Making a good deal always put Misaki in a good mood as she happily grabbed the other box and headed for the door. The mood quickly dipped as she stepped outside and saw Sheltim talking with a couple presumably thugs.
Misaki quickly scans the newcomers while her mind races for the proper way...
"18 is a deal," Misaki agrees she pulls out the cred stick. As she slots it in the reader, she motions for Sheltim to grab one of the boxes and take it to her car. Grabbing the 2nd box she follows Sheltim back to the car.
When out of earshot of other workers, she whispers to him that they...
"Looks like everything is in order. Seems you were able to get much of it straight from the source, impressive. However, I'd say there's only 16 grand worth. Add in a nice finder's fee and I'm willing to offer you 17 thousand. Of course if our buyer's happy with how everything works out, I'm...
Misaki walks over and starts looking in the first box, taking care as it is lab equipment. As she checks each item off off her mental list, she tries to match them with any images she found on the ride out. Fortunately a few of the items were actually tagged to bring up data on her HUD.
"We here to pick up some goods. Our associate requested them, but is currently busy with some tests and couldn't pull away."
Misaki studies the old man carefully to judge his reaction. Time to see what we're dealing with.
Once Misaki gets to the destination, she quickly reviews the list to double check if this is equipment that will fit in the car. After she gets out of the car, she finds Sheltim as he's pulling up.

[ooc] - reference the matrix section starting with page 219. Data search will be the bulk of what a hacker does doing the planning stage of a run. The fancy hacking can be included if you're looking in non-public places or you need to cover your traces. Kiyoshi has more experience doing it that...
Well, yes, I know I'm not going and selecting the items. Just figured if I could guestimate the value of the goods, I could use that to drive a bargain. You don't have actually tell me, that can just be lumped in the negotiation roll.
After plugging the address into the auto nav, I settle down to review what we have on our vendor. Time to check out this shopping list and see how much leverage room I have. Anything I can save will make a nice commission..
Things I'm looking for on the shopping list:
* relative value of the...
Might be a good idea to get some info on our vendor before I get there. This could be a good test for the deck head.. Calling out as she walked to her car, "Hey Ix, think you can dig up the scoop on our vendor before I finish driving to the docks?"
That's why I didn't have any to start. Once we start getting money, I might have to raise an army. :Evil laugh:
Maybe I should have put more points into summoning instead of casting - we'll see.
I forget - do you have to spend karma on binding? Or was it just time? Unfortunately since we'll be more than 5 km away, the spirit is on remote service and can only do the number of tasks we give it initially and it's gone.
"Sounds good to me. Besides, if you rode with me, we'd have to come all the way out here to retrieve your bike.".
On the way out of the facility, I beam Sheltim my contact number. I also make sure to record his bike's ID.
"Just give me a second. I'm also going to send a spirit with Robin."
"I like the idea of sending spirits as well to the warehouse. Plus it's nice to have a backup communication route."
Misaki's mind wandered to what kind of research they might have been doing there.I think I better send a tengu to get my own bird's eye view of the place.
