hello, my name is sam! i’ve been role playing on an off for about four years now, i’m super into detailed characters and plot settings so if you wanna give me a paragraph of details i’m all ears. i always try to match the length and detail of a message i received so what you send is what you get lol. i’m usually into fantasy type roles, but anything fun and exciting works for me. i play mostly human/human-like characters since i don’t really know how to play others and to be honest don’t really have a huge interest in learning (sorry!!) ,, i generally type in a first person perspective but can do third if that’s what’s comfortable, though i apologize if i accidentally change perspectives at times, especially if i’m tired. lastly, i feel most comfortable doing 1 on 1 role plays, so if you’re looking for a group you won’t find me very interesting,, oops

Hello, I haven't solidly tried to roleplay properly as the most I've done was on a game which wasn't really suited to role-playing which has become more difficult to do. I've been searching for a role playing discord but gave up and I'm hoping for somewhere friendly for a noob like me I am 18, British and female. I've been roleplaying for 9 years, though my roleplays in recent years have become sparse because of everchanging roleplay platforms. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of writing by joining RPnation!

Before all this, I used to be big on Tumblr RPs. I love Lit, especially revolving around shipping and character development. Horror is my favourite genre, slashers have inspired a lot of the interests I have today.

Most of all, I can't wait to roleplay with all of you.

Hello, everyone! You can call me Jay. I’m an experienced, mature, literate paragraph/multi-paragraph roleplayer with 11 years of experience under my belt. As a roleplayer, I am mostly interested in sci-fi and fantasy, and love touches of dystopian, post-apocalyptic, horror, and alternate genres, too. I can work with most genres and settings, though, and can play a very wide variety of character types.

I am new here, and I decided to join RPNation because I wanted to see if my long search for like-minded roleplayers would finally come to an end. It’s been tough to find good roleplayers and I’m hoping to have a lot of fun and make new friends here!

Outside of roleplaying, I’m a writer, aspiring author/literary artist - and a serious popcorn addict! I love to invest the richness of the world - both real and imagined - into stories never before told, so I really strive to create dynamic and unique characters, craft fascinating worlds, and fashion addictive storylines/plots. I adore great descriptions, realistic character-building, good storylines, and am very likely to toss in some well-planned plot twists. I’m currently writing an online, interactive serial novel on my personal blog. I also sing, illustrate, play the piano, and am a proud doggie mom of four gargantuan doggos.

I'm CuddlyHawk (people call me Cuddly, usually, or they'll call me by the character I rp with them) and I've been roleplaying for... God, it's been a long time. I think 6 years? Either 6 or 7 years, on and off. I started roleplaying because I've been writing for pretty much my whole life (I found a file from when I was around 7 years old, writing a story about a cop and his K-9, who happened to be a pig because my favorite animals are pigs. I didn't get the irony until much later), and writing fanfiction for a very long time as well, and when I saw the 2012 TMNT series, I wanted to share my joy for it with other people, by creating stories together. That's actually where I made a couple really good friends, and also where I found my current best friend. Some people come and go when you roleplay, but the person who played Leonardo and I got along really well outside of roleplaying and we're besties now, despite living on opposite sides of the country.

I started roleplaying as Donatello on DeviantArt, with a special roleplay account that I had to audition to get since it was through a group who leased out their accounts for people to borrow while they were in the fandom. Time went on, I lost interest in the 2012 series but I stuck with the account until about 2015, when I eventually gave it back. In that time, I had fallen in love with many other fandoms but none were sticking. Eventually I watched Voltron and it became my newest addiction. At this point, I wasn't really on DeviantArt anymore, especially not for roleplaying, but I wanted to keep writing stories with other people. So I found the site ShamChat and it became my best friend for a while. Soon enough, the desire to roleplay with others waned and I went back to just writing fanfiction by myself.

Fast forward to now, and I'm completely smitten with Good Omens. That's why I'm here, actually. Good Omens is a brand new fandom for me, and the craving is back. I want to write with other people, I want to develop my writing, I want to see how others play the characters in the show. I tried going back to ShamChat, but apparently it was shut down (that was a hard day for me, when I found out), so after I gathered my broken heart, I googled 'roleplay forums' and you guys were the first ones to pop up. I thought I'd give it a try and see if it's something I enjoy.

As for my favorite types of roleplaying, I adore angst. The more heartbreaking, the better. That's when people get invested in their writing, and when replies flow like a stream. When we get stuck in "He smiled and said 'hello' and then I smiled back and said 'hi'," the roleplay tends to die very quickly, in my experience. But if you come out of the gate with a strong starter, a call to action, a mission of some kind, the other person is much more willing to roleplay long adventures with you.

I don't know if anyone will even read this far, haha. But it's good to organize my thoughts and set up a strong foundation to get ready to make some friends on this site. I'm ready to get back into roleplaying!

I do the roleplays sometimes. TLDR; new to the site, but been at the game for a long while.

Hi. I'm Maranda (my online name), I have been roleplaying since I was 13, and went on a hiatus about two years ago because almost every one I tried to role play with just kind of dropped off from the chat. I'm back again and want to give this another try. I love roleplaying and I have been wanting to do it for so long. Anyway, hi peeps I'm Catastrophe (Cat). I've actually been roleplaying for a good few years now - around 6-7 years - so I'd say I'm fairly experienced. When I roleplay, I'm usually quite descriptive and tend to gravitate towards horror/mystery/thriller roleplays! Although I do like a good sci-fi or fantasy rp too. I used to rp a lot on Quotev before the admins decided to get rid of the roleplaying topics entirely. After that, I went MIA for a bit with life and now I'm back on the rp scene and found out about this site through an old Quotev friend of mine.

As for outside of roleplaying? I like to play the piano, bake, read books, watch Netflix, anime and kdramas etc. I'm not very interesting haha.

I look forward to meeting everyone and I hope I can find some new friends!
