Just a heads-up to those I'm rp'ing with: if one of my characters gets killed in this one rp, my heart won't be in roleplaying for a while. That means I'll be legitimately taking a break to grieve...sorry.
Am I the only one who hates bad endings? I think this unnamed forum-poster sums it all up for me:
"Now onto my point....I hate sad endings. I really do. I don't understand them. Don't get me wrong, some stories MUST have a sad ending, there's no other way, especially for stories that are trying to make a point of some sort...but for alot of stories...I don't get it.
I don't see WHY the main character that you've spent an hour and a half watching in a movie or days/weeks reading about in a book or getting to know in a video game just dies. What was the point? I've spent a crap load of time getting to know and enjoy this character only for all their pursuits to lead to death or some bittersweet moment where the storyteller didn't want to completely leave the reader hanging which is probably worse because you might as well just go all in."
Tohou is nice equivalent to my Saint Seiya verse on levels of power. The only verse here that can do that. So plot armour bs anyone comes up with is null & void.
If someone noticed all the love and attention to detail I put in any one of my character sheets and read it all the way through, that'd make me really happy. :/
