YOU'RE INVITED.
Hello everyone! This thread is dedicated to characters for the roleplay: YOU'RE INVITED. Please read through the dedicated tabs below before posting a character! Feel free to ask questions regarding characters, plot or really anything here.
Some important info:
- ✡ You're welcome to have 1 to 2 main characters.
- ✡ Side characters are not limited but please keep it realistic (side characters can be made if you're accepted, which might be a good idea to hold off just in case).
- ✡ Codes are aesthetic and usually well-organised but are not needed (if you're looking for easy to follow codes please check out these wonderful threads: 1, 2, 3).
- ✡ This is based on applications per member not characters, so please keep that in mind! Meaning if one of your characters is accepted your others are (unless there is something drastic I believe needs to be changed).
- ✡ Skills, background and personality are integral to your main characters as they will attribute to the choices they make. In the end, they are your characters and you will ultimately make choices for their survival and the survival of others. However, that won't stop me from making their lives a waking nightmare and I will be basing certain actions off your character's skills, background and personality (e.g., do they have the social skills to convince other survivors to band together, are they able to outrun a pursuer or can they successfully tend to a wound?).
- ✡ Your characters were invited to the party via the four hosts (who will get their own character sheets from yours truly).
- ✡ Please keep it realistic, your character is not attending the party with a gun or is certain something bad is going to happen.
- ✡ Finally, I cannot iterate this enough: do not join if you're looking for some forum game where I roll dice and it is a competition to see who survives. I want your characters to struggle and persevere, to face challenges and navigate traumatic situations.

MAIN CHARACTER.
So first up we have main characters, who will be the character you control and write for. Therefore, a bit more information is required for them versus side characters.
Below is a list of things I want to see within your main character sheet but feel free to format them however you like as long as the information is there (e.g., interview style and traditional):
— ✡ BASICS.
name:
nicknames:
age: (18+ and preferably young enough to attend a college party.)
date of birth:
gender:
sexuality:
race/ethnicity:
stereotype: (while I want unique characters, give me a stereotype that your character is perceived as, e.g., "the stoner", "the nerd".)
— ✡ APPEARANCE.
hair:
eyes:
skin: (colour, texture, blemishes, etc.)
body/build: (height, weight, etc.)
distinguishing features: (scars, tattoos, weird birthmark, etc.)
costume: (it is a halloween party, so get thinking!)
face claim: (realistic please!)
— ✡ PERSONALITY.
personality: (short or lengthy up to you!)
positive traits: (4+ feel free to list or go into depth.)
negative traits: (4+ feel free to list or go into depth.)
skills: (2+ what is your character good or proficient at?)
fears:(I may use this against you)
ailments: (mental illnesses, old injuries, etc.)
— ✡ HISTORY.
backstory: (detail your character's life, can be short or lengthy!)

SIDE CHARACTERS.
Now, these type of characters are not necessary, but nice to flesh out your main characters further (plus gives me some more victims to kill)! As previously noted, these characters can be made after you've been accepted (you can make them now if you would like but I don't want people putting in crazy effort and sadly not being accepted).
These characters will not be directly controlled or written for by you, but can be incorporated throughout your main character's posts! If they are not in your main character's line of sight I will be taking control of them. Coupled with the fact these characters have a higher chance of death, only a little information is required:
— ✡ BASICS.
name:
gender:
stereotype:
face claim: (realistic please!)
costume: (side character or not, what they wearing to the party?)
— ✡ PERSONALITY.
skills: (2+)
positive traits: (4+)
negative traits: (4+)
— ✡ HISTORY.
summary: (go ham but maybe try to keep it short and link it to their relationship with your main character.)
- plot
plot.
(this is the plot from the interest thread for your ease of access.)
A number of bigshots in the Miami University society world have seemingly invited you, among other students, to a Halloween party.
Set within Ohio, the party is to be hosted within the abandoned Athens Lunatic Asylum, which shut down in 1993. Left to rot and decay until the year 2021; a business mogul, Mr Watts, purchased the lot with the intention of tearing it down to make another luxury apartment building. His son, Harrison — one of the bigshots hosting the party — begged his father to have a final hoorah before the lot is bulldozed. It was the perfect place to host a Halloween party; the asylum being host to dozens of hauntings and rumours of supernatural forces inhabiting the place. After all, the Athens Lunatic Asylum does have a grisly history.
You've decided to attend the party — whatever the reason — dressed in your Halloween costume, for what will be a killer time.
This isn't some romantic drama though — far from it. You're in for a fight for survival that will test your strength, wit, intelligence and agility. Why? You ask. Let's just say the beer pong and bad decisions are cut short by a blood-curdling scream, a dead body and a whole lot of blood. Partygoers rush for the exits to find they are bolted shut. This was once an asylum, after all, meant to keep the patients inside not out. The culprit/s are armed to the teeth with a plethora of weapons in their arsenal. Is the killer someone with a personal vendetta, or is it something more sinister...?
It looks like you're going to have to survive the night and find out or join the rising body count. Will you hide, run, fight back, save others or use them to your advantage? The choice is up to you.
