Howdy! You can just call me Red.

I'm migrating here from another site in search of greener pastures.

I'm a novella writer whose origins are in the area of fantasy, although I do dabble occasionally in modern. I have my own worldbuilding hobby called the Realms of Istharia, which I've been working on and off on for the past year or so. Eragon, World of Warcraft, and Redwall all have played a big part in terms of inspiring me as a writer, although I've also taken interest in dystopian and modern themes recently. I also enjoy a good bit of ~saucy~ romance in my stories, particularly those of LGBTQ+ nature as I identify under it. Bonus points if said romance is gritty, dark, and unforgiving - I like some turmoil and conflict when I write, and watching characters overcome their hardships together is basically like cocaine for me. I may or may not have a bad habit of showering my writing partners with art gifts, as I also happen to be an artist! ...Most of my art is roleplay related, actually.

But I digress.

As for OOC preferences, I am someone who thoroughly appreciates a good conversation, whether it relates to our story or not. Communication is essential for me, and being comfortable enough to gush and talk about an RP is always a huge plus. I'm a lenient person who's forgiving about reply times and periods of writer's block; it happens to all of us. I am, however, a full-time student, so my availability during the week may lean towards the evening (CT zone).

Whats up guys! It's me, Jaw Breaker back in action after like a three year long hiatus. Just thought I'd get back in to story telling and comeback to my favorite Roleplay site! It's been forever, and I can't wait to get back in to it!

I'm Yamperzzz, and I've always enjoyed RPs since for as long as I could remember. Howeveeeer, I've stopped RPing for years and only just recently picked up interest again. I joined here because I wanted to find an active RP forum, and this one seems to be decently active. I enjoy making my own very unique characters (one of which is on my profile pic.) Hey, vatormi here. Been roleplaying for many years on other sites that sort of,,, died off or I lost interest in. Decided to give RPNation a shot since I've heard decent things about it. I tend to rp fandom content mostly, but I'm not disinterested in trying some original ideas if they catch my attention. I'm more of a 1x1 roleplayer than a group member. Group chats sort of stress me out, but I suppose I could give them a shot again sometime (since I haven't attempted one in years). I prefer writing long paras/posts with my partner, and I enjoy worldbuilding, romance/pining, angst, and anything inbetween.

I'm an exhausted artist/animator, gamer, movie enthusiast, and college student. Despite my schedule I'm a dedicated rp partner and if I ever have to excuse myself from roleplaying for a while (life can sneak up on me) you can trust me to let you know that I'll be absent, so you aren't left hanging.

Anyway, I've never used a site with this format before so,,, wish me luck, and I'm excited to rp with you guys!

I was told I could talk to a mod or something about merging my accounts so I'm here to try and do that.

This is my first time roleplaying on a professional site and I'll probably make a lot of mistakes in the first couple of days. All I did was search up "Roleplay Forums" and this was the first site that came up, which must mean it's pretty good! From what I have found in the roleplay forums section, I've noticed that I'm mostly interested in Realistic/Modern character development group roleplays. My hobbies include drawing, playing the ukulele, collecting vintage stamps, and trying new things! RpNation looks like a good spot to begin roleplaying and I hope I can learn how to be a sophisticated writer. I've just noticed that there are forums dedicated to art and hanging out instead of just roleplay, which is exciting! There is so much to do on this site and so many creative and interesting people to talk to.

I've been writing/RPing (And explaining to people that 'no, roleplay is not just that thing people do to spice things up in the bedroom') for like ten years now. My posts range from 600 words to 'oh god why' and tend to be jam-packed with introspection and speculation. I have a tendency to blindly vomit large amounts of words, not knowing what the hell I'm actually writing until I've already written it, then giving it a cursory spell-check and throwing it at my partner before I have a chance to second-guess myself. Initially I was a strictly sci-fi guy, but more recently I've been branching out into fantasy, modern, and...Pretty much any setting that someone's willing to write with me in. My characters mostly consist of tough, socially inept young women and cool, suave older men. They're...uh...hosted...somewhere...else…?

I'm not really 100% clear on the 'pretend-other-sites-don't-exist' rules just yet. I'll get there.

Mostly I'm just here to follow one of my best friends who has recently bailed from my go-to site...Which, admittedly, is pretty much a desolate, sparsely populated landscape of flakes, ghosters, and anime fetishists. I'm pretty bad at learning new things when it comes to websites and communities. I think my excessive weekend alcohol consumption has shriveled up a small portion of my brain which has in turn segregated itself into the aspect of a crabby old man who is technologically disabled and resistant to change. Did I mention I sometimes go off on tangents?

• i've been on two big forum sites, so i have experience in that area, but i also have experience roleplaying in chatroom-type sites and on DIscord (for a brief period of time).
• i'm really a fan of all categories, mainly romance, fantasy, and just a tiny bit of thriller. anything is fine with me except for maybe sci-fi (i can never understand what's happening but i like reading it)
