I prefer My Chemical Romance, or Black Veil Brides, mainly because they stand up for people like me. Their songs bring on a whole new perspective for me, and the songs are my escape, from the real world. The world only hurts you but the music brings life.

just this. i'm not sure where i'd be without bands like these, but it wouldn't be a pretty place. music is an escape from life, and the best musicians don't shy away from darkness because that's exactly what life is filled with.

I agree completely, it's bands like BVB, MCR, SWS, BMTH, P!ATD, and FIR, that make my life. and no one can take that away, music never hurts us, it never judges, and it's always there.

exactly! all these bands have made me feel so much less alone. i've cried to them when i feel too broken to speak, and then it's those very songs that encourage me to dry my tears and keep fighting. whoever said this type of music makes people depressed is clueless because it does the literal opposite. also, you appear to have the exact same taste in music as me... i love every artist you mentioned.
