Having tied him, the leader of the men stood and touched his throat with his swordpoint.
"No, I don't hate royalty - at least, not when that royalty is not Unioseine."
The swordpoint didn't budge.
"Tell us what the secret is, or we cant promise you your safety."
The man who stood at the head of the boat unsheathed his sword, as well. He hacked at Lucifer.
"Stop, you fool!" another voice shouted. "Can't you see he's the prince? You'll get us all executed!"
Several moments passed, and then the ripples on the water began to increase.
Eventually, a large yellow boat, shaped somewhat like a massive wooden plaintain, appeared.
The shadow grew with every passing moment.
Eventually, it became a reflection, with color. What had appeared to be clouds revealed themselves to be the sails of a vessel.
Jamir shook his head in disgust, and, turning away, left. He had to return to the vineyards within half an hour and be prepared to work, or he would be dismissed from the job.
