Jewel's 1x1 Partner Search Thread
About Me
Hey, hello, I go by Jewel. I'm 18+ and I'm from North America. My timezone is MST/MDT (UTC-6). I've been roleplaying on RPNation on and off for a couple of years now. I consider myself to be an advanced literate roleplayer. I prefer to write anywhere between 600-1200 words per post, though that is subject to change depending on the pace of the roleplay. I don't usually partake in semi-lit but I would be open to it. I have never been nor will likely ever will be interested in any sort of fandom roleplay. Furthermore I am only interested in roleplaying on this site. Third person past tense.
Because I am 18+ I prefer that my partners are as well. This is because I like writing roleplays which are subject to more sensitive or darker themes. I prefer to play male characters (and I prefer m// or m/f) but I am also LGBTQ+ friendly.
I am pretty busy with school so it is extremely unlikely that I will be able to respond every day. Please, please do not nag me for replies. Also, rest assured that I will not come after you if you decide to ghost-- seriously, no pressure there. OOC is nice but not a must.
This thread contains most of my Sci-Fi ideas. There's a link in my signature to my Fantasy-based thread.
CompatibilityNot required, but I would be pleased to receive a writing sample from you!
Please, above all else, be respectful. I would like it if you could respond once a week but I am extremely lenient on this since I know life can get busy. Likewise, I ask that you would be patient with me since I do have a job on top of being a full-time student. I am not interested in roleplaying over discord/email.
Please be 18+.

Into The Depths: (0/1)
Meteors have utterly destroyed the face of the earth and due to toxins in the air, the planet's surface is totally uninhabitable. Most humans fled to the stars while others, refusing to leave the planet behind, fled to the depths of the ocean. Those who left the planet were prosperous in starting new colonies all throughout the galaxy, and those who stayed behind were cut off from the rest of the world, dwindling in numbers until believed to have died off.
Hundreds of years later, Muse A, a space pirate/adventurer/soldier crash lands onto earth and their vessel sinks deep into the ocean.
Muse B has been holding out at a research facility located at the bottom of the big blue for a really long time. They are successfully able to save Muse A, bringing them and their ship safely into an empty submarine bay. Muse A's ship is utterly unfixable, but luckily there is another ship available! But it's located in another, less accessible sector. Not only is it far, but the facility's AI has gone haywire. Rogue animatronics roam the facility, dangerous and unpredictable. Muse A and B must travel through several abandoned sectors in order to reach the location of the site's vessel if they ever want to escape, or else be condemned to a horrifying end at the bottom of the dark ocean.
Snows of Pluto (0/1):
Muse A is an incredibly renown bounty hunter traveling the galaxy to catch criminals, earn fame, and make cash. They've been to countless galaxies and systems, they've had the most exotic food and drink. Denizens of many planets adore them. But in the line of business, Muse A has made many enemies. Their ship is shot down from the sky and crashes onto a poor, heavily populated outer moon. The planet is a known hub for smugglers, for crooks, and for merchants of the black market.
Muse B is on the run. They aren't from this planet, but was brought here and sold into servitude as a young child. Up until recently, they worked in a machine shop, their previous master having gone nearly senile from old age. They'd begun to give up hope of ever leaving the planet. Until the day their master is murdered- and Muse B becomes the primary suspect. Knowing the law will not be on the side of a mere slave, they flee into the city and come into contact with Muse A, who agrees to take Muse B with them in exchange for fixing their ship.
What will happen when Muse A learns that Muse B is an escaped slave-- one with a sizable bounty on their head? Or when the local authorities find that Muse A aided the escape of a dangerous criminal?
Half-Baked IdeasIdeas that need a little shaping
Toska.
- The earth was decimated by alien invaders. Those who survived serve in mining camps. Muse A is a spunky rebel fighter, Muse B is a half-alien enforcer who serves empire.
Galaxomas.
- In the future, everyone lives safely inside The Sphere, and live their entire lives deeply immersed within the virtual realm. Some unsetting event prompts Muse A to try to leave the protective walls of The Sphere-- and what they they find, despite all government issues stating otherwise, is that there are people living in the wilderness, completely unplugged and fighting against the digital enslavement of the people of Earth.
Fract.
- Muse A and Muse B are human survivors of an alien invasion on Earth!
Ukiyo.
- Long ago, light faded. The inhabitants of Muse A's planet grew accustomed to navigating the dark, blind and cold-- no sun, no moon, no stars, no fire. Until a mysterious ship crashes in the wastelands, and a strange, unknown figure (Muse B) emerges wielding something called "a flashlight".

... "Vibrant lilac and amber orange soared across the evening sky, a dusty scattering of wispy clouds smudged against ancient hues of rose-red, orchid-blue, and violent bursts of violet, stretching like fingers over the ashen grays clasping to the edges of the earth’s hemisphere, while a deep darkness settling over the horizon waiting to swallow the sunset and bring on the starry night. Purple, purple like twilight, like the indigo bands of a rainbow, or the face of the new moon during a total solar eclipse. Purple like Kepler, like amethysts, like lolite, sapphire, jasper, and tourmaline. Such gemstones twinkled and gleamed from their rocky perches in the clefs and rigs of General Xoveon’s plated backside, a stem of expensive jewels clinging to his muscular form and jutting out at his broad shoulders and around his neck. Shiny, sharp, sculpted gems caught the orange glow of the earth’s setting sun and sent refractions of light bouncing off of the dark suits of the Xux’ite guards’ armor. They were savagely beautiful, illuminated in the vivid rays streaming in through the wide glass windows which revealed the barren earth below.
Teeth’s attention was abruptly torn from the colorful array of gemstones, that glamorous collection of wealth studding the tall, heavily plated man, to the dingy assembly of tattered huts and tents inside the tall tan walled enclosure they were descending upon. Teeth adjusted his hold on his blaster, a comfortable weight in his hands pressed firmly against the grips of his covered fingers. Earth. Dressed in dead foliage and toxic waste, where black forms of desecrated mountains rose from the flat ground, draped in shades of fantasy rose and silver, gleaming under the heavy weight of the earth’s closest star—the sun. The tops of must-colored roofs curved outward against the sandy plateau of the cracked, dry ground offering no contrast, a flavorless, desolate attempt at civilization. But no, not civilization. It was a camp, one of few littering the earth, a once-thriving population of humans reduced to a mere fraction of survivors herded into encampments and forced to give their years away to the dark crevices of the earth’s charred interior. Poor bastards." ...
