Would there be any protocols in place for particularly dangerous curses?

For reference, I'm making a young girl whose voice makes people fall in love with her. Sounds not too bad... except that everyone who's had more than passing exposure is currently dead due to their own actions while under the curse's influence.

sorry for the late reply! i was actually at the emergency room (just getting a cast for a sprained wrist nbd) and i was there for nearly 4 hours.
OverconfidentMagi : that's a tough one. i'm not sure that would work out unless you have some ideas as to how other characters could interact with her without them also dying. if maybe she had a way to contain it? that would be a great idea to play on though throughout the rp and i'd love to go with it, just as long as her curse didn't mean everyone else was as good as dead if they hang out around her, yknow?

I was planning on just giving her a notepad to write on so she could communicate with others.

The threat is still there if she did talk though, so I was wondering if whoever's in charge would have done something to prevent her from speaking, just in case.

ahh, i see. my bad actually i somehow totally missed you said it was only her voice that made people fall for her!
and yeah the school officials will put (sometimes uncomfortable) measures in place to contain the more dangerous people, so i would say that they would put some kind of muffling metal mask over her mouth that only officials would have the ability to remove. if you're comfortable with that. that's not to say the mask would stay on her throughout the whole rp ​

i've been working on my chara & taking another look at everyone's cs! not too many people have gone into their background yet, so i thought now would be a good time to offer a bit more insight into how salvator gets its students since i never actually explained.

salvator is a product of the United States government. it is not magical, even if their power to track down IWP may at times seem to be. when a person's powers come into fruition, salvator - or one of it's sister universities - is supposed to be immediately informed of the event. and this is usually how it happens, especially if someone's powers are revealed in public, as most frightened passerby will be quick to alert salvator of the incident. however, sometimes a power will be kept secret or a family will attempt to hide their cursed child. in some cases, there has been no record of salvator ever being told about a curse, yet officials will still somehow turn up on the doorstep of the IWP. for this reason, there is a saying that "salvator is always watching." perhaps this is why so many people in the population will quickly tell salvator about potentially cursed individuals - so that they won't be punished for not speaking up (not to mention that people tend to be afraid of IWP and typically want them all to be contained). there's no proof that people have been punished by salvator. but there have been several accounts of people - linked to the concealing of an IWP - mysteriously disappearing. and there's no laws saying someone must be entered into one of salvator's academies, but it could certainly be considered an unspoken rule known the world over. everyone knows that it's dangerous to go against salvator and it's best for everyone to work with them. bad things will happen to those who don't, no matter how much salvator might deny it.

salvator will not initially show up in person. once alerted, an email will instantly be sent out to the IWP and - if applicable - their family members. if nobody has an email, a letter will be sent. this will be a kindly worded and very formal email or letter, always written the same:

"Hello [Insert IWP's Name Here],
It has come to our attention at Salvator Academy that you have recently been shown to possess evidence of the Curse. We would like to first and foremost express our deepest condolences for the pain this must be causing you. It is no easy thing for one to find they are an Individual With Power. Here at Salvator, we understand that more than anyone. It is our recommendation that you come to visit our facilities and see for yourself! Salvator Academy is specially equipped to help you handle this new ability and learn to control it in a safe environment. Left unchecked, your power will be an extreme danger to yourself and to others. It is our understanding that the Curse preys on our insecurities, our fears, and our darkest memories. The toll this will take on your mind and soul will be insurmountable if you do not seek help. Please, accept this as an invitation to Salvator Academy, where you will overcome the mental difficulties of your newfound power and learn how you can one day live happily and healthily among the public again - no harm to yourself or to anyone else. We wish to provide you with catharsis only we have the means to give.
Take some time to consider our request. We hope to be hearing from you very soon."

if salvator does not hear from the IWP within three days, they will start to make phone calls and send text messages. if the IWP does not cave within a week, they will finally arrive in person to wherever the IWP is. the salvator officials always come in groups of three and are are not frightening in appearance by any means. they look like any run-of-the-mill teachers or therapists, coming with gentle words and kind smiles. but they are also armed and, depending on how powerful the IWP may be, armored. they will do everything in their power to convince an IWP to come with them. if the IWP acts violently or refuses to comply, they will resort to violence: incapacitating the Cursed and taking them with them back to the academy.

one does not say no to salvator. while they may phrase it as a request, their letter is not something you get to refuse. it is a threat, a friendly notice that you have been found and you will be attending salvator whether you would like to or not.
