    Birdie was raised by a single working mom. Well, and a whole lot of nannies that quit every few months. The quickest record was only couple hours; she was just bored and the nanny seemed like she would be a meanie, so Birdie set her suitcase on fire.
    Her mom raised her with an iron fist, and demands perfection from her. She would get ruthlessly criticized, even from an early age. She'd gave her a drawing of the two of them she made in kindergarten and her mom would give a two hour lecture on how she could improve her art. She never improved out of spite. Bridgette was signed up for every after-school lessons and clubs that was deemed beneficial, like mathematics, languages, and some sports. Though it was always clear she prefers the ones involving sports and fighting, not the ones in classrooms and lectures.
    Helena wasn't one to hold back her punches, either. In the name of discipline, she had never hesitate to hit her only daughter. And Bridgette never fought back physically. Helena wasn't always tough on her. She was nice whenever she had to bring Bridgette to important dinners, and Birdie complied, playing nice for a night, happy to have a kind mom for a full day. She was rarely home anyway, busy with her work. Birdie feels like Helena loves her work more than her. And her mom proved that over and over again. As she grew older, she just became a smart-mouth, and by the time she's 11 her mom just gave up on disciplining her altogether.
    Enter her teenage years, she started rebelling, hanging out with the "bad kids", smoking, drinking, coming home late, sometimes not until the next day. Though she never made any real friends, never included in the main groups and had to beg to be invited places. And she was devastated by that in the beginning. But she grew used to it, even sabotaging the friendships and relationships herself first before the other person had the chance to do it. She started self-harming, too, at one point. At first, it was purely another attempt at getting her mom's attention. Then it became a force of habit, and she couldn't quit. She grew to like the feeling of it, and she felt the compulsions to do it.
    No one was surprised when her aptitude test put her in dauntless. It was either that, or candor. Everyone knew she was going to dauntless that regardless of the result anyway, eager to escape her mom, and leave her life here behind.

Yet. She would get aggressive when something triggers her, only stopping just shy of doing irreparable damage.

Will try to engage in socializing with others, though she knows it probably won't last long, either they'd just hate her like people usually do, or she'd sabotage their relationship accidentally. She'd push people away, would feel hurt by her own actions, and then somehow convince herself that it was their fault and not hers. She doesn't know how to process her emotions and feelings healthily. Though she would be a loyal friend, would stay with you through thick or thin. She just wouldn't be a good one half the time, and no one had ever stuck with her long enough.
    Birdie is not judgy, you could tell her anything and she'd probably just shrug or laugh. She'd be chill with anything. Willing to try anything at least once. Appearance:
Charlie is, much like her name, petite, she is beautiful and has a soft appearance that catches people’s eyes more often than she'd like. She is not very tall, an unusual feature for someone in Dauntless, her skin is a few shades darker than both her mother, sister, and deceased father, one might not notice this right away, but it is something that seems to stand her apart from her family.

Her hair has changed in many ways throughout her life, she has experimented and had fun colouring and cutting it in different lengths, but recently she has done nothing to it and it sits somewhere past her shoulder blades down her back. The colouring may be perceived as black, but it is in fact a dark brown, and when in direct sunlight shades of red and gold may seem to bounce off it, inside and in dark areas however it does just seem to be a raven coloured black. Naturally it is a wavy texture, not curly or straight but with gentle beach waves, however she often ties it up into a bun while she is working, or into any hairstyle which gets it out of her face, as she needs to focus and doesn't want it in the way.

Her skin is smooth without many natural flaws to be seen, her face is round and soft and is free of any type of wrinkles or marks. her eyes are large and drawing, they are a dark chocolate brown and seem to hold in them such care and sadness at the same time. Her eyelashes are long and dark and give her eyes a seductive look although she never means this to be. Her lips can look pouty, they are often in a small smile, genuine yet if you looked closely, you would see slightly chapped lips from her anxiety and constant lip biting.

Her shoulders are not broad, and her stature is not of Dauntless kind, passive and ready to flee rather than a fighter; her fingers are gentle and soft, her waist comes in and her hips are not that large, she doesn't have the largest chest or posterior but has enough to give that gentle curvy silhouette. She has a skinnier body that is on the cusp of malnourishment. Charlie’s beauty is usually seen in her gentle innocence and sweet nature.

She tends to wear clothes that cover her body but also accentuate her hourglass bodytype and make her look cute. She often wears thin leggings or fishnet stockings, skirts, dresses (often with long sleeves) and jackets and boots. Usually she wears black and red as those are what she was brought up on, but she dreams of wearing more colourful, brighter and pastel colours. She likes to dress up for special occasions but usually chickens out at the last moment, when she does dress up she likes to wear long dresses that hug her body but flow at the bottom, she will either have long sleeves or a jacket, and will enjoy wearing heels.

If one were to glance at her bare skin under the clothes she wore, they would see the terrifying number of scars on her body. Littered along her torso are scars of multiple kinds, long, deep, short, shallow, treated, untreated, old, new… they seem to have been made by several things, and are not in any order, they are the work of something that did not care, a drunkard. Along her upper thighs are a number of scars, some again the same as those on the torso although at least a few seem possibly self-imposed, the worst one starts on her lower back goes across her left buttock and stops just underneath on her thigh. Her back too has what can be seen as bruises that never fade, or cuts and grazes that won't heal. Her arms though seem miraculously unbruised and uncut, most of the time.

Personality:
Sweet: Charlie could be one of the sweetest people to ever live. She has a spirit that seems unquenchably sweet, as if nothing in the world could cause her to become cruel or careless. She is loving, caring and altruistic, thinking about what others want and desire and doing her best to give that to them without harming herself too much. She is great at listening and caring about what you have to say, she is quiet and gentle and doesn’t try to push her own stories and burdens on others but keeps them to herself. She cannot help but think the best of people, and it takes a lot for her not to do so, under a handful of people being the only ones she has ever come to thing negatively of. She can be sickeningly sweet to some people, she loves to smile and greet others with warm and genuine words, she likes to share what she has and isn’t able to stand back if someone is hurt and needs help. She is empathetic and will heed to what others want even if its hurtful for herself. She cares so much about those close to her that it becomes the very thing that she lives for. She does everything with a gentle nature and a positive attitude.

Sensitive: Charlie has a very sensitive side, as someone who has gone through a huge chunk of her life in an abusive relationship with her father. She takes people’s words very seriously, and although that will not stop her from being kind and loving to those people, she will take it to heart and will remember it long after the person who said it has forgotten. This sensitivity often makes her anxious about things to do with those people, and even one sentence or implication will cause her to over think and change what she does and says around them. Smart: Charlie is a very intelligent person. She has always been good at studying, having picked up reading, writing and other academic subjects at a young age. She excelled at school and as she wasn’t built like a general Dauntless child she didn’t focus on her physique and spent most of her time reading. She is very well read, both in terms of fiction and non-fiction. For her own pleasure she likes to read romance novels especially Jane Austen style, and for her studies she mostly studies up on medical things. This intelligence is not only book smart, but she is quick minded and can be very good at making decisions and working on the spot with what she has. She is a very good medic and could have gone further in medical school if she had desired to. She is very quick with her ability to figure out solutions to problems and applies them with a serious nature, never losing that gentleness in her spirit though.

Strong: Charlie, although she may not be strong like Aubrey who can do whatever she wants at any time, or strong like most Dauntless members are in body, she is strong deep in her spirit. She can take an emotional beating and still give to those in need. She can take a physical beating and then spend all day and night caring for someone else. She can be up all night from night terrors and nightmares and then still spend every waking hour looking after everyone else. Phonophobia: Loud noises - Charlie hates hearing any loud noises, whether it's by surprise or not, it literally terrifies her, causing her to panic, to stop breathing properly and occasionally freeze in fear. This tends to come from when her father would yell at her and her mother.

Pyrophobia: Fire - Charlie hates things that naturally hurt people, and although fire does help in bringing light and heat, it also hurts a lot when out of control. She doesn't mind if the fire is inside and contained in something like a lamp or a sealed in fireplace, but if it isn't completely sealed she gets quite scared of its destructive qualities.

Entomophobia: Bugs - Charlie does not like bugs, and what she mainly fears is them crawling over her body. She gets this from when her father 'touched/s' her.

Acrophobia: Heights - Charlie has never liked heights, it terrifies her to the point of fainting if she looks down. She probably got this from how her father would strangle her and lift her off her feet, and it would make her fear when her legs can't touch the ground.

Backstory:
Charlie’s story starts before she was born, her mother being a recent transfer to Dauntless from Amity, and her father being a Dauntlessborn member who was quickly rising in the ranks. It was a romantic and sexual fling that ended as soon as Sasha (Charlie’s mother) told Jeremy (her father) that she was pregnant. At that point Jeremy left her life and told her to never talk to him again, that he wasn’t ready for children and never wanted them. Sasha was heartbroken, having always wanted a loving marriage and family, but had the child and raised her by herself, getting a job as a tattoo artist and hair stylist. While Charlie was very young, before she was a year old, Sasha met and soon married another man named Henry, a transfer from Erudite. Henry adopted Charlie and they made the decision to not tell her about it at least for the moment, there was no need to tell someone so young.

When Charlie was four years old Sasha had another girl, Aubrey. Charlie loved being an older sister, she adored Aubrey and looked after her like a second mother. The two were very close, and the four of them made a very happy family. Henry was a trainer and medic and so he appealed to both daughters. Charlie adored Henry and looked up to him as her role model. He taught her how to study, simple things with medicine and surgery, and he also spent time with Aubrey. Things were not to stay the same though, as when Charlie was 10 and Aubrey 6, a terrible illness spread through Dauntless. Henry was one of those who died in the epidemic and left Sasha with the two girls. It was a terribly sad time and the three grew even closer, Charlie delved into her studies and school, Sasha worked as much as she could to have enough money, and Aubrey although young dealt with it in her own ways. For the next few years they healed from their grief and life seemed okay.

When Charlie turned 13, Jeremy entered back into Sasha’s life. Now a Dauntless leader, Jeremy began to visit Sasha and force her to sleep with him and do whatever he wanted. Sasha tried to hide it from Charlie to begin with, but it was too hard, Charlie was too observant and eventually she ran into Sasha’s room when Jeremy was in there beating her, and began to try ripping him off of her. Jeremy then turned on Charlie, and took his first swing at her. Charlie remembers little from this interaction, she can still feel the pain in her cheek and the ache in her bones, and she can still smell the stink of alcohol as he breathed in her face and told her who he was. Her father. The news hit her hard, having believed Henry was her real father she struggled to believe this news, but also knew in her heart that it was true. From then on Jeremy slowly began to come to Sasha’s house to get to Charlie, rather than Sasha herself. She would try to hide, successfully at first, but as Jeremy got angrier and angrier, more drunk and more privileged, it became impossible to do so. Charlie found that if she hid, Jeremy would hurt her more when he found her, if she accepted his beatings, she would come out of it with slightly less pain. Charlie and Sasha knew that they had to keep Aubrey away, and Jeremy knew that too. He began to threaten Aubrey’s life, saying that if Sasha or Charlie told anyone, that he would hurt Aubrey. Thus it was not uncommon for Aubrey to spend almost every night at another house, unaware that her sister and mother were being abused almost every night.

This abuse lasted for several years, the older Charlie got, the worse Jeremy was. Neither Sasha or Charlie were strong enough to stand up to him, and he knew far too much about them for them to have any chance of getting help. Charlie explained away her bruises by claiming that she was preparing for initiation and training with her mom. When she was hospitalized for a particularly life threatening injury that Jeremy inflicted on her, she claimed that it was from falling out her window. Nobody caught on, and unfortunately Sasha could only watch helpless as Jeremy did what he liked with Charlie. Often he would take Charlie away from Sasha, or he would hurt Sasha so badly that she couldn’t get to Charlie even if she wanted to. When Charlie has nightmares of these moments, she has memories of Jeremy abusing her, but also of watching Jeremy abuse Sasha. The two tiny mercies that Charlie could take from these encounters was that Jeremy truly did stay away from Aubrey, and that although he did sexually abuse her he never forced her to actually sleep with him.

When Charlie turned 16, Jeremy stopped turning up for a while. Charlie didn’t know why but she hoped that it would be permanent. She joined Dauntless out of fear of Aubrey going through what she went through, and knew she had to stay to keep her safe. Her true dream was to live in Amity, but she felt too much obligation in Dauntless. However it was not an easy time. Charlie was in a terrible physical shape when initiation started, she was malnourished due to her eating disorders, and had little to no muscle mass due to the injuries inflicted by Jeremy. Yet somehow she managed to make two friends during the early days of initiation. One was Caspian, a childhood friend that Charlie had always had, but who grew closer only during initiation, and Alice a Candor transfer. The three were close friends and Caspian and Alice trained Charlie out of training hours to make sure she would pass the first phase. It wasn’t easy, Charlie was severely bullied by the other members of their initiation, and the trainers at the time had no desire to let her pass, as they thought she was not Dauntless potential. The bullying became so bad that Alice and Caspian had to almost escort her everywhere, as when Charlie was not with one of them then she would be physically bullied by the others. Right at the beginning of this phase, Caspian and Charlie grew so close that they began to date, and during the visiting ball Caspian got very drunk and forced Charlie to sleep with him. Caspian was horrified with what he had done, and promised not to do it again, but unfortunately he didn’t keep his promise, getting drunk some time later and doing it again to her. Charlie was already traumatised at this point from her father’s abuse, she had PTSD and an anxiety disorder and Caspian’s rape just added onto this. She truly did love him, and thought that he could eventually save her, but had no strength to push away from him when he was drunk. After dating a short while, Caspian fell in love with Alice, and Charlie watched as the man she loved and the man who had raped her wanted someone else. Charlie loved Alice too, and seeing that Alice loved Caspian back, she was not surprised when Caspian broke up with her, and found a way to be happy that at least Caspian and Alice were happier now.

The second and third phase of initiation were much better for Charlie, but she was still bullied, in fact because Caspian and Alice were so often together she was bullied even more. At the end of initiation, the night before, Caspian told her how he was going to propose to Alice. Little did they know that that very night Alice was being thrown into the chasm. They found her body the next day, and on the same day they found out they had passed initiation. Caspian had come first, and Charlie last. For many months they grieved Alice’s death and Charlie realized about 3 months later that she was pregnant. She wasn’t sure what to do with this knowledge, unable to imagine herself as a mother, especially when she knew that it had occurred from Caspian’s rape. This caused her to spiral even worse into depression and she lived in almost a constant solitude at home. Jeremy still came and hurt her, and she tried to resist but was unable to. Somehow Charlie was able to carry her baby to 9 months, although many times Jeremy beat her so bad that she feared she was going into premature labour. It did end up happening that Jeremy’s abuse is what caused her to go into labour, and sending Aubrey away for a while to stay with Finn’s family, Charlie gave birth to her son. She knew she couldn’t keep him, knowing that there was too high a likelihood of Jeremy hurting him, and also unable to think of herself as a mother at the age of 16, almost 17. She kept him with her for a few days, then went to Amity with her mother and gave him to her aunt. Her aunt swore to keep him safe and well and would adopt him into her own family and keep it a secret.

With Alice’s death, Jeremy’s abuse, Caspian’s rape, giving up her baby and all of it going unknown to those around her, she resorted to self-harm alongside her eating disorder, anxiety disorder, PTSD and depression. She pulled back from all social activities and thought she was going to die from what Jeremy was doing to her, at this point she didn’t even try to live. Yet somehow, as Caspian and her recovered from what had happened, they became close, and although they never got back their relationship, their friendship became inseparable. Charlie found that he inspired her to keep going, and because he knew what Jeremy was doing to her (she’d opened up to Alice and Caspian when they were in initiation), he was able to patch up her wounds and keep her occupied and force feed her. Charlie began to study medicine and study to become the medic, the same role her father had had.

Charlie met Bloom after the next initiation, and they became fast friends, she had much that she could only talk about with Bloom for a female perspective and an empathetic shoulder to cry on. Bloom began to be the reason that Charlie healed from much of the stuff she was holding on to in her life.

For this year, she was asked to be the medic for initiation, a new role that had occurred due to how many deaths had happened in the last initiation. She accepted, working alongside Caspian and a friend of his named Ghost, alongside other trainers that began to come and go.

PERSONALITY — Eden is a rather unconventional character, to say the least. She is known to be a creative thinker (which may be good or bad depending on the situation) and an open-minded individual. She is quite curious about the world around her and enjoys engaging in new activities and experiencing new things. In other words, she has an adventurous personality. Moreover, she truly relishes living in the moment and tends to be a bit spontaneous. She acts on what she is feeling or thinking at that moment and does not typically enjoy planning things out. Her lack of planning and preparedness in general and her inclination towards acting without thinking things fully through can sometimes get her in trouble, or get others into trouble. Even so, Eden is a girl who does not like being controlled or manipulated into doing anything she does not want to. She is a rather conflict-averse individual, so she'll probably do most of what is asked of her for the sake of keeping the peace. However, again, she won't necessarily enjoy it. BACKGROUND — Eden Beausoleil was the only daughter and the second child of Marcel and Zahra Beausoleil. She lived a rather comfortable life in her faction compared to others due to the influential roles her parents played in society within the democratic society. Her father was a counselor, and her mother was a musician, but they both also helped out in the fields. While she did not have many blood relatives growing up, her parents developed many fictive kinships over the years as a result of their involvement in the community. Her family was the picture-perfect image of Amity—or at least, that was true on the surface. However, growing up in a faction that values harmony and happiness, Eden was quick to learn that not everything is what it seems. After all, with maintaining a harmonious community came deceptions and secrets.
Despite her living circumstances, Eden spent a lot of her childhood alone. Although she had always fit the description of a typical individual who hailed from Amity, she lacked extraversion and had always struggled to connect to her community. Instead of socializing and building close connections to others, Eden dabbled in many things and enjoyed picking up new skills or talents like learning how to play different instruments or working with different art mediums. She, however, particularly favored reading and always had her nose in whatever books she could acquire as a child. The one person she was probably closest with growing up was her elder brother, Salim. Salim was like her in regards to being more introverted and often existed in his world. Naturally, despite their five-year age gap, the two of them stuck together in her early childhood.
Her spontaneity and taste for adventure created some disarray in a faction that valued harmony. She often got into trouble even though her actions were usually innocent in nature. Although her parents would lecture her for her “unruly” behavior, Eden never faced any sort of harsh punishments. Instead, her parents established an odd method of “dealing with her” by sitting her down and having her share a piece of bread or some little snack with them. Her parents claimed that it was their way of calming down the situation. (WIP)

Personality: Wolfgang is very arrogant at first and definitely comes off this way to most if not all people. He is extremely dark in terms of his behavior and has an air of mystery and sensuality about him that makes him draw people in. Wolf is seen handling things with a beautiful and remarkable way of how he does so. Considering the way he handles things are usually courteous to a point it seems sarcastic,a certain level of casualness and grace depending on the situation. Now Wolfgang can be very brutal with his words his tongue sharp and deadly often leaving others hurting with mere words alone. However this is just one of his many masks underneath the asshole persona lies his true self a kind and rather generous person. Though if you thought he was a goody goody you would be wrong he is a flirt and enjoys the thrill of the chase. He’s also very skilled in lies, trickery and deception pretty common amongst his people also how he was raised. However, even though he acts careless and cruel, he does really care about certain things and will do anything, and sacrifice anything, to keep them safe and unharmed. He loves those he cares about with such a passion he would do anything to keep them safe. He’s the type of man who you would never think that of from his usual crass nature and tone of voice. Wolf to strangers comes of as one of the most arrogant of assholes deemed to walk the earth. However, beneath the mask of coldness he seems to always portray, he loves very fiercely and passionately for the people he really cares about.

•Blunt - He’s not one to mince words. He tells you like it is unless it’s something that needs to remain hidden. He doesn’t even soften his words for his family which can often make him seem like his mother who was just as blunt.
