    It's a status update, and you're upset. Why are you letting the world know you're angry, and why are you on RPN? Silly, silly, silly people doing silly things always makes me laugh.

    @Fatal Striker sorry, i meant to say arse, since it's what you said you would be if you just commented on their own status. i wasn't calling you one, i was drawing back to the point you had made before and asking you why you saw yourself as not being one when what you were doing looks to me to have the same effect. i'm really not here to call names or start anything with you, and i'm sorry for the confusion.


    i don't get what you mean, though. if they saw Exiled Ace's initial post, they'd know it was about them immediately. and if someone was talking about you public, it's not unreasonable that'd you listen in when it's in earshot of you. it just seems like the same thing as if you were going to just tell them upfront, since, either way, you know they're going to see it. but if you don't see it that way, again, that's fine - i just wanted to make that point if you hadn't considered it.

    @rusticyawn, I don't think it's the same effect at all. Unless they are constantly checking all status updates people make and what others reply to them, then sure they can think I'm an arse, but who is the one to blame more? Me who commented on someone who shares the same views as I do OR them for literally looking for someone to start a beef with? That's why I said I wouldn't put a bad comment on those people's status seeing how it's none of my business. They are free to ignore what they don't like and if they want to join and fight for the cause, then they should be up for that fight. That's all I'm saying.

    @Fatal Striker like i do understand that’s your distinction, and if statuses weren’t so public i’d totally agree and encourage you to do it this way, but with the way the site is formatted currently,  what i’m saying is that posting a status talking about someone would be just as visible to them as if you’d just directed the same comment to them personally.


    basically, it would be similar to if you did this same thing with someone you were friends with on facebook, but on this site, anyone sees any status that is made on the site. and like facebook, looking through recently made statuses isn’t all that uncommon, because it’s literally a feature the site provides on the front page. the replies wouldn’t be immediately visible to them, but if the person you’re talking about stumbled onto ace’s post on the main page, (and i get the impression they did, actually) they would know you’re talking about them anyway, and again, the effect is the same as if you were talking about them in earshot irl. of course they’re going to read something that’s being said about them in public.


    but beyond this, i won’t keep pushing this subject – people keep getting notified about it, and it might just boil down to a difference of opinion that won't be solved with a few text posts, anyway. thanks for talking with me, regardless.

    Well I see where that could get annoying, but people say taking AP Biology helps with chemistry, because as a colledge prep class they give you shit tons of work, so I should be ready. As for how much I like chemistry, I think it's more interesting than  biology, so I'm still excited.

    I've already taken biology, and from experience, I can tell you it's much more interesting and fun, but we are studying nuclear chem next unit. I'm not too sure what that entails however.
