So as the title says, I'm looking to do a Hobbit RP with the Sentinel/Guide AU. Now for those who don't know just what that is, here is a pretty good explanation of it: Now not everything in there has to apply to the RP. That's one of things I love out it long with Omegaverse is that we can more or less make the AU how we want so long as he have the important basics like how Sentinels and Guides are.
The main pairing would be ThorinxBilbo. With Thorin as the Sentinel and Bilbo the Guide. Please do not ask for a side pairing of Fili and Kili. I do not like incest of any kind so those two will only have a close, brotherly relationship. I'm sorry if that might upset some shippers out there but that pairing it just not my thing.
Now a few things to know. I have only seen the movies. Though through checking lore that I've seen in fanfics I do know a little outside of the movies. But mostly I only really know the movie versons of the characters. I also have never RP this fandom before though I do love it. So if it's alright I would prefer to play as Bilbo since I feel that he would be better for me to play instead of Thorin. The rest of the company we can talk about.
I do have a bit of a plot in mind for this as well. It was something I talked about with someone else on a different site but life showed up so it never got past the planing stage. What had been talked about is that in Rivendell Thorin, a powerful Sentinel, becomes sick; nothing serious just a cold or the flu. But being an unbonded Sentinel he has a greater chance of zoning while ill. So Balin, being the little sneak that he is, suggests that unbonded Guide Bilbo keeps an eye on him since Thorin won't tolerate being looked after by an Elven Guide and none of the few Guides in the company has as good compatibility with Thorin as Bilbo does. Of course Bilbo doesn't think that part is true. He's not a very powerful Guide by Hobbit standards. Actually by Hobbit standards he barely qualifies as a low level Guide. But eventually Bilbo agrees to looking after Thorin. And during that time they start to understand and get to know one another. That's about as far as planed but I figured it would continue to go through the movies with some changes thanks to the AU with hopefully an 'everyone lives' kind of thing.
Or it could be completely AU in that Smaug never showed up so they would have to meet in a different way. But that's something we can flesh out together. I like giving my partner a say in the planing phase.
I would greatly prefer to RP in email, but I'm not against doing in PM on here if need be. I also don't mind OOC chatting though I am a shy person.
