Jake nodded. "Yeah there's a nice corner store not far from here, I'll show you the way!" He took her hand and started off to the store. They were on main street so the store was close.

Jake was about to speak when the tree fell down. He jumped slightly seeing he almost was hit by a branch. "That's weird..I almost got hit by that branch," he. Mumbled.

Jake chuckled and shook his head. "No I just happen to be running from some dogs..." he rubbed the back of his neck. "I was messing with them then they got mad and chased me." He said softly not wanting to seem like a loser.

Jake looked at her and nodded smiling happily. "Yeah of course I am! I'm used to hurting myself in strange ways." He replied. His face was flushed slightly red from embarrassment of the girl noticing him. His jet black bangs covered his bright green eyes slightly. "I'm Jake, what's your name?"

Jake had happen to be messing with a few dogs and was chased into the park. There he had climbed a tree and sat until those beast got bored and left him alone. He was going to climb down when..crack! The branch snapped and he fell to the dirty ground with it. He bit his lip and picked himself up...
