Futuristic The [CLASSIFIED] Incident

Summary of Story


The year is 2296, humanity has spread to the stars and colonies are appearing everywhere. The governments of the world have created the World Council, a group of cronies that control every world decision. To help them, they created multiple departments to control every other aspect of life on Earth. One of these departments is Department 7, in charge of law enforcement and protection. For Vance Tessan, his life as an operative for Department 7 is going to be thrown around, punched, kicked, shot, blown up, and messed up, from the moment he leaves to begin his daily missions.


The story will revolve around Vance as he tries to figure out what the hell is going on, alongside him trying to finish his last mission. There will be other characters and most of them will be either a pain in the ass to him or will be loving companions... or will they... In general, be prepared for some possible twists and some stupidity as I try to sound cool.


What is going to be like?


In general, I am going to post ever so often, probably going leave a day or two for you to vote and do things. If there are any concerns, ask me in another tab (mainly because it is a pet peeves of mine). Hopefully you enjoy and you guys will help me as well.

HOW IT ALL STARTED!

Vance's morning was stupidly shitty, for a number of reasons. One, he generally hates mornings and the need to get out of his nice warm bed seems like a hassle. Two, the coffee machine that he has in his apartment, which was usually the only thing that was getting him out of bed, had broken down. Three, his younger sister, Natalya, had spent the entire night on a gaming binge and the floor was litter with grape soda cans, rubbish, half eaten snack bars, empty batteries, the occasional elephant plush doll that had probably been thrown during a rage moment. Lastly, the assignment that he was tasked with was to meet up with a VIP at the Magnetic Rail station and escort them to the Department HQ. Why the last reason was even a reason in the first place is that, (A) Vance just doesn't like public transport on Earth and (B) because they are crowded as like sardines in a can.





The station that he pulled up to was "bursting at the hinges". Every step was usually answered by a shove in your direction, that forced you further back in the line. The line that stretched out from the entrance of the station was massive, like a snakes long winding body. This would have been a problem if it wasn't for the fact that the station staff had been advised of his arrival. He did get booed quite a bit when he cut through all the people. As he gently made his way through the station with surprising ease, the corner of his vision lit up, a glowing picture of a woman appearing. That was one of Vance's AI coordinators, Angel. "Vance, how many times have I told you, rush hour is a stupid time to check the mag-rail stations? Of all the times that I marked out to you in the email, you picked this time, the most inconvenient of them all!" As Angel rambled on for a bit, the other corner lit up, this time a reddish colour and a man. (If you are smart, you can probably guess the name) The AI just stood there, before a message appeared at the top of Vance's vision, reading, "I know that you hate this. I personally hate it as well. You know that she wants you to be safe." Vance's response was a short chuckle, shortly followed by, "Sorry..."


The platform that he arrived at was massive, but despite this, it was packed. People were everywhere, nervously checking the time or eating the breakfast that they had brought with them. The smell of a food kiosk drifted through the air, Vance not to happy that he was stuck, doing this mission. With a quick hand gesture, something like a quick flick and point, the two AI began their search. Every time the white square in Vance's vision lined up with a face, a quick beep sounded in Vance's ear before moving to the next. Every time the red square in his vision lined up with a face, another beep sounded, slightly different from the first. It wasn't long before the white square stopped moving, settling on the face of a young woman, probably in her early twenties. "Angel, is it just me or does Zero have a thing for young people?" Vance jokingly spat out, right as the red square stopped on a man in his late thirties to early forties, a long list of crime names scrolling down next to him. Vance was about to disregard the man completely when he notice the direction the man was walking in was the young woman that had been marked out to him and the fact that the woman was completely oblivious to the fact that a hardened criminal was heading her way. Vance gently cupped his head, breathing out a sigh of annoyance before making a move. "This day keeps getting better and better doesn't it?"

(B) Rush to the Man in hopes of bringing him to justice.

(D) Shout for the Man to freeze, because Vance is technically a cop.


(E) Leave, because Vance can't deal with this shit.
