In the near future, following the events of Arc-V, all is well with the world. Duel Monsters continues to grow and remain as the single most influential card game known to mankind. Sweeping into action a new generation of duelists that will be the heroes of tomorrow.

"That will be the last card you draw, I'm going to end you next turn."

"That's what you think. I activate the spell card Emergency Teleport. With this card, I can special summon one level 3 or lower Psychic Monster from my deck, so I summon Mental Seeker." A brilliant flash of light exploded from the turn player's side of the field as they summoned out a small monster to their side of the field. "Next I'll tune Mental Seeker with my Silent Psychic Wizard to Synchro Summon my Ace Card!!! Come forth and demonstrate your might, Psyframe Lord Zeta!!!" Silent Psychic Wizard burst into several glowing circles that surrounded Mental Seeker, who had turned itself into three glowing stars, and they lined up as the two monsters synchronized to become. A beam of light shot through their formation and from within emerged Psyframe Lord Zeta, a towering warrior surrounded in a mystical light surrounded by bolts of green lightning shooting from and around him. "In addition to this, the effect of my Silent Psychic Wizard activates, letting me summon the monster I removed from play earlier. So I summon, Esper Girl to my side of the field. When Esper Girl is summoned this way, I can banish a card from my deck and add it to my hand when Esper Girl is sent to the graveyard."

"Whatever, whatever...Wait you know how to synchro summon! First year's aren't supposed to know how to do that. That doesn't matter though, compared to my Ultimate Tyranno, your Psyframe Lord Zeta doesn't stand a chance."

"That's where you're wrong. Next I'll activate its effect, I can banish both this card and Ultimate Tyranno with its ability. Normally I wouldn't be able to do this since you would have to normal summon Ultimate Tyranno most of the time, but you pulled a fast one on me by using Foolish Burial and Monster Reborn to pull out Ultimate Tyranno quickly, luckily it left me this opening as I can now win this duel."

"You banished your own own 'Ace Card' how do you plan on winning off of that..." The turn player smirked with a cheeky smile coming across their face. Moments later, the crowd went wild as a no-name duelist wiped the floor with a renowned teacher at the Duel Academy.

"Ahh, well. Good game, this is what I get for using old cards in a new era. Heh."
I shake my opponent's hand, and walk off.
Well, because why not, might as well go duel someone else.
Outside, I'm completely unperturbed, but inside I realize I need new cards. Now, if I wish to win.
Machine types. Hm. Who to pick... Ancient Gears compliment my playstyle well.
Maybe get a booster sometime?

"Yoo, you there," Yuta said to the duelist who had seemed down on his luck, "I got you on a couple of these packs." Yuta handed the vendor some amount of cash in exchange for several packs. "I was looking to get some stuff too, and you seem to be looking for an upgrade." He handed the booster packs to the other duelist, and popped open his own, sifting through the cards to see what he got. "Well, you can't be lucky every time. However, actually I take that back. I'll give you these packs if we play, you don't even have to win, I just want to test the waters with this deck. Meet me out back, don't forget to bring your duel disk." The young man got up from his chair and exited through the backdoor of the card shop to the ring they had set up for duels. He then set his deck inside his duel disk, bringing the historic piece of equipment to life, shuffling the deck and pushing out the card zones in a semi-circle pattern.

Well, well, well.
Looks like someone wants to duel me. And what do you know? It's the duelist who took down the professor. This could be interesting.
I pick up my duel disk and head to where this duelist wants me to go. Let's see if my luck takes a turn here.
Once I get there, I shuffle my deck on front of my opponent and draw 5 cards.
(Limiter Removal, Giga Tech Wolf, Barrel Rock, Gear Golem the Moving Fortress, 7 Completed)

Anna over heard that there was a duel taking place behind the card shop, so she went to go see

"Alright, I'll start." Yuta drew his hand of 5 and looked at it. Foolish burial, Silent Psychic Wizard, Esper Girl, Psychic Feel Zone, and Psyframe Epsilon, this will be alright. "I activate the spell Foolish Burial, allowing me to send 1 card from my deck to the graveyard." He then pulled out Mental Seeker and placed it in the graveyard slot. "Now, I summon Silent Psychic Wizard. With its effect I can banish one Psychic Monster from my graveyard and summon that card when my wizard is sent to the graveyard. Silent Psychic Wizard then raised its staff and shocked the graveyard slot on Yuta's duel disk, sending a spirit flying from it into the wizard's staff. "With that I'll end my turn."

"this duel might not get that interesting, are you sure you wish to stay here and watch? We could go have a duel of our own" she heard Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon state

"you get bored too easily my friend, you should learn some patience" Black Luster Soldier replied

"guys come on, its nice to watch everyonce in a while, besides AG you'll get your time to play soon I promise, I just want to see how good these guys are" she smiled to her card spirits as she sat on the stone wall watching over the duel

"Hmmm, a psychic user? This could be interesting..."
I pick out Gear Golem the Moving Fortress, and set it on the field.
"I'll set a monster."
Looking at his own hand, he realized he had nothing else to do.
"Aaaand... that's it. I have nothing else I can play."
The sheepishness in the duelist's voice was apparent.

The duelist himself didn't recognize Anna was there.
But at that point, a Royal Guard quietly floating over Joe turned, spotted Anna, spotted Gadjiltron and BL Soldier, nodded, and went back to watching the duel.
Perhaps the oddest thing about this Royal Guard was that it didn't sport the usual blue, purple, and green colors. Instead, the robot was completely checkered in black and white.

"My turn, draw! I'll attack your face down card," Yuta declared. Silent Psychic moved to attack by striking the face down card with a bolt of lightning. The card flipped face up revealing Gear Golem. "Well this sucks," he said to himself, "well at least my wizard is safe for now, but I will take a hit to my life points. I will throw card face down and end my turn."

"I'll set another monster and a card (Blast Sphere and Limiter Removal)."

Mason was already watching the two duel when they started, the other seemingly putting up a formidable defense. Hopefully this doesn't drag out in a boring fashion but he believes both duelists have got more tricks up their own sleeves. He decided to stand near a girl watching the two, and thought a friendly conversation won't be too much of a bother.

"Hello, are these two friends of yours? They seem to have just begun." Mason said, looking at the field with one wizard on one side and a machine and a set monster on the other.

The holographic Duel Spirit of a Royal Guard was now watching Anna's Gadjiltron Dragon intently.
Despite its focus the spirit said nothing at all, before turning to Mason.

"Oh, very well then. I'll just watch them from over here..." Mason returned.

Not wanting to bother her too much, he inches away a bit and sits down too but is near enough so that he can hear the girl if she says anything. Suddenly, he could feel the presence of a being across the room, from a duelist. He isn't very spiritually inclined with monsters, so he couldn't be too sure.

"My turn!!!" Nice, Emergency Teleport Just In the nick of time. "I activated the spell card Emergency Teleport. I can special summon one level 3 or lower psychic monster from my deck, so I summon Psyframe Gear Beta. Next I tune my Psyframe Gear Beta with my Silent Psychic Wizard to Synchro Summon Magical Android. Now Silent Psychic Wizards effect activates summoning Mental Seeker from my banished zone. When Mental Seeker is summoned this way, I can randomly banish one of the top three cards of you deck. Now I tune my Magical Android and Mental Seeker to summon forth the strongest of my telepaths. I Synchro Summon Psyframe Lord Omega!!!"

"Now Attack his face down card. Psychokinetic Strike!!"

A faint grimace was spotted across the duelist's face. But when the facedown card was targeted, the grimace turned into a full on grin.
"Sorry pal, but the monster you're attacking is special."
The facedown card flipped to reveal a... red cartoony bomb on 5 metal spindly legs. The bomb jumped on Omega, and held.
"Blast Sphere here is special that if a monster attacks it face down, Blast Sphere equips itself on the monster attacking it before damage is calculated. Better do something. If you wait until next Standby phase, Blast Sphere will detonate, destroying BOTH Omega and Blast Sphere, and inflicts damage equal to the equipped monster's ATK directly to your LP."
"So, if you don't get Blast Sphere off Omega, both Omega and Blast Sphere will be destroyed and you take 2800 direct damage."

"Lucky for me, I activate Omega's Special Ability, I can banish him along with 1 random card from your hand until my next standby phase. At that time Omega returns to the field and so does the card I banish. Though fortunately for me, Blast Sphere can't follow Omega into his world. Next I activate my trap card, Psychic Overload, I can shuffle three psychic monster cards in my graveyard back into my deck and draw 2 cards. So I'll return Beta, Wizard, and Magical Android back to my deck." Yuta saw the two cards he drew and smiled. Psyframe Circuit and Beta again. Nice! "I activate the Field Spell Psyframe Circuit and end my turn."

Osamaru had been walking around close to the game store and decieded to watch the duel. A small wolf looking spirt trailing behind. A red dragon with razor sharp wings next to him. He stood in the shadows not wishing to duel just yet.

"Seems everyone has some duel spirits" she stated aloud

"agreed, but its a gift only a few posses" AG replied

"true" she smiled

It was a rather mesmerizing show of back and forth, as he sat jaw-dropped after each duelist's turn:

The duelist with the wizard seemed to have conjured a more powerful being, ready to strike. The other duelist also had a great defense, almost the perfect counter to remove that great monster. Even then, the opposing duelist had the exact effect he needed against that trap his foe pulled off, too. A great show of skill and knowing what their cards are capable of, and also both knowing to prepare for the worst. If he remembered correctly, the one with the Blast Sphere still had a set trap or magic card....

Although, he could only wonder what that field spell card will do. Mason isn't exactly familiar with both duelist's decks so he's relieved the duelists explain their card's effects respectively.

"Huh. Interesting. Not many people get Blast Sphere off once it activates."
As Omega vanished, so did Blast Sphere. Blast Sphere let out a scream that sounded suspiciously similar to this:

"Right, I'll draw."
Millennium Golem. Argh, now's not the time man!
I hear Fortress (the Millennium Golem) reply with "Look, I hear you needed a solid defense, alright?"
"Alright, alright..."
I watch as one of my cards vanish.
Giga Tech Wolf. Sigh, I needed that card.
But I can turn this around.
"Right. I'll tribute Gear Golem-"
The robot turned into a small orb and flew into the graveyatd.
"-and summon Millennium Golem."
2 temple doors appeared out of nowhere, which Golem pushed open.

Fortress
"'Scuse me, scuse me, big guy coming through!"
Aaand here I am. Nothing, eh?

"Alright, Fortress. Direct Attack! Ancient Takedown!"
Fortress' response is to fire a chest laser at Yuta.
"After that attack, I'll end my turn."
