Boop the snoot, you get the shoot
Welcome to the OOC thread. This is our tranquil space where we may discuss plot, characters, etc., and I can also answer any questions that you may have. Or we can, you know, just screw around if we feel like it.

There is also a bowl of sweets there on the table. Help yourself :3

Anime/drawn pictures are probably better for the game character appearance, but realistic/photos are better for the player character.

I have requested a Lore tab. Anyone may submit contributions to the game world, such as enemies, locations, special objects, or backstory segments. These contributions must be approved by me over PM before they are submitted.

Does Misty carry her sword on her back? Furthermore,is it a one handed,or two handed sword? And a sword goes into a scabbard,or a sheathe. Not a holster.

@Alad V

On her back, and one handed (It's in her description) and a scabbard, thanks for the info ^-^

@Dawn Hollenwell

Hate to say it,then,but she's hosed. It's a physical impossibility to draw a sword from a back scabbard. The blade is too long,the arm is too short. And drawing a sword in such a posture will leave the swordsman wide open,where a cross-draw from the hip will put something between your chest and the enemy,and while drawing,you can strike while going back into a guard position.

All-in-all,the scabbard on the back is a myth invented by Hollywood. It's suicidally impractical,due to how impossible it is to draw a sword from such a position.

I can back up his claims. I have a sword in my room right now and I can tell you it's impossible to draw the damn thing out from behind my back.

I mean, we could just say that "Hey, it's a video game, so the sword teleports out of the scabbard into her hand," but kinda breaks the realism of the game world. A hip sheathe would be more realistic.

Hey,King,I think we should do another round of advertisement. Maybe tag the users who you believe would be interested,regardless.

@The Doorman

Oi! It's been about a week. I thought you wanted in?

@Alad V @Dawn Hollenwell

Well, it's been nine days since the opening of this thread. I'm perfectly fine with starting the RP now with just the three of us and picking up any later applicants (if there are any TT_TT), so long as you guys are okay with it as well. If you aren't, then you could help out by assisting me with advertising.

To be honest, I think opportunities for advertising are very limited on this site. With the way the threads work, if you post an interest check only the people that view it in the first two or three days will see it, and after that it gets flooded by the other interest checks and moves along to page two and three. And let's be honest. When searching for something, how often will you resort to checking past the second page?

I prefer posting my links in the chat box, but I can't post it too often or it's "spamming", and all of the mods just tell me to use the interest check forums anyways. The upside is that I know for sure people will see it and probably at least look at the RP.

That's fair, I can change it to a hip sheathe :3

And I apologize, I've already made my entry post and didn't even look here in the OOC before I did.

It's fine. The main reason is that I'd rather wait until we have more people, especially now that I know for sure at least one more person is joining.

I figured I might as well put up a map of where Silas keeps all of his weapons. He has a huge number of them,compared to most,and he wears each and every one.

-Stiletto:
Stowed in a scabbard built into his quiver. A common place for archers to keep their sidearm.

-Pesh Kabz: Sheathed vertically,in the center of his chest,point up. This is actually where the combat knife rests on the Canadian Armed Forces Active Combat Uniform.

-Quiver: Small of the back,fletchings pointed out to the right. The proper place for a quiver,either horizontally at the tailbone,as it is here,or resting on the hip like a scabbard.

-Longbow: Hitched over the left shoulder,and secured with a quick-release snap-strap. Discarded if the fight gets into melee with it drawn.

-Caestus: Left hand; It only gets removed for sleep. It's literally just a reinforced & studded hand covering.

-Katar: Left hip,in a scabbard. It's almost the size of a shortsword.

-Cat's Paw: Left side of the ribs,in a pouch. Only available place left,really,and claws are difficult to transport.

Sheathe and Blade- Located and strapped around her hip. The blade resting on her left hip, since she is right handed, she pulls it out from across her body.

Throwing Knives- One hidden in each boot, two others secured in a right wrist strap, hidden underneath the sleeve of her suit. Another clipped onto the belt of her sheathe, noticeable to the eye.

Small pocket knife- Stored away in her back pocket.

Hand gun- Rarely used, but stashed in an ankle-holster with a calf strap on her left leg.

A little lesson on arrows,since my character will be using them a fair amount.

-Bodkin Arrows. Bodkin arrows are designed to penetrate armour. Their heads are little more than spikes,and have a very small surface area. They're literally miniaturized pikes,flying through the air faster than the eye can track. Due to their shape,they can pretty much ignore any armour. However,also due to their shape,they inflict very little injury; A bodkin arrow's killing power comes solely from whether or not it punctures a vital organ. Due to the arrow's properties,it is far more likely than other arrows to overpenetrate the primary target,and continue flying for a distance behind,and practically guaranteed to happen when used on an unarmoured foe.

-Broadhead Arrows.
A broadhead arrow is an arrow with,funnily enough,a rather broad head. This head is large,and quite often barbed or scythed. Due to the head's properties,broadhead arrows tend to be ineffective against armour,failing to penetrate,more often than not. However,against unarmoured targets,broadhead arrows are a flying nightmare. They do not need to penetrate an organ in order to kill the target; They simply have to sever blood vessels,which they do quite well,due to their large surface area,and their resign making removal almost impossible without a surgeon's help. Death by broadhead arrow is slow and painful,as you'll die from blood loss more often than from organ failure.

Yo,King! I was wondering if I might be able to make a second player and character? I was struck with a character concept.

I should be back in a bit, I'll apply then so that I have more time, sorry I didn't do anything sooner... ^-^"
