Would prefer a longform partner with a little experience, and someone around the same age as me, if not 16+.Please comment below on this thread if you're interested! You can also DM me, but I may not see it and it's easier to refer to everything here, in one place.
NOTE: To find out more about myself and my preferences (of which there are not very many, so don't worry!), please check out the "ABOUT" section of this post. I would also like to establish that although I may not roleplay it, sex, drugs, and abuse may be alluded to. I like to explore the edges of the human psyche and philosophy through my roleplays, and to do that sometimes I will push characters to their absolute limits. If this is something that alarms you, I encourage you to avoid roleplaying with me altogether. Additionally, while romance might come to fruition, it will depend on the nature of the characters' interactions with one another and their chemistry. I'm open to both platonic and romantic relationship-building. Also, any of these could be adjusted to fit a group RP instead if so desired after some discussion. Without further ado, here are my cravings, ideas, and concepts I'm most excited about.
General "muse a" and "muse b" pairing preferences, with corresponding plots below:
1. runaway x runaway OR runaway x friend
2. angel x lost soul OR lost soul x lost soul
3. test subject x scientist OR test subject x test subject
4. investigator x investigator
5. soldier x hacktivist
6. spy x cyborg companion
7. pilot x technician
Concerning idea one involving runaways, this starts pretty simple, but I think it has a lot of room for growth. Two institutionalized patients at a hospital, attending to meet their demanding mental and physical needs, manage to escape the hospital grounds. They attempt to get as far as they can from the search parties and guardians which come after them, and may even seek refuge in dangerous places. How will they fare without proper care? Without their medication? Without anyone to rely on but one another?
The second idea is based on biblical ideas of purgatory, transformed into something a little different. When a colorful duo are sent to purgatory and await Godβs final judgement at the Pearly Gates, they are greeted with the cold stone walls of The Altar Casino and Resort. They have no friends, no family, and absolutely no memories. The gambling pit is filled with shifting faces, from patrolling angels to fellow mortals to the mysterious and ageless Lotus, who is the head of operations at the casino. The only way to reach the radiant walls of Heaven is to gamble back your memories, whether it be from the House or from other players. But with each gamble comes a price. Will you put the memories of your mortal life on the line to be judged in Godβs court? And when you do, will it be an eternity in Heaven, or damnation in Hell?
The third idea is science-fiction based, and it concerns civilization's collapse and the battle for Mars. Several groupings of people are raised and developed to have specific intellectual abilities and physical capabilities. They were born of extreme conditioning, raised to be the perfect humans to land on Mars first. But this is second of a group of two. There has already been a landing attempt on Mars, but it failed, killing all test subjects in the process-- all but one, Muse A. Muse B is a person from the second test subject group, while Muse A is a survivor knowledgeable about the dark underbelly of the project to land on Mars. Both of them will train in this facility and be assigned rankings, but not everyone will make it out alive. Everything depends on their performance, and by God will they give the world a show.
The fourth idea has more of a Stranger Things vibe, with older kids searching for answers to mysterious happenings. The tiny, sleepy coastal town of Myrtle Creek, Oregon has never had much to do with anything at all. Since its drab opening in 1865, the biggest scandal anyone can remember was Crazy Cory stealing a neighborhood cat. Planted snugly between Oregonβs lush wilderness and cold, jagged shoreline, dreary days come and go for Myrtle Creekβs residents. But all of that is about to change. For the kids of Myrtle Creek, the local mushroom hunting club has always been a source of amusement. Many of the townβs adults fondly recall the long, sweltering summers of their childhood spent foraging for various colorful fungi. But recently, some odd events have sprung up during toadstool expeditions deep in the woods, and itβs up to the kids to get to the root of it. With mysteries around every forest path, itβs safe to say that the Myrtle Creek Mushroom Club is about to find more than just mushrooms.
The fifth idea is a bit more of a classic sci-fi "people with powers" scenario. Itβs 1969, and there are ships in the sky and sinkholes in the ground. In an alternate reality where the Cold War erupted into a full-scale global nuclear disaster, Russia and what remained of eastern Europe quickly claimed the ruins of post-war America. Due to the radiation phenomenon, children born during the disaster had their genetic codes altered, imbuing them with abilities which appeared almost supernatural. Some were weak and others were immensely powerful, but all were put into special zones by Russian officials in order to track their development. Then the real disasters started occurring. Sinkholes appeared everywhere. They were bottomless, leading who knows where, and each one was different. Regular rescue forces found exploring these sinkholes virtually impossible with the extents of modern machinery and tech. They needed something a little... out of the ordinary. The horrific effects of the earth-shattering war and the sinkholes that followed were laid upon the backs of the children. Those kids who survived being torn from their families, the experimentation, and radiation at the labs were now trained into an elite task force called Dart, or Drotik in their native language. They lived in camps which trained them to navigate the sinkholes and rescue the people and objects they found there, and they were experienced in dealing with the mutated creatures found in the darkest recesses of the earth. Muse A and B are spies representing rebel governments, but will they expose the secrets of the nuclear state in time?
The sixth idea is located in the same universe as the sixth, so feel free to refer to that as necessary. The only twist is that a western European agent has been sent an accompanying cyborg to infiltrate the Russian higher-ups in Moscow, the area of the head of operations for the Nuclear State Project in America. The duo will face off against malicious robots, do a lot of lying and scheming, and, when it comes down to it, will risk their lives for the sake of their mission.
The seventh idea is inspired by space dogfighting and Star Wars! The year is 3000, and all the people of Earth, Mars, and every distant planet of the Solar System are governed by a powerful unified force known as the Solar System Force (Solsys). There have been great leaps and bounds in technological advancements. People no longer age and remain youthful in appearance until the very end of their lives, disease has allegedly been long-eradicated, and babies are genetically engineered in test tubes. But all these achievements have not come without sacrifice... and some are desperate to hold onto the ancient ways. In a system where pregnancy is taboo, birth control is widespread, and abortions are kept under the radar, a small colony of people believing in the illegal idea of natural birth are sent to live on a outcast labor group on the Galilean moon of Ganymede. Labeled "the Borns" for their far-fetched ideology, they dwell in a massive crater called Anat, the only warm zone located next to a magma bed at the bottom of the crater. Beyond the crater are fields of ice. Strange creatures dwell in the seas and glaciers, so leaving is considered a death sentence. Life is hard, but satisfying. Solsys leaves the Borns alone most of the time, and they mainly keep to themselves. But all of that is about to change.
