Personality: Rex has been spoiled rotten and it shows. He doesn't have any particular notion that purebloods are better than anyone else but that doesn't stop him from being quite conceited. He thinks he's pretty damn awesome - especially when it comes to Quidditch, athletics, or dueling - and it's quite evident. He's also rather used to getting his way and getting anything material that he wants. This isn't to say he will force his way it's just that he'll get upset about it. He's also just rather self-absorbed. He's not focused on any bigger issues in life. Instead, his main focus is on having fun and enjoying himself in the moment. He's the kind who likes partying and drinking and kissing guys, regardless of what it does for his reputation. But then, he generally acts on feeling rather than thinking things through. He sometimes accidentally causes harm because he just doesn't realize that will be the result of his actions. Rex loves sports and athletics. He's a beater and Quidditch is probably his favorite thing in the world. But he likes other sports, too. He loves climbing, be it trees or cliffs.

All that being said, Rex also has a big heart. Like his mother, he is absolutely brimming over with love. He gives it out like he's got plenty to spare - and he does. He's very affectionate with his friends, he has the capacity to love many partners romantically, and he even shows platonic love towards strangers. His love is unconditional and there is nothing you can do to lose it. This is exemplified in his relationship with Levi, who he often fights with but in the end will always love and come back to. Rex feels things strongly, be it love or anger. But he will never intentionally hurt someone. Rex is a very protective person who hates to see people being hurt. He will stand up for people, no matter who they are or whether he knows them or not. But - at least for now - this is really only something that comes out in immediacy. He's not about to try to make changes in the world to help people because that would require thinking long term and seeing the ongoing harm that happens even when he's not present. But he's also not about to sit there while you bully someone in front of him. He's a talented duelist, Defense Against the Dark Arts being really the only subject he excels in.

Family: Parents are Flora and Otis. Cousins are Levi (his best friend) and Lori.
Backstory: Rex's upbringing was the polar opposite of his cousins'. Rex was an only child born to parents who struggled for years to be able to have a kid before they finally managed to have him. His parents weren't the wealthiest of purebloods and his dad actually works at the Ministry. But they still had more than enough money to spoil Rex rotten. Anything Rex wanted, he got. He always had the best of everything. His parents were also very loving. His father thinks he's the best human ever to grace the planet and his mother is all but bursting with love. His mother at least made some efforts to teach him right from wrong but she never was the best disciplinarian. Flora and Otis were never the biggest pureblood supremacists. They didn't do anything to change the situation but nor did they believe themselves to be innately superior.

Rex was very close from Levi from a young age. But Levi was always a good secret keeper and Rex not the best at figuring things out so he didn't have the faintest clue what was happening for Levi at home. If he had, he would have gone to fight his aunt and uncle himself, even as a kid. He still has no clue how bad things were though he imagines Levi and Lori had their reasons for wanting to leave. Rex has a lot of love for Lori as well, now that he's gotten to know her. But Levi will forever be his best friend.

  Many go about their lives without questioning the world around them. The people with power and authority provide conventional wisdom and predetermined rules to maintain order. Parents teach children to act in their image, greatly influencing their decision-making and morals. People adhere to societal norms and don't stop to think how even their sense of normality has been chosen for them. Nestoria questions it all, constantly acting out against the forces trying to control her life and striving to pave her own path.
  
  Though she prioritizes rationality and success over popularity, it is that very mindset that has earned her a reputation amongst her peers. Her fear of incompetency pushes her to consistently strive for high marks in any class on her itinerary, making her a fierce academic competitor. She often finds herself spending her free time studying Herbology textbooks or nose-deep in a piece of literature. Being on top is important to her, and those who don't put in as much effort as she does are viewed as intellectually inferior. Unfortunately, this mentality has its faults. It's proven difficult for students to form any sort of relationship with Nestoria, leaving her with a small, but beloved, group of friends and an increasingly declining roster of pureblood bachelors/bachelorettes.
  
  In all truth, Nestoria has little interest in wasting her time finding a potential life partner just to appease her parents' goal of preserving their high-status family legacy. They've tried arranging marriages a multitude of times without the input of their daughter's opinion, all of which have been thwarted by Nestoria's schemes to drive these potential mates away. If she's to be married unwillingly, she swears to at least fight for a say in who that lifelong partner will be.

  Description

  Years ago, she stumbled across a pair of abandoned raven chicks that had wandered far from their nest. With no mother or siblings within sight, she begrudgingly adopted the hatchlings and nursed them back to health. She originally planned on releasing the birds once they were strong enough, but she grew fond of them and eventually, they became inseparable. Because of their strong bond, she acquired the ability to communicate with them, successfully turning them into a sort of extension of herself and acting as her all-seeing eyes.

  Nestoria believes marriage is pointless and a waste of time; though, this could be a cynical point of view produced by her social ineptness and observation of her parents' affectionless marriage. Deep down she hopes someone can prove this sentiment wrong and show her that lifelong romantic relationships are not only possible but beneficial to both parties. Until then, however, she will remain averse to the idea and strive to further prove her success as an independent and strong individual.

  Nestoria stands at a whopping 5'4" with deep greyish blue eyes that resemble looking at the clouds in the sky before a peaceful morning rain. The ashe brown hair that sweeps and perfectly frames her face matches well with her cool-toned, pale skin. Faceclaim: Adelaide Kane.

  The Lenoirs is a well-known, high-ranking pureblood family whose rise to power proved their members to be resourceful and magically inclined. Kathline and Gabriel Lenoir had been betrothed to one another since before birth and their family's values were instilled in them at a young age. Neither ever had a chance to explore their dating pool, so it's debatable whether or not they even know what love is. Producing offspring was a necessity and once Kathline showed signs of pregnancy the couple prayed for the gift of a son. Much to their dismay, they were given Nestoria Denise Lenoir. Being an unwanted only child had its downsides. Her parents put an exorbitant amount of pressure on her not to be a disappointment to the family and have vocalized their wavering confidence in her usefulness.
  
  They saw their daughter as a casualty. As a child, she constantly strived to gain their approval and live up to their standards, even if she knew they were unachievable and cruel. Her mother was the hardest to impress. Nestoria would often find herself bending over backward only to be greeted by her mother's frustration and disapproval. Eventually, the Lenoirs gave up on Nestoria and deemed marriage her only use in maintaining the family legacy. This led her to a realization: It didn't matter how many awards she won, how good her grades were, or how many skills she acquired. Nothing she did would ever be good enough for them.
  
  Nowadays, Nestoria tries to distance herself from her family. She exercises her independence and often acts out against her parents' wishes, further dividing them. She constantly strives to be the best she can be in order to prove to her parents that she can become ten times the wizardess they think her to be.

Personality: Alice is a Hufflepuff through and through, especially when it comes to her loyalty. She takes this value perhaps a little too far, making it both her best and worst trait. She doesn't give her loyalty to just anyone but once you have it, you have it for life. There is nothing you can do to make her turn her back on you, even when she really should. Alice's kindness is almost as extreme and, unlike her loyalty, it is given to anyone and everyone. She would do anything and give up anything to help others, even total strangers. She sees the best in everyone and believes strongly that everyone has the capacity for good. Her desire to believe the best in people can sometimes make her a little naive. She's also a hard worker who actually enjoys studying. She has a natural knack for Herbology but most subjects she's pretty average at, but she works hard enough to be among the top in her class.

Alice dreams of freedom. She loves to fly and really wants to play Quidditch but her parents won't let her because they say it's not 'lady-like.' She wants to be free to marry whomever she loves, and to speak her mind. But Alice is too loyal to her parents to defy them. Plus, she is, at heart, a rule follower. She needs structures and routines to shape the world and her existence in it, and that means there needs to be rules. She absolutely hates breaking rules no matter how stupid the rule is or how much she dislikes the rule, sometimes getting near panic attacks over it. Alice thinks herself something of a coward for this (and the fact that she really struggles to stand up to people) and wishes she were more like her best friend, Cassie.

Strengths: Fiercely loyal and exceptionally kind and giving. She's the kind of person who will sacrifice anything and everything for others, even total strangers. She's full of love. She isn't the most brilliant person in the world but she's smart enough and a very hard worker, which combines to make her excel at her studies. She is the type to think things through.
Weaknesses: Loyal to a literal fault - she will stand by you no matter what you do to her or others, even when she shouldn't. She's not very good at standing up to people, even for herself. She hates breaking rules and struggles to do so even when she knows it's for the best - it stresses her out to the point of panicking. She can be a little shy. She sometimes gets caught up in gossip - never mean gossip but 'who's with who' kind of gossip. She can be rather naive.

Backstory: The only girl born to the Crouches, Alice was fiercely loved and protected but also tightly controlled. She had strict rules that she had to follow to not only keep her safe but to help secure her future prospects. Alice was fairly isolated before Hogwarts. She attended big balls and events on occasion but she wasn't permitted to be alone with anyone who wasn't in the immediate family. As a result, Hogwarts was something of a shock to her. But she loved the freedom it granted her. She didn't break any of the rules in place for her, but even so she was in a position to make friends for once and to have a little more control over her life. She met Cassie on the train to Hogwarts and they became fast friends. The hardest thing in Alice's life is when Cassie was disowned. Alice wanted to offer her a place to live but her parents refused. In fact, they insisted she cut all ties with her friend. She was put in the worst place Alice knows of - choosing between two people she loved. She chose Cassie, in large part because she knew that she wouldn't lose her parents altogether if she disobeyed. She hates breaking a rule they've put in place but she'd hate losing Cassie more.

  Elina is a free spirit gliding through life with wonder and an almost overbearing level of optimism. Any situation she's thrown in is treated with confidence, for her belief in happy endings remains unwavering even when faced with danger. Believing there is always a bright side has its perks; however, it can become a very dangerous notion when faced with distressing and highly complex issues. For example, many times she has maintained her positive attitude in an attempt to ignore her own dark and depressing feelings instead of addressing the matter at hand. This sort of personality trait can feel annoying or insensitive to some, depending on the situation, but to others, it's a breath of fresh air. Either way, she refuses to let anyone or anything destroy her sense of hope. If she were to lose that, she would lose herself.
  
  Her reputation is very well-kept, and many students acknowledge her incredibly passionate nature. Maybe she helped you cheer up when you were feeling down? Practiced your speech with you to cure your stage fright? Acted as wingman to set you up on a date with your crush? Hogwarts attendees can tell she means well and that her actions come from a place of great care for those around her.   Elina never really stops to think about the future, much less her inevitable need to marry. She prefers to be present in the moment and focus on what's right in front of her. However, when the time does come, she really hopes for a love match. Her parents always seemed so devoted to each other and she yearns to experience a bond as strong as theirs. Disappointment would arise should she have to marry someone incapable of meeting this standard, but she understands the importance of conserving her family's status and cannot fathom acting out against her parents' wishes.

  On a warm summer day, a beautiful woman stood idle in the mangled, unkempt embrace of the Earth's fertile lands. Her attention was stolen by the fluffy figures that danced in the afternoon sky, creating figures beyond one's imagination. A soft breeze whirled through the clearing and wafted the sweet scent of blooming flowers into the air. Her stillness allowed nature's residents to carry about their daily activities without interruption, feeling safe in her presence. The scene was comparable to that of a fairy tale, almost too good to be true. That woman was Francesca Santiago. As soon as his eyes fell upon her at that moment, Dante Caraballo knew he had found the love of his life.
  
  Five years later and with two kids already, the couple gave birth to Elina, the only daughter of the Caraballos. With her childhood filled with love, enrichment, and the occasional sibling rivalry, it was easy for her to adopt a personality befitting of such an environment. Her parents made sure to teach her the importance of exercising kindness and humility in a world crawling with negativity. They also preached that thinking too high of yourself would cause your ultimate demise and everyone should be treated with an equal amount of respect, even if they don't deserve it. One can argue that this is where Elina's people-pleasing habit stems from, influencing her to treat everyone with the same amount of kindness no matter what.
  
  Elina adores her parents and wants nothing more than to live her life as they once did when they were younger. The stories of their youth inspire her and fill her with a sense of hope; additionally, their soulmate esc love story provides a romantic standard that she hopes to achieve when the time comes.
