Rules
1. All RpNation rules apply. Do I even have to say say it?
2. If a problem arises in OOC, take it to PM's. Preferably add me, too. Honestly, I just don't want arguments riddling the OOC if they occur. Discussions are fine and differing viewpoints make for great conversation, but keep others in consideration.
3. As the GM, I will have final say in decisions regarding the continuity of the narrative. When we get down to roleplaying, I love a good story. As a GM, I can and will enforce this to keep things fluid and free of errors.
4. Be active, but don't be pushy. My goal is a post cycle per week minimum. A "post cycle" simply means everyone in a scene having posted. I'm flexible on posting in that sometimes the same players may post 2-3 times in a cycle without hurting anything, but I'm extremely strict when multi-posts or even single posts cut into potential reactions and start to make a timeline more rigid. In short, all things in moderation. Avoid over-activity as much as under-activity.
5. My IC is flexible. Some people ascribe to the idea that "once a post is made, it's set in stone (or must be edited)" and I am on the complete opposite side of that camp. In reference to rules 3 and 4, I'm a fan of the story and I don't necessarily like things being rigid. Up front, I'm making it a rule that my IC allows interrupts, soft retcons, and open-ended responses. That said, please only do these in moderation and when in doubt, ask. While this rule may seem to lend itself to power-playing and replies, abusing it is perhaps the fastest way for me to remove a player.
6. Keep a positive and curious attitude. Seriously, just don't be a dick. Ask over assuming. Speak over stewing. Vent over exploding. Everyone is here to enjoy themselves!
7. All IC posts must include an informative side code. This code should include tags for relevant players and a general location. Think of this as a quick-reference guide for every post. You may add any additional information you want as long as it does not cause any contradictions.

5.a An "interrupt" refers to a post stopping or otherwise altering an event occurring in a previous post. This can range from an action to a verbal comment. Please use these sparingly and communicate with the original poster. Verbal interrupts for dramatic effect are fun, but if they completely rewrite the bulk of a post due to their placement, it may not be a good candidate. Interrupts in combat likewise need to be for flare, fun, and creativity, not necessarily strategy or power play.
5.b A "soft retcon" refers to slight changes in the events that were described in a previous post. Unlike an interrupt, this tool is used for more minor changes that don't completely alter the end-result. The guidelines for soft retcons are essentially the same for interrupts.
5.c Open-ended responses are perhaps some of the best tools to truly utilize the interrupts and soft-retcons, if players choose to use them. Thus, open-ended replies are definitely allowed here. The goal is to create fluidity between posts.
5.d All techniques and guidelines here are optional to use proactively, but I do urge players to be open-minded to working with players that do wish to use them if they do not.
