artemis.

- hello everyone, i'm artemis (she/her) and welcome to my new search thread! i'm an eighteen year old student looking for some more things to write in my downtime. i like to think i'm a fairly descriptive writer and generally write about 4-5 paragraphs (~500 words) per post. i'll still be a bit busy because of classes, extracurriculars, and my job, but i try to aim for at least one post a week. if not, i'll try to give some sort of warning. that being said, i'm quite talkative and frequently able to respond outside of rp if you ever need anything.
- 1. let's be friends! i find that my best rps have always been with partners i'm comfortable with. i love being able to talk to my partners, whether it be about the rp or other random matters.
2. i enjoy plot-heavy stories with lots of character development. please help me with contributing to the plot because i really don't enjoy feeling like i'm speaking to a brick wall.
3. i prefer writing in pms, but i'm not completely opposed to threads.
4. i'm not expecting a whole novel, but i'd appreciate if you could write roughly the same amount as i do. writing for me is mostly all for fun, so don't worry about being the next shakespeare either!
5. i'm very supportive of characters of all sexualities, gender identities, and ethnicities. i will not tolerate any bigotry. adding to that, a lot of my characters will be poc because i am one.
6. i enjoy using realistic faceclaims. i don't require other people to use faceclaims, but if you do, i'd prefer if you also used realistic ones.
7. ghost-friendly. if you want to dip, feel free to, but a warning would be nice! - at the moment, none of my ideas are super fleshed out because i'd rather expand on these themes together to make something we'll both enjoy. if there's a particular role i have a preference for, i'll have it bolded and colored!
β rookie idols
admittedly i'm into a number of girl groups, but i actually want to do the exact opposite of glamorizing the idol industry. instead, i'd love to explore how stressful and inhuman the treatment of idols is, specifically by focusing on characters pre-debut. i was thinking we could have characters who are already training under a company but have monthly evaluations in which they vote each other out, or we could have our characters be participants of a survival show if we want the added stress of public perception. either way, i'd like to have our characters become friends and be each other's support systems amidst all the stress.
note: this will be entirely with ocs since i do not write real people. also, i'm perfectly fine if this stays platonic!
β modern gods
the pantheon of gods, of which muse a and muse b are a part of, have always walked among those of the mortal realm. gods rely on their dedicated followers for their power -- the more followers they have, the greater status they have among the pantheon. even the gods are threatened to vanish if they lose their relevance, thus driving them to answer their worshippers' prayers. muse a is a respected goddess with several worshippers, while muse b is a lesser goddess with quite a few worshippers in comparison. fearing the erasure of their existence, muse b approaches muse a, hoping she can learn how to steal the hearts of the public under muse a's wing.
pairings/tropes:
β kpop idol x idol (ocs only)
β hogwarts professor x professor (modern era)
β goddess x human (urban or medieval fantasy, i don't mind which)
β grim reaper x human that keeps avoiding death (urban fantasy)
β princess x assassin (medieval fantasy) - that's all for now! if anything interests you, feel free to send me a pm or reply below.
