━━━━━❖━━━━━

Out from the depths of hell will appear a slime, multiple slimes. However, these aren't any ordinary slimes, no! These are slimes that have the ability to learn. At the bottom of one of the largest cave, somewhere remote in the world, these little slimes will have to learn how to get out all on their own.

(Please roleplay your journey to becoming a small town. Please eat and devour someone, make up creatures with skills and eat them, find and name creatures, again be creative and make them up!)

━━━━━❖━━━━━
A slime will appear in a cave. It won't be able to see or hear, just feel and hunger. It will begin by eating everything near it. Pebbles, gravel, dust, most things you'd expect to find at the bottom of a cave. It will do this eating everything it can, for months. Until it will eventually stumble upon a room with actual living things inside it. The slime will devour these living things and finally obtain the ability to see, hear, smell and taste. One of the first skills the slime gains is rock skin and fire breath from a lava golem. Making its way out of the cave eventually the slime with travel eating everything in its path. Flora, insects, wildlife and eventually... a human. The slime will eventually travel to a army campsite and eat the human Triston Gray. Everything will be absorbed by the slime, including Triston's memories and personality. Triston Gray himself has essentially became the slime.

He has acquired many new skills, he now has a lot of knowledge on dirt, pebbles, and random monster anatomy. Then he remembers being a slime, he remembers eating himself. Triston will despair after realizing he had been ate by a slime and is no longer human. Not to startle the other soldiers nearby, Triston will try to calm himself down. Suddenly, coming into his army tent is another soldier one of Triston's friends. They'll talk about normal army things and discuss their current plans. Apparently an opposing squad is supposed to attack a nearby fort in hunt of treasure. We're supposed to stop them!

After heading to the fort and setting up Triston decides to try out some of his new powers and is caught by his friend. He explains everything to his friend, his friend doesn't know what to think. The squad arrives and they break out into a fight, Triston's friend is about to be killed and instinctively is ate and consumed by Triston. Triston gains the strength of the man he just ate. Triston's friend still lie on the ground injured, Triston tries applying pressure and waiting for a medic but it won't be enough... so Triston tries something, he puts his hand over the womb and transforms his palm into slime, the slime eats away the infection, dirt and blood and heals the wound. Amazing! Triston's friend is even more dumbfounded but will keep his friends secret safe.

Quickly the men hurry into the fort, as the entryway is too small for the beast. Here they can fire arrows and explosives at the beast. However, all of the attacks didn't leave a dent on it, only made it more angry. The beast will roar and let out words,"I am Iron Bark, ancient ruler of the tree folk, bow to me!" The men will use magic and request for backup and wait. When backup arrives they'll be able to fight the beast more easily. However Triston had other things in mind. To fight the beast himself. He'll run out despite all the pleas from his fellow squadron. He'll blast the beast with a fireball and use an ability: iron skin. The beast will roar, boulders will magically lift out of the ground around the golem, an attack. It is no use, Triston uses fire magic that he acquired from the beasts deep in the first cave he came from. If he could absorb those beasts, surely can can absorb this one... however, he wants to try giving it a name. From all the things he has consumed his mana is quite large. He has the capacity to give something a name, why not try it out on this golem.

Triston will cry out to the golem to surrender and he will give it a name. But of course it doesn't listen, only continues to attack. Suddenly the golem will put his hands to the earth and a massive earthquake will begin, shaking the ground. Out from the ground is tree roots and branches, all targeting Triston. Triston will use his animal like senses to evade the attacks, still pleading to the golem. Guess Triston is going to have to make it submit first. In the commotion of making the golem submit, Triston accidently kills it.

Thankful, all of his soldier friends will rush out of the fort and congratulate their friend on an amazing victory. They will even talk about how easy he made it look, since that thing was supposed to be an ancient ruler of tree folk. Triston figures he might as well absorb the golem while nobody is looking. Soon the reinforcements will arrive, however the forest golem has already been taken care of. So as you can imagine, the reinforcements are a bit upset, reinforcements are supposed to be called in during extreme emergencies. The squad leader of the platoon will explain how Triston easily defeated the beast. Taking interest in Triston, a woman will order him to return with them.

How did things end up like this so quickly? Arriving back at basecamp, Triston is greeted by a man in ebony armor, a general of the Rothdane Empire army. The two will talk about everything, Triston will be asked about his skill and how it increased so fast based off reports. Triston will say it was luck, the general seems to believe this. Releasing him from further questioning, Triston decides to go into the forest to test out his powers further. He absorbs everything he can: wildlife and plants and herbs. Gaining a few more skills, more mana, and knowledge. He can now make potions, but doesn't have any ingredients to make good potions. Suddenly though a wild beast known as a Kinu attacks Triston. Kinu are giant orc-like beasts with horns.

This would be the perfect time to experiment with giving a creature a name. Tarek, your name shall be Terek. A magical glow summons the confused creature (it didn't sign up for this) as it transforms into a new creature depending on how much mana Triston has, which is a lot. Triston has more mana that any average human, because every time he absorbs a living thing, even if it is an animal, he takes all of their mana and adds it to his mana pool, making his mana pool huge.
