Yes, they would. This is an exception, because they're close siblings and they grew up together. They don't know of anyone else's powers, however, nor does anyone know about theirs.

None of them know about each others' powers. It depends on the person as to if their character knows their own power, though. The majority (I believe) do not, and will discover their powers later on when they come across the Guild.
