"Alright. We shall build a settlement here at the river's end."
Whilst we are constructing the village, we will have men attempt to tame one of the beasts. We will build fortifications later.
We set up tents to stay in until the housing is constructed.
I gaze from the hills at the massive herd of oliphants.
I can feel their stomping from afar. Their power astounds me, I have only heard tales of beasts this size from childhood. They're said to live south in the unknown lands, but it looks like they're migrating north.
I turn to Nergui and...
I look towards the hills in fear
"Get ready! To arms!" I shout. I think that their must be an army of thousands of men over the hills.
I mount my horse, and ride to the hills, with my horsemen following.
As I ride on horseback, I wrap my arm in cloth to stop the bleeding.
I wear the white lion's hide on my back. It drapes down onto my horse.
"How was that? What do the people think of me?" I say to Nergui while simultaneously flaunting my new fur cape.
I spot the lion and say "Here. Here is where I gain the people's respect. Have them watch me slay this beast"
I order my a pack of men, including my bodygaurd Nergui, to stay a bit behind as I ride towards the lion.
I circle the lion at a fair distance.
Along the way, mounted scouts ride ahead at the front of the pack, seeking out any other packs.
They shoot at animals as well, to later carve and roast during the encampment.
I will continue moving the Khalasar along the river.
I armor myself, grab my weaponry and mount my horse.
I blow a horn to signal that we are beginning to move.
I call for the servant to fetch some food, but there's no reply. I get up and walk to a camel used to carry goods.
I find a loaf of bread within one of the bags, return to the fire, and gnaw on the stale bread.
I lay in my bed, wondering where my brothers are.
I fall asleep and dream of being in a palace, with long empty halls and tapestries hanging from the walls. I sit the throne, but the palace is completely silent.
Then, the face of my brother flashed in front of me, and then woke up fast.
