It was around the third week of college and Carter had already been late to class. Time management had never been a strong suit of his. He had a solid ten minutes to make it from his dorm to the other side of campus and be seated, or else he wouldn't be allowed to sit through the lecture today in English 101 and today would be a real shitty day to miss. They were apparently being assigned some huge project where you had to have a partner and being that he only had the class once a week, he was basically going to end up taking a 0 on a project if he didn't turn up. With his backpack on and his coffee in his other hand, he basically took off sprinting from the moment he opened up the dorm's door that led to the outside.
He made it to the class room with a solid three minutes to spare. He filed into the classroom along with the 200 other kids that were in the class and found an empty seat closer to the back. He kind of paid attention but in all honesty, he ended up going on his phone the majority of the time. Lectures killed him. He couldn't stand listening for the two hours they were stuck in there about stuff he didn't care about.
