Everything was supposed to be great, how did it end up like this?
First you wound up getting yourself sucked out of your world and trapped in this messed-up fantasy RPG nonsense world with wizards and rogues and everything you could imagine, AND you get told that you're meant to be some great hero who has to go save the world. Everything was going awesome! You and your band of merry followers cut down monsters and demons until you finally got to the Demon King's lair and slayed the great evil once and for all!
Unfortunately, the demons still won the war. You were tried and treated as a criminal for your actions- theft, murder, arson, everything you did in the name of good has come around to bite you. You were stripped of your gear and rank and even each and every last experience point, all taken to pay for 'reparations' for your crimes, and now no one wants anything to do with you anymore, not even your old followers. You don't have two copper pieces to rub together and everyone on the continent looks at you with scorn for what you did against the demons.
But you still gotta eat. On your way out of the capital for what should be the final time, the same city that summoned you in the first place and is now placing a 5-million GP cost on sending you back home, you're caught off guard by a shadowy figure jumping off the bridge and landing on the cobblestone road behind you.
She has hair of violet and a black blindfold over her eyes, her arms crossed and covered with tattoo script in a language you can't make out. "I say good riddance to the demons. Kill the lot of them. I mean, what good have they ever done for us? Hey, what say we work together to take them down? Send them back to Hell where they came."
Before you can process what this stranger is offering, a shadowy figure drops off of the bridge, landing much too softly for such a fall before rising to her full five-foot height. "No!" This one has dark skin and black hair, a living shadow made material. "Rule the demons! Show them who's boss! Eat the demons!" While the first girl is much more in-control of her actions, this one is more impulsive, practically barking at the other girl. "Rule over them!"
"End their existence."
"Crush them beneath your heel-"
"-and snuff them out."
Both girls turn to you, the one still with her arms crossed and the other has pulled out a knife. "After what they did to you, do you really want to live among them?" Both girls ask simultaneously.
Killing the demons will put the humans back in power- the same humans who ripped you out of your world and forced you to do all those deeds the demons decry you for doing, the same humans who surrendered to the demons on the very same day you killed the demon lord. The same humans who still call you a monster for what you did to the demons.
"Well? What will it be?" The girl with violet hair asks, "Kill the demons?"
"Or rule them?"
