Raven looked back at the others, most of whom were asleep, and he slipped away, hoping to lure whatever was out there away from the other chosen warriors. Once he was a good distance away, he stopped. "You can come out now," he said, throwing knives in hand in case a fight should break out.

It had been a while since dinner, and Raven was asleep. After a few hours, a noise woke him up and he sat up and looked around. 'Okay, either I'm imagining things, or we're not alone,' he thought as he reached for a throwing knife, just in case.

"Well, I'm sorry it didn't work out," Raven said. (g2g, getting sleepy. g'night, all! ^^)

"That's awful," Raven said, folding his arms. "Why would someone treat you like that? He doesn't deserve you, Jess. Remember that."

"Oh. Oh man, I'm sorry," Raven said sincerely. "I know, men can be jerks."

"Then if you don't mind my asking... how come you're so nervous around me?" Raven asked.

Raven nodded. "In a way, I can understand that," he admitted. "There are a lot of private people out there. I just happen to not be one of them." He moved a little closer to her. "Anything I can do?"

"The trauma... from that fire, maybe?" Raven wondered. "No, there's gotta be more to it than that... Well, it's a start." He then noticed Jess shiver. "Are you okay?" he asked in a concerned tone.

A vision of a burning building flashed before Raven's eyes. His eyes flashed open with a panicked yell, and seconds later, he was breathing heavily trying to calm himself. Once he was relatively calm, he turned to face Jessica. "I... It's okay, Jess," he said. "I should be the one...

"I don't mind you looking into my memories," Raven told Jess. "How does it work?"

"It's okay," Raven said. "You wanna know more about me, right?" He gave her a reassuring smile.

"Hmm... Well, I guess it's worth a shot," Raven said. "It can't really hurt to try." (sorry guys, getting sleepy. see you later! ^^)

Raven smiled and nodded in agreement. Then he looked at Jess. "What's on your mind?" he asked.

Raven glanced over at Tier. "Sounds like someone's in a good mood. What are you thinking about?"

"Thanks, Tier," Raven said as he covered up the scars again. "Seriously though, I have no idea how I got them. The hell of it is they're the only clue to my past, and even that doesn't tell me much."

"They're old scars, so they don't really hurt anymore. Not unless something really hot touches them," Raven explained. "But thank you, Jess. I appreciate your concern."

Raven flinched a little at the question, but figured there was really no harm in telling her. "Probably because it gave me this," he said as he rolled up his pant leg. On his right leg, there were terrible burn scars. "I got these scars before I lost my memories, so I'm not sure on the...

"Well, you do seem kinda shy," Raven said. He then moved the grass to check his burn. "Hmm, not so bad. I've certainly had worse."

Raven looked over at Jessica. "Something wrong, Jess? You've been kinda quiet over there."
