i had an entire monologue typed out, but i lost it all when the website spazzed out and i lost it all, so screw that im gonna give a summary.<br>

<br>

the world has changed, after decades of combat between the army of warriors, mages, monsters, demons and more under the command of Marco Highland against the demonic forces of "the old ones" with their human servants the nightrise corporation" the war that started 10,000 years ago has finally ended, many of the non-humans in the legion have remained on earth though, to make a new life, to make earth into the first ever world where all creatures live together, from the half-human half-snake Naga and Lamia <a href="http://www.vampires.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Lamia.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.vampires.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/Lamia.jpg</a> to the proud, prudish 4-armed Jaziida <img style="margin: 0pt; border: 1px dashed red; cursor: pointer;" src="http://www.rpnation.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1276&stc=1" attachmentid="1276" alt="" id="vbattach_1276" class="previewthumb"><br>

and everything in between.<br>

<br>

our school is situated in the mountains near the border of Europe and Russia, from an outside perspective, the only thing visible of our school are the big black spires towering over the thick forrest cannopy.<br>

around the outside of the school, there is a great lake, hundreds of meters across, it was once the baren field near a small italian mining town, where the legion bombarded the area to kill a large army of Old One infantry, leaving the whole area flat and dead, untill now, as the forrests and deserts have reclaimed most of the world, so has the forest reclaimed this area as well, the lake is 500 metres across and just over 150 metres deep.<br>

the only way to get to our school is by train, this train has no name, people just call it the "school train", the track it follows cuts through thick forrests, goes through mountains and over a massive valley on a shakey, insanely high bridge, a truly terrifying ride.<br>

<br>

our story opens at the train station, where the school train will be leaving from to go to the school, what will happen there? will your character become an equal even to Marco Highland? will they excell in the fields of potions? sports? the possibilities are endless!<br>

James was in the station standing next to a tall, blonde beautiful woman, she looked no older than 25 but she was a lot older than that.<br>

james looked up to her as she gave him his ticket, then said something to him, he nnodded and looked down, she put a hand on his chin, lifting his head and giving him a kiss on the forhead, of course being a young boy, he looked around and wiped the kiss off his forhead, his mother let out a slight giggle then his dad came around, he was wearing a cap, scarf and a large coat, he knelt down and handed James his wand, it was a beautiful piece, the same one his grandfather once used, now passed on to him, his dad gave him a hug and he returned it, after letting go he looked at the train, his mother put his train ticket in his pocket and gave him some money for snacks.<br>

<br>

soon though, the announcer called out, he wasn't human, in fact he was a Naga, he used his snake lower half to grip a tall pole and he called out with a megaphone<br>

"BOARDING CALL! BOARDING CALL! HAVE YOUT TICKETS READY!"<br>

along the train, inspectors in big black overcoats began checking student tickets as they begant o board the train.<br>

James's father leant in<br>

"good luck my boy, no matter what, know both your mother and i are very, VERY proud of you"<br>

after another hug from both his mother and father, James set off towards the train, nearvous and excited

Trace Legacy looked around the platform, his face showing no sign of emotion. However, within himself,he couldn't help but admit that this was a very high point in his life. He approached the ticket booth, wheeling a single piece of luggage behind him. The counter was slightly high for him,and that bothered him slightly. Trace let go of his bag,and jumped up to the counter, grabbing it,then hauling himself up so he rested his arms on the countertop, with his chin on top of his hands. The woman behind the counter,a djinn, was slightly surprised by this. "Gimme a student's ticket." The djinn woman looked insulted, and Trace hauled himself even further up,so hic chest was on the counter,as he used one hand to rummage in a pocket. He extracted a slip of paper.

He eased back into his original hanging position, and handed it to the djinn. "I was told this would be enough." The djinn woman looked obviously annoyed, yet at the same time, disgusted. She taken the piece of paper, which was actually a check, signed for by the United Magical Entities, the magical society's version of the United Nations. The woman's face went from a deep blue to nearly white. "Huh. I never knew djinn could do that. Cool." The check was for seventy-five euro. She handed him his ticket, and Trace allowed himself to drop to the floor.

He grabbed his luggage's handle, and began wandering around the platform, but soon enough, the boarding call sounded across the platform. He passed the post just as the naga was coming down from the pole. Trace looked at him and smiled, and the naga gave an awkward smile back, then slithered off, muttering something about dead eyes. As Trace approached the train,he saw a boy getting...touched by a man and a woman. He boarded the train behind him,and asked, "Why do you let them touch you like that? It must be uncomfortable."

james turned around to see another young boy, but there was something about him, his eyes seemed... dead, like he was mostly asleep and just doing through the motions, very creepy.

"uhh... n-no, thats my mommy an... *ahem* i mean, thats mom and dad, they were just giving me a hug and saying goodbye"

"NEXT" called the inspector, James handed up his ticket, it was a human man doing the checking, his accent pointed him to be african, nigerian maybe, however behind the goggles, beret and face mask it would be hard to tell by looking at him.

"okay, James Highland, you check out, NEXT!"

then came Trace's turn

"Trace Legacy... huh, homunculus, odd... okay you check out, NEXT!"

James was kinda suprised at what the inspector said

"a homunculus? whats that?"

The train station, an interesting place; there was so much going on here, and Ili was ceaselessly amused, sliding about to look at things. When the students were called to board the train, Ili resisted the temptation to just board via one of the many windows, the little crystal ball was far to important to get lost for the sake of simple laziness; so they boarded like the other students did, right behind a couple of others. When the man checked for Ili's ticket, Ili kept pulling it back inside himself, giggling foolishly as he teased a full grown man until they finally reached inside and grabbed it.

"Oooo, that tickles," he giggled again, voice changing in pitch, like he hadn't decided which one was his yet.

The ticket man was left with his arm, dripping blue slime all the way to his elbow.

As Ili entered the passenger car, he tuned in on the conversation between the boys ahead of him, and started trying to think of a good way to prank them.

Minka held the crumpled ticket in her hand while staring at the contraption in front of her; it was currently bellowing smoke and blowing its warning whistles. She had never been on a train before, nor was ever going to, when a ticket had materialized in her pocket less than a week ago. It was a sign, and although she had grown accustomed to ignoring such, she found this one to be rather unnerving. The train ticket was to a school she had never heard of, but soon found she had been enrolled in.

Unlike most of the others on the platform, she assumed, she did not have parents and had not applied herself. Accepting the message the entity was trying to send, she packed up her limited amount of stuff and was now standing here. The inspector looked at her rather impatiently and she blushes, stepping up onto the train as he readily took the worn paper from her hand.

“Minka...” he then briefly searched the paper,

“Have you worn out your last name?” he questions, to which she shakes her head

“n-no” she re-instates rather quietly.

“…Alright, you check out, NEXT!” and with that she was forced into the cabin,

She strolled along rather slowly, looking for a spot that she could sit in, as well as watching out for the people in front of her.

Getting pushed along by a steady hand at her back, and a hand on her wrist, a little brunette, fumbling half heartedly with a snap of a bag, was pulled to a stop in front of a ticket inspector as the line had moved forward, a small tiny splash trail of water behind her from the bowl in her other hand.

"Ticket, Ma'am..."

Nodding, the child kept messing around with the bag before it was taken away from her quite quickly. "Honestly Eleanor, learn to be more prepared. If you are to be the next one of us to grow as a protector, you must learn to be organized, prompt, quick in your movements, and always on time." A chirpy voice of a woman said roughly, pulling out the ticket before handing it to the man. "And for the love of god, would you get rid of those worthless human texts..."

Completely ignoring the look of annoyance on the ticket taker, who was clearly human, Eleanor, otherwise referred to as Nellie, was shoved up onto the train, her only source of interest being taken from her in the process. Pausing for a moment, while her mother insulted yet again the ticket taker on his appearance, she reached out, grabbed a hold of the small book, and darted up the stairs before it could be removed again, leaving her mother cursing before the woman stormed off.

Getting halted behind other kids, she bowed her head, looking down in an attempt to not draw attention, she stared down at Gullivain and Ross, the former swimming lazily about the bowl, the latter just doing what anemone's do, just sitting their and breathing. The clown fish paused for a moment, looking up at her and seemingly winking, causing her to let out a soft giggle before realizing the child in front of her had ducked into a compartment, leaving her clueless as to what she was even suppose to be looking for.

Trace quirked an eyebrow at the first statement. "Hug? Sounds violent." When the boy asked what a homunculus was,Trace simply shrugged. "A created human,is what I'm told. When we arrive,I intend to do as much research as I can in the subject." Suddenly,Trace felt an all too familiar force swelling within his body. He hurriedly barged his way past everyone before him, dragging his bag behind him. He opened the door at the rear of the car,and stood on the car link. He pointed his left arm up,and the arm began to glow a violent red. Red energy arced from his shoulder to his elbow, from his elbow to his watch, and from that to his fingertips. Finally,a cohesive bolt of energy erupted from his hand with a thunderous racket. Trace lowered his arm,and flexed his fingers. Before he could re-enter the car, however, three men,who appeared to be great humanoid lizards with four arms and a bird's face accosted him from the platform.

"Just what was that!?" "Venting the tank. It happens. Deal with it." And with that,Trace re-entered the car, leaving the three jaziida dumbstruck.

Before Ili came up with a suitable way to prank the boys, not by much though, the 'homunculus', as the other had called him, bolted for the back of the train. then it came to him... the hug!

As the homunculus came back into the train, Ili swooshed in and hugged him, effectively swallowing him in now rose pink goo.

"Boo!" he shouted.

Barely even registering the people around her, Nellie just sighed softly, looking down at Gullivan and Ross again. A tap on her shoulder, and she nearly dropped the bowl they lived in. Turning slowly, she looked up at the much larger, zit faced, flaming haired boy behind her who was staring at her with a very serious look on his face.

"That's a neat pet you have, ocean thing right?" Despite his cheerful attitude, and a smile that went over him as he asked about the pair in the bowl, Nellie was going a very pale white. As her eyes transfixed upon his hair, she felt her knees go a little weak. Before the kid spoke again, she was gone, moving quickly around a few kids who gave off small remarks of protest, before she ducked into the room, leaving the flaming child speechless.

Breathing rapidly, she turned around, and stared directly into the eyes of a half breed-ed ogre child. Small, but still rather large compared to anything else, and she had to off handedly wonder how he even fit. The thing took in a deep breath, staring down at her as she felt the uneasy feeling creeping back up. The way it pointed towards the seat across from it though, made her sit down.

As the two stared at each other in silence, Gullivan jumped up from the bowl, before splashing back down, causing the ogre kid to laugh. Pressing back farther into the seat, she was a bit surprised when the kid spoke with a calm, feminine voice, "My name is Remie, what's yours?" A few seconds later, what she had thought to be an ogre, suddenly morphed into a tiny pixie.

"Eleanor..." She manged to squeak out, more than shocked at this point. Even more so, when it changed again to a slender Naga that looked a lot like the one that had been at the counter selling tickets when they had gone through, then to a half spider creature.

"Sorry 'bout that....bit of a sensory overload out there, ain't it?" Nellie could just nod her head slowly, not even sure what she was seeing anymore, never even having heard of the possibility of a full shape shifter.

As Trace walked back into the car,he was suddenly engulfed by a pink slime. He growled slightly, and was about to walk out of the mound of goop when it spoke. "What the...It's alive?" He looked around him for the source, but there wasn't any obvious mouth. However,he did see something within the goop. An orb, made of crystal. "Huh...What's this?" He began to reach for the crystal orb.

"Important, that's what it is!" Ili responded, a face blasting out of the shapeless goo where the boy reached; the rest of his body starting to catch up as it morphed into a humanoid form again.

"I'm Ili," he said, offering his hand to shake before it even completely formed.

Trace was throroughly startled by the sudden change of shape of the being calling itself Ili. He had an odd taste in his mouth...He couldn't place it and...Wait...Is something wriggling? He opened his mouth, and a piece of goop flung itself from his mouth and rejoined itself with Ili. Trace gripped Ili's hand and shaken it. "I'm Trace Legacy...And was it necessary to eat me?"

"It was just a hug," Ili replied, stretching his arms up, up, until they touched the ceiling, and his body poured itself through his arms, inverting himself onto the ceiling.

"Nice to meetcha."

"It was...Interesting meeting you. I'll be honest. You're the first slime I've met. You are interesting." Trace put his weight on his rear leg,and crossed his arms, the red cable marks on his arms plainly visible, his black pits of eyes gazing at Ili. "So,you headed to the school?"

Gorgonzola managed to make it to the station on time, despite the fact that he had to search for his important locket. As he showed his ticket to the conductor, he silently thanked the heavens that it did not end up covered in cheese; after all, his parents did like to conduct strange alchemic studies involving it. He could remember the last time that one of his experiments went awry...

"Way too eccentric, they are...well, at least I won't need to deal with their 'experiments' for a while!" Gorgonzola thought gleefully as he hugged his mom and dad, telling them that he would try his hardest before entering the train. Once he was inside, he was greeted by some very interesting activity - a pinkish slime hugging a spiky red haired lad! Chuckling softly at the sight, he managed to find a seat near the middle of the train and proceeded to plant his rump on the seat. Taking out a tiny pepperjack cheese sampler from his afro, Gorgonzola proceeded to nibble on it!

"The taste is still fresh...no markings, no dirt, it's perfectly clean! Afros really are a great place to store objects!" he remarked as he continued nibbling the sampler, wishing he could have taken his mother's freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with him.

"And you're the first whozem-a-kool-aid I've ever met!" Ili replied, only half joking, his body shifting between the colours of the rainbow without thinking.

"The school...." he said, suddenly serious, "I've got no idea, that where this train's going?"

Trace opted to ignore Ili's first statement; He couldn't make heads or tails of it. "Yes,the traind's bound for the Highland Institute of Magic. I was sent there by me...Handlers. Apparently, they want me to be educated in an environment of my peers." Trace shrugged. "I don't care, either way. I just wanna learn."

"Well, should be more exciting than just sitting around doing nothing," Ili said with a bit of a laugh, slapping back down onto the floor with a very wet sound, and changing back to the blue he'd been earlier.

"Wanna find a seat?"

Trace shrugged. "Why not." He slid into a seat that alloed him to point his left arm out the window easily, and gestured to the seat beside him. "So,what magic can you pull?"

"Magic?" Ili asked, a wry smile playing across his temporary face as his voice played in pitch again.

"Not a whole lot, just stuff like this," he said, his 'arm' freezing solid for a moment, then bursting into flames the next.

"How about you?"

Trace shrugged. "Nothing specific." He pointed his arm out the window, and the red energy arced down his arm once more, then to his watch. However, instead of surging from his hand,as he intended,a destructive wave of raw magic was instead discharged from his feet, throwing around luggage, clutter, and even some of the smaller children. He looked at the chaos, and said simply, "Things like that are frequent." He straightened himself up,and said, "I can also mess with memory. Care for a demonstration?"

"Hmm, sure, why not!" Ili exclaimed, not bothering to care about the earlier misfire. Not like he had many important memories right now anyways... right?

Trace nodded, and placed his hand on Ili's "forehead",and green energy began to arc down his arm,to his watch, and then into Ili's body. He didn't select anything specific. Instead,he decided to help improve Ili's memory. After a sudden surge of energy,he released his grasp, spell complete. "So,what do you remember?"

"Breakfast," Ili replied, thinking back to... that thing... what was it again?

"Or not," he giggled like an idiot, voice 'spasming' again.

"That's a pretty neat trick!"

Trace frowned slightly. "So it miscast. I wiped your memory. Well,at least I know not to pull that stunt again for a while." He streched his arms, and said, "I can do one more thing,but...I can't control it. At all. It's called 'Timestreaming'. It basically lets me see into the past and see possibilities of the future."
