of the dorm. The second floor would have be the living quarters, each room would come equipped with their own bathroom. Since you would all be problem students coming from several academies, most of the academic board has requested for single rooms as a measure to be taken that will try to decrease the chance of any conflict borne from any inter-school prejudice that a student may possess.
