  Personality: A distinct lack of proper social interaction makes Brunhilde rude and often times unnecessarily blunt. She views the majority of people as 'weirdos', never once stopping to consider that she herself was the strange one. This often results in her speaking to others in a dismissive or uninterested manner, often to the irritation of others. Though she claims to be largely disinterested in Duel Monsters, sometimes Brunhilde seems to enjoy it more than she would probably ever like to admit.
  
• Ridiculous, was it not?
  
  A society - a world - dominated by Duel Monsters. A deadly 'game' that had seeped its way into every corner of the world. The vestiges of ancient, magic rituals fabricated at the whims of ancient, long-dead Gods that bind the world and its people even today.
  
  All who live in this world know of the legendary King of Games. The heroic deeds of the Pharaoh and the guardian deities. The untold havoc left in the wake of Gods and ancient magics. And yet, enchanted by the mystique, their immeasurable might, it was nothing but inevitable that the people looked up to the King of Games and his mighty beasts as no less than legend.
  
  A lonely childhood. An empty home. A father who rarely returned home from his 'work'. Disillusioned, and bitter of Duel Monsters, Brunhilde was all too happy to watch in the sidelines, never playing a hand in this great game. But of course, as if the world playing upon her a cruel joke, she would sooner or later have to pick up her cards, regardless of her own choice or not.
  
  One night, her father suddenly stopped coming home.
  
  Initially, this was not so abnormal, for he had frequently slept the night in his lab, sometimes never returning for days on end. And yet, this time, as days turned to weeks, and weeks to months, and finally, an entire year. He had vanished - several missing persons investigations to no avail, and eventually, all people involved in the case had all but given up. Despite this, living expenses would be mailed to Brunhilde without fail - whose origins could never be traced to the original sender.
  
  That changed on her 18th birthday, where the mail that day instead contained two things; her father's deck, and a letter of handwriting she could not recognize, detailing extremely vague details related to her father's disappearance.
  
  And at that moment, she faced a choice. Brunhilde could ignore what was a blatant call to action that would lead down a shaky and uncertain road, or she could put it all behind and live her life.
  
  She wasn't particularly saddened by his disappearance; they barely talked, bearing a relationship closer to strangers under the same roof rather than father-and-daughter. And yet, compelled by a force she couldn't quite understand, Brunhilde picked up the cards.
  
  Why she ever picked them up, Brunhilde could never understand. Was her daily life simply that dull? Or, perhaps, deep down somewhere, she really cared.
  
  No matter. No matter the reason, this path must lead down an interesting journey, no?

  A peculiar being from a world 'born of a distant future long past', Link Decoder is a self-proclaimed 'guardian', on a solemn mission to rid certain 'malefactors'. He speaks of grand heroics, of herculean deeds, great triumphs and the glory of his sacred mission. Which all sounds very much absurd, when its coming from the (figurative) mouth of a tiny, marketable plushie sized mascot.
