"That's pretty cool," Ili said, thinking about his own magic for a moment, how he can only cast it on himself... oh well, at least he could change his body whenever he wanted to.

"Whaddya think we'll get to learn at the school?"

soon, Ili found another hand inside his slimy body, James was giggling

"he he! you're like a big, moving blob of jelly!"

he tried to pull out, but found some of Ili coming with him

"uhh... h-help! i'm stuck!"

"Mmm, y'know, you taste pretty good," Ili said jokingly as James tried to pull his hand out of the goo. A quick touch of digestion and he let the other child free.

"What's up?" he asked, shifting to a deep purple colour as his face reformed into a slightly different one.

"So....you seem quiet?" The thing tried again, it's shifts seemingly calmed down. Nellie simply nodded, looking down at her fish bowl. "So....you not from around these parts?" Shaking her head no, she moved a little farther back in the seat. The shape shifter frowned before shaking it's head.

"You ready for the school?" Shaking her head again, the thing's frown grew deeper and they fell once more into silence. At least, one did. Nellie on the other hand, with head bent down, eyes on Gullivan, was silently speaking, transmitting a sort of 'gift' her kind hand, talking to the clown fish as he tried to calm her down, often giving her cues to nod when the thing across from them had spoken.

"i don;t taste yummy!"

as he was released, James stumbled back, knocking into a big big-faced Ogre

"Hey, watch it human, honestly you should al just leave"

James got angry

"hey, humans were here first, you're all intruders who we let live here! if anyone should leave, it's you!"

the ogre turned around, picking James up by the head

"oh really now? if humans belong here, then why are you all so weak!?"

he bean to squeeze James's head

"h-help! somebody!"

Trace sighed. He stood up,and placed a handon the ogre's shoulder. "Your attitude annoys me. Drop him." Trace looked into the ogre's eyes. His eyes were nothing but black orbs. A green energy began to race down his arm,and to his watch. "Actually, better idea." The energy surged into the orge's head. "Forget this ever happened." Please work, please work, please work! A final surge of energy rocketed into the ogre's head, and Trace backed up slightly. "What do you remember?"

Before Ili got the chance to do or say anything, Trace had already done his little memory trick, so he just 'sat' back and watched.

as the surge of energy shot through the ogres head, he dropped James and went blank, the ogre then stumbled back a bit, clearly disorientated from haivng his memories altered

James sat up, rubbing his behind

"aww... my bum hurts... and i've already got a bully... and he's a big, scary ogre"

he bought himself back up to his feet, then he turned to Trace

"thank you Trace" just how his parents taught him to say it.

Trace shrugged, and resumed his seat. "To be frank, you had some sort of payback coming. I only stepped in to keep you alive." As he flexed his left hand,he added on, "You need an attitude adjustment."

James frowned

"hey, this world has been ruled by humans for thousdands of ears, all the others were summoned here"

he clenched his fists

"anyway, he started it, saying humans should leave our own world so racists like him could take it"

Hearing a rather loud angry voice, followed by other various muffled ones, the spider creature had opened their door, and catching what the one boy had said, promptly slammed it back shut and shooting a look over it's shoulder. "Humans....what is it with your kind that seem to think your tough stuff?" It directed at Nellie.

Looking up, Nellie chuckled softly before shaking her head, "I'm...not." The thing looked surprised, before shrugging and leaning back, "Fair enough, fair enough....but yeah, they just, they piss me off. They act like they were hear first, ignore their own legonds that praised our kind for showing them how to live here, purge us for evil, curse us, fear us, force us to live away from our orginal homes, and waged war against us no matter how many times we sided with them....it just makes me sick."

Nellie had heard the same things from her parents and simply nodded. Truthfully, she didn't know, and the way she heard people speak about it, she didn't want to know. Looking down at Gullivan once more, she shook her head. "Not all of them....some are nice."

Trace shrugged. "But you responded in kind. You're no higher than him." After a sigh,he said, "And humanity wasn't first. History books say dinosaurs, other texts say supernatural beings were first. I have a guess." Trace closed his eyes. "The planet belongs to whoever can hold it. Humanity needed help to win that war, right? What does that say?"

"Does it really matter?" Ili asked, sliding out into the hall where all the commotion was going on.

"We're here now, right? Let old problems stay old, and just deal with the new ones."

James looked around, then went into the cabin near him and sat down.

he watched as the world wizzed past outside, soon the train entered a tunnel, briefly everything went pitch dark but the lights soon came on

"Hey Ili... i'm sorry about what i said... about non-humans... its just, when he said humans should leave i just got so mad... i'm really sorry"

"Doesn't matter," Ili replied cheerfully, slopping back into his seat, forming into a human shape again, this time orange.

"I don't really see what the problem is anyways, it's a pretty big empty world right now."

James nodded a bit, twiddling his thumbs

"so.. uhh... did you get an invitation or something? my daddy i- *ahem* i mean, my DAD has "some pull" as he calls it, at the school so he got me enrolled really easily, what about you?"

he sat up straight, arching his back with his hands clasped together between his knees.

As Gorgonzola continued nibbling his cheese sampler, he saw out of the corner of his eye one of the students getting into what looked like to be a fight with an ogre, followed by the red haired lad calming the ogre down before rescuing the shapeshifter he saw before. "Coooooooool! I wonder how he did that..." Part of Gorgonzola wanted to go over and immediately ask the boy, but in the end, he decided to go over to another compartment in case something else went down. As he opened the door, he saw a cute bespectacled girl that seemed to be listening to a spider creature rant about humans. Frowning, Gorgonzola decided to join in on the conversation as soon as the girl replied!

"I agree! Especially the ones that hand out free food!" he replied to both of them, in particular the girl as he took out a box of cheese samplers, offering both of them one.

"I've got no idea," he replied simply, voice swapping around again in a staccato of high pitched squeaks. It was the truth, Ili just kind of happened by this place, and for some reason had a ticket; at least that was how he remembered it. Had he remembered before Trace's little memory trick? The whole idea of it boggled his mind, so he just didn't bother to think about it.

Looking up as someone new came in, Nellie just blinked a few times, staring at the thing he had offered. Shaking her head, she watched the spider creature accept one and eat it rather quickly before replying, "Still, if their going to complain, they should watch themselves. Eventually, with they way the treated this place, we're gonna get pissed off and fight back."

Nellie just nodded, moving over so the new kid could sit down, looking at her pets for a second, before shaking her head. "Why? That just proves them right....?"

"realy? you don;t know.. woah"

the train came out of the tunnel, it was now going over a rickety bridge several hundred metres from the bottom of a huge valley, James looked out and instantly, his eyes shot open and he went from the chair to kneeling on the floor

"don't look out, don;t look out, don't look out" he began telling himself, shaking, he was clearly absolutely terrified of heights.

Ili looked outside, down the massive drop, his entire body wobbling from the train's motion.

"What's the big deal, it's just a big fa-.... oh yeah, other people go splat when they fall that far don't they..." he said aloud, clearly having forgotten about normal physical limitations.

"y-y-yeah, splat! we dont just put ourselves back together..."

James was not not repeating "dont look down" now he was just wimpering, just hoping the train would get back on solid ground soon.

As the train trundled along,Trace remained oblivious. He was caught in a timestreamer trance. He saw the past flash before him. A creature, made of black fire, with furious red pits for eyes. A shattered halo above it's head. It fought against an assembled team of humans. One died inside,to the creature's minions. One fell to the monster in mortal combat. A maze. A helicopter. A blinding flash, then,a crater of glass.

As Gorgonzola sat down next to the girl, he ate the cheese sampler that she refused. Looking over at the spider, he added, "Who's they? And who's we? Aren't we all alive and breathing? There's no need to divide ourselves when we can just get along quite fine! Geez, you sound like one of those old guys that want to get rid of every single Mexican chupacabra that's living here simply cause those old guys think they don't deserve to live here or something!" Gorgonzola took out another cheese sampler and ate it, still lamenting that he didn't bring those delicious cookies with him.

"Uh..." Ili thought aloud, trying to think of some way to help while they crossed the bridge.

"Look at the bunny?" he tried, morphing his hand into a fair imitation of a rabbit if it were orange and made of quivering jello.
