good evening everyone!

my name is sour girl but please just call me sour, i'm new to the site but i have been doing roleplay for a couple of years now. though i took a long-needed break because i had some personal issues going on at the time, that was about two years go so it has been quite some time.

i have heard many good things about this site from many different people, i thought why not join this wonderful site so here i am. i'm honestly supper excited to take a look around this site and just see what there is, like i said before it has been a hot minute since i have roleplayed so i may be a little rusty with my writing. i'm trying to figure out what it is that i would like to write while i'm getting back into the groove of things, but one thing i know for sure is i'm going to try out some fandom roleplays. the last site i was on is nothing like this site, rpnation has a lot more to offer and seems to have a lot of traffic with is just wonderful.

i don't want to take up to much of your time so i'm going to end things here, also i know i'm writing in only lower case, i'm doing it on purpose because i like the way it looks. of course, when i'm writing i will not be writing like this, i will be writing like any other person would. anyways thank you so much for taking the time to read my introduction, i'm very sorry for making it so long!

I'm Kat! I've been RPing for about 5 months now, if we ignore the time I spent RPing in Roblox when I was younger - though it's definitely not the same as what I do now. In other words, I'm an amateur, but of course there's only one way to earn experience.

-> I'm most experienced in fantasy settings; in fact, I moderate for a discord RP server based in fantasy. I also do enjoy regular, slice-of-life style RPs. What I'm not a fan of is combat, partially because I'm tired of godmodders and partially because I find it difficult to understand people's descriptions of their character's actions, no matter how detailed.

-> I've only ever RPed with my own original characters. Although I haven't tried RPing existing characters, I always find it difficult to keep characterisation when I write stories about them, so I don't think I'd be the most canon RPer out there ^^; some may think this isn't really an issue, but I personally hate reading fanfiction where the characters don't act anything like they do in canon, therefore I'd like to avoid being a perpetrator of this.

-> At this point, I don't know how to describe how much I write. I tend to match other people's lengths, in terms of one-on-one, but if I get the opportunity (and sudden inspiration) then I can end up writing two 'paragraphs'. That's in quotation marks because my paragraphs tend to be 10+ sentences. I think I just need to learn how to space them out a little better, as a bunch of people have told me already :'] I'm perfectly fine with writing shorter than this, though. It's what I tend to default to, if I don't get random bursts of motivation that is.

-> I do 3rd person RP. Writing "I said..." simply doesn't feel right to me, and I'm not really sure why.

Uh, that's about it. This might seem a little formal but that's just how my introductions tend to be - most of the time I don't even use capital letters. Seeya round!

Hi there, everyone! I'm Syzy and haven't roleplayed in a LONG time. I'm 20 and am about to finish up my degree in English LIterature. I've recently had a desire to get back into roleplaying after years of not doing so. I love character-heavy roleplays, romance, and fantasy-driven subjects. I usually only roleplay as women, as I've never really used male characters, so please let me know what works best for you! I'm always open to new partners, so hit me up with whatever you have! I would love to partake in long-term stories with you guys!

I prefer to do longer response roleplays, but don't let that scare you! I usually like to match whatever is given to me. I also prefer not to use first-person in my roleplays, as it feels a little awkward. Finally, I like to try my best to respond as fast as possible, but sometimes I forget. Please feel free to remind me if I haven't responded in a reasonable amount of time, but also be respectful with this!

I'm new to this app. I have a history of roleplaying. I used to roleplay on Roblox when I was younger. I basically quit when I realized that as I got older, most people didn't like roleplay anymore. The roleplays weren't at the level I wanted them to be at. So I found another website. That website ended up shutting down, sadly. I'm kind of rusty on roleplay. I've recently occasionally roleplayed on Roblox, but since nobody my age is into it, I'd prefer doing it here. I'm not sure how this website works. I am excited to join though. I'll probably be complicating some of my old roleplays in the "Writing" discussion. My username is Groggy because that's one of my favorite words lmao. I don't currently have any OCs. I plan on polishing up some old OCs. Also, just know I can always make an OC on the spot. My dream is to be an author so I love the quick creative practice Writing is also part of why I love Roleplaying. Besides it being a coping mechanism, roleplaying inspires me to get back to writing whenever I hit writer's block. Just know if I plan on turning anything we write into a story, you WILL be consulted. Not that it would be published. I'm not at that point yet. This paragraph was a bit all over the place I apologize.

Oooooo...another aspiring writer! Unfortunately I doubt it will ever happen for me since I'm kind of a crappy writer and also never actually finish anything I write. I get ideas for specific scenes I'd like to have play out, but it's a challenge simply getting to them since plot is extremely difficult for me. I'm more of a character driven writer.

Ello everyone! Not gonna lie, it took me a good minute to figure out how to post this introduction... so clearly I’m brand spankin new to this site. I used to have a glorious time role playing back in the day and just recently became overwhelmed with nostalgia as I found myself checking in on the old proboards site my [as] buddies and I used for shenanigans. I truly enjoyed experiencing the peak of the Adult Swim message boards before they were tragically shut down. Now I’m looking for a site that could provide that similar sense of community and mix of incoherent babbling with rather well-thought out RPs. I love to write and just haven’t given myself the time to reintroduce the world to my unspoken imagination. My username is the same from my old RP account on another site, inspired by Foamy the Squirrel‘s Toaster of Amityville.

Okay, intro done! Looking forward to seeing what type of community lurks in these shadows.

It's never too late to work on your writing skills. Writing on Wattpad, Inkitt, or anywhere you can publish stories could help. A lot of writers start there before getting to the big leagues of actual books. I'm the same with my writing. I wrote a 40-page story on google docs then never finished it. I have a dozen drafted stories as well as ones I just never got to writing. But if you have the creativity for writing, don't give that up. Working on short 5 minute read stories is always valid. Or setting goals for yourself. Over the summer I plan on forcing myself to write 15-20+ minutes a day. My old "I write when I get in the writing mood" mindset doesn't work. You need to push yourself. Procrastinating is so annoying but it's also inevitable if you don't work to end it. Good luck, I hope you find your writing groove again. < 3
 
Hi hi! I'm Bx and I just joined this site! I joined because I was going on a nostalgia trip through FeralFront (WCRPG in my day) only to find that it's been shut down, and it seems like a lot of people from there have taken refuge here. I've been RPing for a solid decade, and I like fantasy humanoid roleplays best but I've been hoping to branch out. Also I'm really interested in being on a forum that has advanced BBCode capabilities! I'm kind of getting back into the swing of writing, but I do like it and I try to have pretty literate responses. I'm also on Flight Rising and a bunch of other virtual pet sites. Nice to meet you all! c:
