Before you tell me, or already typing in the comments. “Em this a roleplay site…” Yes, I’m fully aware of that. But with roleplay comes literacy genius, and illustrative magic. Which also are some key parts of writing. Writing a book to be specific. So I figured I would bat up and swing, if it doesn’t at least get to first base. At least I gave it a shot.
So, I’m assuming you’ve read the title and my little disclaimer. Your at least half interested, or sticking along to figure what the heck this is. I applaud you champ. Thanks for listening. Further I will list what this ad entails.
I’m looking for a writing partner. Something long term, of course, because I’m planning for this online book ?¿ to be long term. Someone I can collaborate ideas with, someone who is detailed and passionate. Willing to plan character development, as well as plots and chapters that influence the characters development. Symbols. Themes. The whole shabang.
Now you may be asking, what’s this novel about? Good question. Here’s a ...rough answer.
1940’s man is trying to make it big in the comedy world. Goes to bars that will let him in for horrible gigs. Gets a couple laughs. Not really going anywhere. But he’s passionate about this comedy thing. Real passionate. So passionate that he decides to teach a class about it. Posts flyers around town about his great seminar on comedy, and logistics of it. It’s at a cafe that gets little to no business. Girl sees the flyer, she’s interested, not because she likes comedy. I mean she likes getting a good laugh. She’s a psychology student. She wants to know his theory on comedy, she’s looking at from the psychological perspective.
First turn out is pretty big, so he holds another class, and another. The crowd gets smaller, and smaller but she stays. He hits her up asking if she wants to be a comedian. She says no. Then what, he asks. She explains that she’s a psychology major. He’s like, what is a psychology major doing at a comedy class.
That’s what I got so far.
It’s not like boy meets girl fall in love. They study each other. Platonically for awhile. There will be some sort of romance, the plot isn’t just based on it. It follows there lives, and how he struggles with comedy. And how she struggles with her life. And how they find themselves so captivated by the fact they’re so different. They find peace in it.
Sounds not to interesting, that’s why I’m looking for a writing Partner to help it be interesting.
