Welcome! This is an interest check for a zombie apocalypse group role play. Keep in mind that this is a Roleplay that will be based off of relationships, building trust and community and noise.
With that being said, there are a few things that need to be clear before you take a look at the plot that I have written for this roleplay.
OOC rules
Before you submit a character, this roleplay is not a free-for-all open world.
The roleplay will follow a specific introduction and then flow into a more open type of world but at the beginning things will be structured and characters will be needed in specific places.
I will be controlling the hordes/solo zombies that will periodically show up to stir up more drama and suspense but know that I am always open to hearing ideas from my fellow role players. I like everyone to be involved, so the more brainstorming the merrier.
I expect characters to have diverse backgrounds. I don't want a roleplay where all the characters are striving to be the leader, or are all lone wolves or something. Please take time and care in writing your profiles for this roleplay.
There is a limited number of spots for this group rp. I will only be accepting 12 characters maximum. The minimum for me to start this roleplay is three. Until then it is properly open, we can discuss character relations, story… all of that.
There is no character sheet, you must come with your own. I do want these four things to be included: skills, background, stats(agility, stamina, strength, intellect etc..) and inventory(max 5 items). Your character can not start off with a firearm unless you are the leader of the community or a loner. Newcomers to the community forfeit all weapons unless out on a raid/supply run)
The plot:
Flesh Eaters.
Imagine it’s 2020 and everything anyone thought 2020 would be was severely wrong.
We called it the year of visionaries, but all it brought was violence and sadness… Heartbreak and contagion…
2020 was nothing anybody expected it to be…
We were all told that the first breakout of the virus was harmless and then it got out and it evolved. It spread far and wide until everyone was sick, then they came out with a cure, it was all way too fast but everyone was scared. The death toll of the virus was alarming.
Soon, we were forced a cure. An experimental drug called Lethazane, something nobody has ever heard of was pushed out by governments who were desperate.
They started in the slums. If the cure didn’t work, they could isolate the even sicker ones in a contamination area…
They were so wrong. It couldn’t be contained. Not then and especially not now.
When the cure was administered to the first volunteer, it spread through them like wildfire and burned away everything that made them human. It created an animal… A predator… A flesh eater with a contagious saliva that infects whatever it bites, including other humans.
It ravaged the world, diminishing the population by the millions.
Only small pockets of survivors are left and our story starts 5 years later with a few strangers, an odd community of survivors and a small horde moving in on them.
The characters:
The spots with titles can only be taken up by one person. Any others will be added by name and username until minimum spots are filled then a separate thread for profiles will be made.
The age of your character can not be under 16 or over 50. Any underage romance is not allowed and will be dealt with according to rpnation rules.
any newcomers in the community go through a trial period and until trusted won’t be told many inner community details.
