The Traveler's Ritual

PLAYERS
- Requires a minimum of one principal, who will become the Traveler through the process of these instruction
- All other principals in the play area will be ejected from the play area. The ritual does not usually allow for more than one principal.
REQUIREMENTS
- A second pair of shoes, sturdy (recommended)
- A drawing implement
- The vehicle
- This denotes the play area, which can only be a building all doors and windows closed, or a vehicle with two to four wheels with space to complete the written portion.
- Sawdust, a pound
- Alcohol, a drop
- Pins OR Nails, at least five
- Two hairs from the principal
- Materials of the primary ROYGBIV spectrum (Red, Orange, Yellow, green, Blue, Indigo, Violet)
INSTRUCTIONS
- The primary principal must not be wearing their chosen second pairs of shoes or not wearing any coverings on their feet.
- The principal must draw a four-point compass rose on the center of their chosen vehicle.
- Beginning on the northern point of the compass rose and moving clockwise, the principal must write 'Butterfield', then 'Australia', 'Omaha', and 'San Francisco'.
- The principal must place the sawdust, alcohol, pins or nails, and hairs at the center of the compass rose in the written order.
- The colored materials must be placed clockwise around the compass rose in the order of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet.
- Finally, the principal must step into their chosen pair of shoes, becoming the Traveler. This completes the ritual.
