He looked over and nodded gesturing to the chair opposite. “You’re supposed to be enjoying some time off.” He frowned. “What do you need?”

JD looks at him as he takes a seat and sighs. "Do I really have to go back. I mean someones already made me for the rat. They're gonna kill me the minute I step back foot in there. We got them, you don't need me back in there."

He frowned and nodded. “Of course you do. We need new intel. They’ve lost one boss they’re gonna have to find another. They have no idea that you’re the rat we caught the girl last night. Hasn’t told anyone.” He assured him. “You’re our best man on the job. I hope having a girlfriend hasn’t gotten into your head this time.

JD frowns. "Sending me back in after a major sting like that isn't gonna go down well. I got arrested I shouldn't be out that quick. If I am they're gonna think I talked to get out. That's not gonna go well." He mutters and crosses his arms.

He frowned. “Do you think you didn’t earn their trust enough to go back? Jorge you will be fine.” He assured him. “Go home. Enjoy your vacation with your girl then come back to us refreshed. You’ll be fine after a break.” He assured him again then sent him home.

JD frowns and shakes his head. “Then I hope you know my blood will be on your hands.” He grumbles and leaves, slamming the door. He didn’t want to go back. There were so many risks each time he went back. He heads back to Carmen’s place and sighs.

Carmen looked up when she heard the door slam having been just about to shut her laptop as head to lay down again. “Hey... where’s you go?” She asked him

JD sighs and sinks onto the couch. “Went to go try to convince them sending me back in was a bad idea.” He mutters and rubs his face.

She frowned and watched him. “I take it that didn’t work.” She murmured and wandered over to him carefully, sitting down and rubbing his shoulders. “Hey... I believe you can do this Alright? You’re gonna be okay.” She murmured.

JD sighs soflty and kisses her cheek softly. “I hope so.” He murmurs softly and pulls her close.

She sighed a little and rest her head on his shoulder, slipping her arms around him gently. “You wanna just order pizza and watch a movie?” She asked quietly starting to feel not so great while she was cuddled up to him.

JD nods a little. “That’s fine.” He murmurs skftly and rubs her side softly. He kisses her head and rocks her gently. “I love you.” He murmurs softly.

She squirmed away a little as it was just a little too painful for him to be rubbing her side but stayed close to him on her good side. “I love you too papí” She murmured gently, “I promise to get insurance from now on though.” She murmured. “I was looking through it all today actually.”

JD quickly stops and frowns. “I’m sorry.” He murmurs and moves his arm to being stapled across the back of the couch. He sighs softly and nods a little.

She just smiled up at him a little and gave his hand a squeeze. “You mean everything to me you know that right?” She asked softly.

JD looks at her and sighs softly. “And you mean everything to me. I’m sorry.” He murmurs. “I promise I’ll try to come back for your birthday, even if it’s just a few hours.”

She frowned. “Why are you apologising? There’s nothing you can do babe. It’s not your fault at all and I don’t want you stressing out over it either.... if you can make it amazing. If you can’t then don’t worry.” She assured him, kissing his cheek before falling asleep curled up in his arms.

JD sighs and friend. He holds her close and plays with her hair gently.

She woke up in the early evening feeling awful and got up carefully seeing Jorge had gone out to get them some food according to the note he left but she wandered up to her bedroom and lay down, shivering a little despite raging a high fever at this point.

JD heads back to the apartment and see she wasn’t on the couch anymore. He puts the food on the kitchen table and goes up to her room. “Carmen?”

She was curled up in bed under her covers and breathing a little heavier than normal. “Hey... I’m not very hungry.” She told him quietly, shivering a little still.

JD frowns and goes over to her. He checks her forehead and shakes his head. She was burning up. “Come on babe. We need to get you to the hospital.”

She frowned and went to argue it but he was already lifting her up and she just nodded a little, leaning heavily on him while she got some shoes on and shuffled out to the car, just resting her head back and trying to stay alert. “What if they turn us away?” She mumbled once he started driving.

JD shakes his head. “They aren’t going to babe.” He murmurs and squeezes her hand gently. “Don’t worry so much.”

She frowned a bit but mumbled incoherently as she passed out in the passenger seat.
