X-World - In a world where mutants are real and at odds with humanity what will happen?
It was 1915 when the first one happened. A Gas attack of the mustard variety was launched in the western front. It was a pretty bad one too with a lot of the usual effects but on one solider, whose name has been lost to history, it didn't intentionally have any negative consequences on the man. for it gave him power. in the explosion of energy with crystals that are there to this day a new race was born from what would be called an X-Nova. Mutants which during The last year of the war they were quite the weapons of mass destruction though due to The Central powers lose of a country and heavy losses it failed to stand more than a year and a few months. afterwards they quickly became public enemy #1 and it was only exacerbated with the great depression hitting the world only a few countries didn't outright try to hunt them and only because they were pressing them into the military making WWII very bloody. In German conquered areas of Europe a new kind of mutant fighter emerged. What would become the Masked Heros aided the resistance but kept their identities a secret unlike in the past where Mutants were specially designated. soon the idea spread so mutants around the world could fight injustice and others perverted and created the masked villain. also the Second X-Nova happened in Hiroshima with the nuke going off. and An Arms race began with both Nukes and mutants. and around this time it was discovered what the source of their power was. Logan's organ which is either an orb shaped organ or a string of nodes lining the brain. both have cells that create meta-energy which when pumped into either the brain or a body part/organ create their abilities. their own civil rights movement really kicked off in the 60's with the rise of African American civil rights. One big one was called M-Revolution. They were the biggest from 60's thriugh the rest of the cold war with even some big movers and shakers like JFK, MLK and even John Lennon plus others. however The villans unleashed hell on humanity and mutant-kind. And in hotspots around the world the issue is reaching a boiling point. The parties involved Are The Guard who shall protect humanity and mutants and foster peace, while Liberation X-Front will gain mutant equality and the superiority if possible plus pay back for the abuse humanity has wrought. The Mutant Regulatory Agency (MRA for short)Is A UN unit that was originially US gov agency in charge of dealing with Any Threat the mutants posed, now they just do it on a global scale. and finally the most mysterious of all The True Blood movement which is a loose network of all who wish to totally eradicate mutants.
The RP locations shall be divided into Hotspots which is where tensions are high in this world in regards to Mutant-Human relations.
Dresdin City,USA: The North American Hotspot and location of the Site of the 3rd X-Nova after Chernobyl. A high Tech City in the mid-westthat varies greatly from neighborhood to neighborhood.
Izamachu,Brazil: Built upon the ruins of an ancient civilization it has become quite a tourist trap but also the tunnels do have uses for those who wish to hide becoming quite the homeless mutant hangout.
Triera, South Africa: The hotspot in Africa only because of the number of mutants of various ethnic origins. as such they tend to get into high-power street clashes with each other a lot.
Shizuka,China: A very Industrial City which through a mix of heavy pollution and Migration from Japan has lead to a high Mutant population that constantly are at odds with the government.
Trisden, England: Another place that accepts mutants though this one also has it's fair share of hate group involvement. thus another high tension area.
