the rebellious child, beatrix is the second eldest of five and the only daughter. she was close with her elder brother, always getting into trouble with him and coming home with scraped knees and sometimes broken bones. she never truly acted girly, and it just carried over as she got older. her parents weren't strict, they let her have all the freedom she could want and need - within reason. this led to a rather rebellious streak from a young age that just didn't go away. beatrix's attitude matches her aesthetic to a T. she doesn't like to let people get close and has a nasty habit of pushing people away when she needs them most. though honestly it all stems from the fear of being hurt and of falling in love

If she could cause a scene in any classroom then she would and she was always ready to defy authority. bea is always ready to give her professors a migraine and enjoys pulling mostly harmless pranks on other students. it's also common knowledge that this is bea's third school in the last two years - she got expelled from the previous two for fighting.

parker honestly lives by the saying "i'm here for a good time, not a long time". she doesn’t really mean to get herself into sticky situations, honest. it just happens. she doesn’t think much of the consequences her actions can lead her to, which just makes matters even worse. point is, parker really never thinks. she’s the girl who smokes out of a water bottle and rolls blunts in the rain, and does the occasional wake and bake. the girl who is always down to party as long as she's not the one throwing it. even with all of this, she has a way of never getting caught. when the cops come around the school doing random check ups, she somehow always manages to get a heads up and bring her dub in a bowl, or maybe even hide it in her bra. parker is an expert at hiding things, and when she does get caught, she’s a master of bullshitting her way out of it too. honestly, parker’s just a slick bitch.

parker usually comes to school stoned so it wouldn't be a surprise if she was late to graduation honestly. she's late to morning classes half the time anyway.

Reputation.

winging her way through school and life has always been easy for her. all she does is bullshit and use fancy words occasionally to show proper grammar, and hey, it usually works. like telling a teacher ‘i believe the corresponding angle is congruent to the supplementary acute angle which measures 65 degrees’. she just has a way of mixing words and muttering pure bullshit to get her out of trouble, and things just end up working out perfectly for her. she does have a reputation amongst the students as a resident partier, but she usually gets along with everyone.

What’s there to say about Joshua Jones? Not much to be honest.

Joshua came into this world just like any other child. Forced from the womb of his mother, ripped away from the comfort he had only known and thrashed into the dark world. Unlike most infants when born, he didn’t come out displaying his pair of lungs. The doctors feared from how calmly he came out. But, no, he was alive and well. It just seemed that Joshua Jones was just a child who barely made a sound.

As a baby, he rarely cried. Even when he was hungry, scared, or tired. He had his cues, but he barely made a sound. Other parents would often comment on how it must’ve been a dream to have such a quiet, calm, and placid baby. Andrew and Grace Jones would often exclaim their praises to Jehovah, thanking him for blessing them with such a child. However, the joy of having such a quiet son was overcast by the upcoming new addition to the family.

When Joshua was two, his sister, Mary, was born. She was the opposite of Joshua. She screamed at everything. Grace was often left in tears, unsure of what to do with her child who used her lungs for all it was worth. There was a burning sensation in her chest that could never be relieved, and Mary was just so curious as to why her parents couldn’t understand the amount of pain she was in. Their eldest, Simon, was left to keep the brothers in line while Grace and Andrew spent their time praying to Jehovah, ministering, and searching for answers on how to help Mary. So, Simon, 12 years old, was left to care for Matthew, who was eight, Aaron, who was six, and Joshua.

Now, we established before that Joshua only ever used his lungs for breathing. It was the same throughout his childhood. He had been taught from a young age to be present before others, but not to be known. To observe the things around him but not to add to the conversation or disrupt the vibe of the room. Especially while they were at the Kingdom Hall. His parents had been so caught up with caring for Mary and their mission on this Earth, that they didn’t even realise that at the age of four, Joshua was still struggling to get a single sentence out. They had only been notified of this after the school called them in for a meeting.

With their sixth child on their way into the world, they had to rally up those who attended the Kingdom Hall, asking for their prayers and donations so they could help their son with his speech. As they were Elders, they had their whole life dedicated to their teachings. They lived from whatever offerings came through the others at their Hall. At the age of five, just after his sister Martha was born, Joshua finally started to show some progress in his speech after seeing a speech therapist. But just because he had the means to use his voice now in such a way, didn’t mean he was sold on the fact of using it. He had liked the little bubble he had created for himself. No one expected anything from him because they tend to forget he was even there. There were such high expectations on his brothers who were all in the process of graduating and studying. And on his sisters, his parents wanted to keep them safe from the prying eyes of the man in this world. For Josh? Well, he was just… there.

He somehow managed to create a safe, secure friendship circle with some of the children at school. Maybe it was because children took pity on him, or maybe it was because they knew that he wouldn’t fight back if they tried to cuss him out for anything. He just seemed like one of those children you could easily manipulate. But those friendships were crushed by the heel of his parents, explaining to him that he was not of this world, and he wasn’t supposed to be making friends with people of this world. Is that why he felt this way? Like he felt like he was just meant to sit back and observe the world around him rather than participate? Children are school were going to birthday parties, hanging out on the weekends, and creating their own inside jokes and messages. Was he destined to live a life where he was to simply watch others enjoy the dark, filthy world they lived in before perishing?

Never trying to achieve for greatness and just always being there at school, Joshua is often compared to an NPC behind his back amongst the students at the school who take notice of him. Just another background character to fill up the space while the main characters go on their quests. Never on a quest on his own, and watching from the side lines.

Reputation.

Throughout his high school years, Joshua has remained a wallflower. Observing others, and never really making a name for himself. At the mention of his name, people were often left with a dry, unsatisfactory taste on their tongue, along with the response of oh? yeah, I... think I know him? He’s that guy who sits in the middle row in class, right?. There was nothing exciting about Joshua Jones. He got satisfactory grades, did satisfactory work, and dressed satisfactorily.

He was never compared to anyone else because, honestly, who would want to aim for the middle bar? Those who knew of him, never wanted to interact in fear of getting "converted". And those who don't know him, have zero to no interest in wanting to attempt to spend time with someone as plain as Joshua Jones

Rebellious, Manipulative, Alluring and highly Cunning. Alex has no issues with using her words or body to get something she wants. Reckless to a high degree it is obvious that the girl lives with a death wish. "Live fast die pretty" is her motto.

A Father in jail for killing his best friend for getting too handsy with his young daughter, a cold and distant , alcoholic and drug fuelled mother who blamed her for what happened and a revolving door of slimy abusive men (the mother's conquests) is it any wonder Alex is the way that she is, finding her only relief from the torment that is her life in alcohol, drugs or fights.

Alex is someone that you just don't approach unless you have too. Life of the party that doesn't seem to know when to quit and its rare to find her sober. Her normal expression is one of boredom and distain purposely to stop unwanted people approaching her.

A Curious, Artsy and Active soul, Beth is immensely intelligent and enjoys solving mysteries, a regular murder podcast listener. Outspoken, rebellious and spontaneous you never know what shes going to do next and she prefers it that way. The type of girl to act first and think later.

Beth is extremely honest, often times saying it exactly how it is. It is almost as though the words fall out before her brain has time to comprehend her thoughts. Beth has a strong penchant for sarcastic quips, using it almost like a shield to hide behind.

A free spirit through and through. The word "scatterbrained" has been used to describe her but she means well in her actions. She can be quite goofy and appears to not take herself too seriously.

She doesn't care for other peoples opinions or what other people think of her and so living her life how she chooses to.

She is an atsy kind of person and tends to express her emotions through tattoing her skin or doodling in her sketchpad.

She has a quite cynical outlook on life which feeds into her dark humor.

Unpredictable and confusing seem to go hand in hand with Beth. She blurts out words and sentences due to her ADHD. Likely to be a pro-skater but also a tattoo artist. She's friendly to a degree but she can also seem cold and harsh due to her being skeptical of new people.
