Realistic or Modern You Promised to Be Careful

She came around some as they were heading inside and just grumbled a bit. “My chest hurts.” She told him quietly as he set her down, still leaning on him while they were in line to speak to reception. “I’m sorry... you’re missing your dinner for this.” She slurred a little

JD frowns and shakes his head. “It’s okay. Don’t even worry about that.” He murmurs and frowns. “Stay awake for me okay. You’re gonna be fine.”

“I’m really tired though... Jorge I wanna go home. It’s freezing in here. Where are we?” She asked him as they got to be second in the line.

JD frowns and shakes his head. “Come on babe just a little longer. We’re st the hospital remember.” He murmurs and pulls her closer. He was getting really worried now.

She frowned a bit and leaned on him a little more “Did you spill something on my shirt?” She asked quietly “Its all wet.” She was standing with her eyes closed so she couldn’t see it but there were red splotches appearing around where the original wound was before she collapsed against him, almost sending him to the floor as well.

JD frowns and looks down, seeing the blood staining her shirt. He almost tumbled over but catches both of them. He quickly picks her up and rushes past everyone. “She needs help now!”

The woman at reception quickly called for an emergency and they brought out a gurney, helping JD set her down on it while asking him several questions and letting him follow them to the emergency room for the moment so he could explain what happened but as she started seizing they quickly sent him out to the waiting room instead

JD frowns and starts pacing the waiting room. He was praying she would be okay. He knew she shouldn’t have left the hospital. He sighs and sinks down into a chair.

They called him through after a long wait and took him to her room. “We’re hoping that she’ll wake up fairly soon but she’s developed an infection in the wound. Whoever allowed her to be discharged should be seriously reviewed. I understand that she’s not got any insurance but she will be staying here now until she is 100% cleared to go home.” Her doctor assured him.

Jd smiles at the news and nods. “Thank you.” He murmurs and rushes over to her. He holds her hand and sits down beside her bed. “You’re gonna be fine baby.” He hears softly and watches her.

She eventually began waking up after a while and looked over at him frowning some. “Hey... what’s going on?” She mumbled trying to sit up and failing miserably.

JD smiles a little at her and gets her to lay back down. “Baby rest. You’re in the hospital. You got an infection. You’re staying her until you’re all healed.”

She frowned some and looked over at him. “Lay with me?” She asked him quietly. “Did they find that girl?” She asked him softly.

JD lays down beside her and holds her close. “Yeah they got her. Apparently before she told anyone but I’m not so sure about that part.” He murmurs and sighs. He holds her close and rubs her back.

She just nodded and leaned into him a little. “I feel like someone hit me with an 18-wheeler.” She mumbled tiredly, starting to fall asleep again.

She was up and down throughout the week but eventually got better enough to go home, the same day that JD was having to leave again just enjoying one last morning with him in her apartment while she curled up close to him on the couch. “You stay safe for me okay? As much as possible.” She murmured tiredly and rest her head against his shoulder, playing with his hands. She wasn’t sure if it would ever get easier having to say goodbye to him.

JD kisses her head softly and nods. “I will. I’ll be home before you can even miss me.” He murmurs softly and smiles at her. He hated leaving her and he swore it got harder everytime.

She smiled tiredly. “Well then you’re not allowed to leave cause I already miss you.” She murmured gently. “There. Just tell your captain I said no.” She smiled tiredly holding him tightly as she could.

“I know. I do too... I just hate that we wasted the whole time at the hospital.” She grumbled a little. “I mean we could’ve just stayed here and had soup and I would’ve been fine.” She mumbled.
