I don't mind archetypes
Just make sure that there is room for character progression; it's normal for characters not to know summoning methods. I will provide opportunities for characters to obtain new cards and techniques.

I'm thinking it will be dual progression.... Since I'm used to the old way and things have changed, it'll be a learning curve and character progress on both ends here. I kinda remember a bit about synchro summon though, just the stuff after that Gen is new to me.

If allowed I might just Rp without dueling sites. Not against it, just having issues on my end with the two options and the work around have not yet been successful.

Otherwise I may have to step out of this one.

The old style of dueling was like the first I ever saw, giving how I grew up with the Original Series of Yu-Gi-Oh. But I've watched all the others aside from this one that the RP is based around. Out of them, aside from the first, Zexal has gotta be my favorite for some reason. Dunno why. XD

But the issues stem from downloading problems and the other site doesn't even show up on my device. So it's looking as if a written out duel with discussions on outcomes or perhaps skipping my guys duels and just mentioning them or some deal are my remaining options. That involve sticking it out with the Rp.

Duel nexus and some others I have seen are something I'm looking at as well.

GX was a really good series too. Another favorite of mine actually.

If the sites don't work, I think just writing out the duels would discussions on the outcome would be the best bet you can do. It worked for my friend and I in the past. But that's only if the owner of this will allow that to happen.

Any favorite character and deck types in GX or Zexal or any of the series? While we're on the topic. I miss that gen of yugioh, a lot of entertaining characters and awesome archetypes which really enchanced my preference and liking for themed decks.

Yeah, it's seeming as that will be my option unless nexus or that app yugioh generation (or something) turns up as possible. I think I've done some similar deals with other Rps but we'll see if bartek agrees or no.

I really like Jaden's deck, but I also think that Chazz has a pretty good one as well? As for Zexal, hands down it's gotta be Yuma. That kid is great and I love his relationship with Astral too.

I do hope Bartek agrees to it. Though they seem like a nice person, so I think they might at least consider it? Who knows for sure really. I think that's way easier than using a site to figure out the outcome of a duel. I think so long as you and the other person you're dueling with plan it out from start to finish will work just as fine. Regarding to that, I'm also thinking of making my own Yu-Gi-Oh themed RP and having it set in the Zexal timeline. I have a lot of ideas for it actually. Because we need more Yu-GI-Oh RPs on this site that's active. XD

I also need to finish Yasuo's character sheet. Whoops. I should get on that actually. XD Luckily it's about done. Just gotta put a few finishing touches here and there, then proof. My child will be complete.

Nice. Jadens deck was awesome one, while Chazzs deck was awesome too especially with the Ojamas within it. Yubel I don't know his deck all too well, but Yumas deck was alright. I liked the shark guys deck though.

But in GX mine were Alexis and Hassleberry for favorite characters. While the Ancient gear deck and Jadens deck were mine. I also liked Bastion and his decks and Syrus as well with his unique deck.
The toy soldier deck of (forgot his name. Desperouex?) was interesting too.

Yeah. In that outcome it would or could work if such planning was complete and agreed too. A yugioh Rp idea huh? Sounds interesting. But can't disagree, it's rare to see yugioh Rps on the site. I saw one after my return and joined it, but the Rp never went past a CS and Interesr check. But multiple Rps of yugioh and different eras would be cool. ^^

I've been stuck working out mine. I could possibly use my character from another Rp but adjust it to fit here. Or keep thinking of the idea I was working out, just need to find a cool themed deck for this Rps style of dueling.

Oh! Yubel! I was thinking that was the character in Arc: V for some reason. I was way off. I somehow forgot Yubel from GX. And I can't remember her deck either.

Haha awesome. If your posting it or end up posting, feel free to tag me and I'll show and check it out, I am still enough of a yugioh fan to try multiple styles/eras of yugioh Rp and with all the deck archetypes I want to try, it's a plus for me too.

I've been stuck because of the one deck limit I'm trying to stick too and finding one that I'll enjoy and could use in the newer era yugioh style. Otherwise I'd just go Ancient gear or recreate the water dragon deck of Bastions or oh! That guy with the alligator named Shirley, his deck was pretty cool too. Though I should probably set that on the side and settle on the character first and perhaps it will help solve the tough choice.

It's a bad habit of mine, I at times focus too much on a single aspect and trying to finish and perfect it or find that right one thats fun, that I end up coming to a dead end and pause.

I'm really, really sorry, but I don't think it'll work. Have you tried https://www.duelingbook.com/ ? It is a very good alternative, and I would much rather have people have actual duels than talk them out (which from experience, wasn't very fun for anyone). Due to the complexity of the game, literally any situation can happen; that is part of the charm, and one of the reasons I want our Duels to actually take place.

I apologise for the dejection.

However, you may still take part in the roleplay as a character that doesn't duel, if you so desire.
