This Press Release assignment in my Biology Lab class is killing my writer's soul. The sample of a "good" press release is filled with grammatical errors and atrocious sentence structure. I really hope this is just a one off, because I may need to change my personal mission in life to "pushing for scientists to polish their papers prior to publication" otherwise.
You know your prof is really horrendous at their job when you feel completely panicked about the midterm until you read through the textbook and go "Oh... this is easy." It takes skill to make something as logical as physics so incredibly confusing in class.
"If you were to ask friends and family what carbohydrates do in your body, they would probably say something like "They give you energy." And you'd agree, but only after pointing out that carbohydrates are also used in cell identity, as a structural material, and as a source of carbon atoms for the synthesis of other complex molecules."
And this ^^^ is why you don't have any friends, Karen.
Funny how I felt totally wide awake right up until I had to crack open this biology textbook to study lol. "Is it 10pm yet? Can I go to bed and cram some more tomorrow? Oh... it's only 3:45pm? I see...."
One element I didn't expect to be excited about, with classes starting up again shortly, was the anticipation of having multiple lovely roleplays to reply to when the day was done
