Fandom Yugioh - Numbers Rising

Yeah, again, sorry for being so inactive but when your comp breaks down not much you can do

Krashkube Krashkube Yo, would it be alright if I made some slight changes to Sayaka's deck? I figured she didn't need that many Gagaga monsters, so I felt like changing it around like this:

Gagaga Head x 2 > x 1, replaced with Cardcar D x 1
Gagaga Magician x 3 > x 2, replaced with Tasuke Knight x 1
Gagaga Girl x 3 > x 2, replaced with One-Shot Wand x 1
Gagaga Sister x 3 > x 2, replaced with Dark Horizon x 1

Additionally, I'd like to propose two custom cards:

Desperate Stunt
[Normal Trap Card]
When a monster declares an attack: Target the attacking monster; Take Damage equal to half its ATK, negate that attack and end the Battle Phase.

Last-Chance Guard
[Normal Trap Card]
When either player would take damage from a card effect: Pay half your Life Points; that damage becomes 0. Neither player takes damage until the end of this turn.

- deck is barely readable, plus you can't have 4 spear dragons (max of any card is 3)

I think Hell Hound/Hellstorm effect should need a bit of a rework. The whole zombie consition is nice and all but summoning a stronger version that also includes a Harpie's Feather Duster effect is pretty insane. Now granted this is a text-based RP, consistency and what is not an issue. It should probably stand to reason that a rework is necessary.
 
Also a note: "Death" is a thing in the OCG, and it's always translated as either 'Doom' or 'Des' depending on the OCG spelling. TCG would never put the word 'Death' in their card lore. Similarly, 'Hell' is also always localized as something different. Example: Stygian.

It's why I made Antitopian's effect be called 'Dark-Wing Pressure' instead of 'Moon Pressure' because while the OCG calls Utopia's effect 'Moon Barrier', the TCG calls it 'Light-Wing Shield'.

I know this is ironic coming for me since I spent two pages ragging on Antitopian's localization, but consistency is important. Especially when cards are treated as other names for... no real reason.

Just call the cards in the archetype 'Infernal Doom/Infernal Des' and things will be a lot easier. It incorporates both a translation for 'Death' and 'Infernal' refers to the 'Hell' portion of some of the cards.

EDIT; So in my proposed re-name, it'd look something like:

Infernal Doom Hound

Infernal Doom Lancer / Infernal Doom Dragon / Infernal Doom Dragon Lancer

Infernal Doom Storm

Infernal Doom Saber

Infernal Doom Wall

Infernal Doom Dragon Cards (would personally call it something like Awakening of the Infernal Doom Dragon or Infernal Doom Awakening)

Errr... When I suggested those names, I did so in lieu of being able to dodge the 'Death' clause in their effects. Let me write up what I mean:

Also, you might want to make a little more cards or make this series a little more cohesive and synergetic. Requiring both Dragons and Zombies in the same deck is a little... weird? Dragon Lancer is off in its own little world while Hound and Storm only work with themselves. Wall and Saber are completely okay as support, though Awakening only being able to summon 1 specific card from the GY once makes it seem like a worse Call of the Haunted.

(yes I know it's ironic considering my custom cards are pretty bad, but they fill a niche no other cards really do for scripting a duel; being really good for protecting your partner in an anime-styled tag duel.)

Uuuuuh...

You do realise that everything I'm saying is because I'm trying to make them only work among themselves right? In the way I word things, 'Infernal Doom' is the archetype you use and only 'Infernal Doom' cards would be affected. As far as I'm aware, nothing in YGO currently is called 'Infernal Doom' so it wouldn't conflict with earlier existing cards, unlike 'Death' which would have to be localized as 'Des' for the TCG, of which a whole boatload of cards exist for. If you called your stuff 'Death' then you would actually accomplish the opposite of what you're describing.

Also, I'm saying to make 'Infernal Doom Dragon Lancer' work more with 'Infernal Doom Storm' and 'Infernal Doom Hound' as he seems incredibly out of place. For all intents and purposes, Dragon Lancer is a generic dragon card which will have little to do with Infernal Doom cards, especially since your 'Death' cards don't stick to one specific type.

Well, alongside what Young X said about nerfing Storm and Hound's effect, I'd make Infernal Doom Dragon Lancer and Awakening the Dragon of Doom more like this:
